I should have mentioned that, Joseph is from the musical Joseph and the technicolor dreamcoat (haven't seen that by the way😉) which is very colourful obviously. In the original technique the background is very colourful, a big image is stamped on top and embossed with clear embossing powder and then black ink is layered on top. The colours will still be visible through the embossed image that resists the black ink. Hope this helped
