I've met Julian before and he is a shy awkward person, particularly with people he has never met. He also used to drink too much to cover it up. He wrote some great music but I'm in no rush to meet him again. Albert and Fabrizio were genuinely nice guys.
That's interesting. Where did you meet them?
@@22grandpod Met them at Gig on the Green before they became massive. Got to know their manager Ryan Gentles and saw them a couple of times later. Ryan got my brother and me tickets for the Barrowland gig for the first album. Amazing show and great vibes.
werent they like 20 when they released is this it? makes sense a 19 year old would be like that.
@@barkley8285 22-23 years old.
The worst one is the james corden one Julian just looked like he didn't want to be there don't blame him
Imagine if Julian did a carpool karaoke! But yeah, Corden is a vibe killer.
Well he didn’t have to do the interveiw
Yeah that one was odd. As someone who’s followed the strokes pretty closely, I didn’t know he had a second kid. And the guy just put it out there. Gave a lot of “Ellen and Mariah” vibe.
lol that’s the young people humor. Julian’s always seemed kind of awkward in interviews. lol this was actually worse than the James corden one but in the other ones It was actually nice that he was able to talk about the clothes he was wearing and not making it hard to bring up. I don’t know I guess I’m the only one that vibed. As for the children I don’t think he cared to talk about them: don’t think he’s hiding them either silence he did mention they’re more musically talented then he was when he was a child. I could also be reaching
I think people fail to understand Jules and how he perceives things by the fact that he'd already by this interview been writing and recording music for almost a decade and wrote the whole album himself other than some help with solos in some songs. He knows his worth and knows what not to spend time on. He's a very nonchalant person who wont get bullied or taken aback by anyone's comments because he sees right through it. He's just genuine about who he is. There's a reason he was known as the "coolest" person in NYC.
worst interview more like fucking best
I think he should have asked Stern, "do you like my art or is this interview coming from a place of contempt" he should be happy for Julian's success not Disdain
relax girl, old school Howard Stern was a literal genius ANYBODY would love to do his show
Julian’s just a cool guy. Don’t bother asking him ridiculous questions but he will answer very hilariously and make you feel stupid for asking them
Honestly for as messed up as he sounds he handled the interview pretty well it's actually a cool interview to listen to
They where abusing him.
Thumbnail is decieving. That one from the radio station is the worst. The dude thinks hes like asking god tier questions and he is badicslly juat telling Julian how to react to situations and its okay to say the wrong thing. I mean the dj just did.
Well also the DJ is someone that nobody knows about and Julian is Julian. Has been called out before.
So... instead of trying to be a counselor, can you ask some interesting questions?
Julian should have just left, that’s so annoying.
heheheh il est trop cool
It wasn't anything but a dude loaded talking.
I love his music I listen to the strokes and his solo work and the voids religiously since I was 15
But I’d never wanna hang with him
I can’t stand his lefty ideas and ungrateful perspective
really? I'd love to talk politics with him & I've never thought of him as ungrateful
I think he’s been around too much and is sick of it. Realistic and pessimistic, too smart for his own good but humble somehow.
Ungrateful for what?
People crying about Stern's treatment of Julian really have zero knowledge of how Stern was in the 90s and early 2000's lol Julian got off VERY lightly
The Nardwuar interview was 1 million times worse than this one
Sounded like Nardwuar on the 1st call then the 2nd one was set up. Probably like the so called serial killer calling in to Howard. Its all bs
Lmao I think Nardwyear got so sick of bands abusing him he took a bit out on them, that was a weird one... All the time questioning that thing with Julian's dad, it's like the whole pourpose of the interview was to say they were omly famous because they were rich kids
I didn´t know nardwuar before that interview so i got a pretty bad impression of him from the start. but he´s a cool dude, i never understood why he made that interview so awful
@@juliangonzalez2930don’t act like the strokes weren’t being pretentious throughout the whole interview
@@juliangonzalez2930 I think he was trying to be edgy to be popular or some stupid shit like that... Also he got bullied quite a lot by those "stars" so I guess he just took out on them
