Awesome find and a great methodical approach. Videos like this makes the customer understand how complex a fault can be, what tools and information is needed to trace the fault and why a proper diagnostic session is to be charged for 👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing as always 👌 great find that and the patience to follow through when you know you have to keep removing items but still not quite sure to fix it shows the difference between your average Joe who then farms it out or yours where it gets resolved 👌👌
Good methodical approach and patience that one nice diag reminds me of a fault i had once ripping my hair out step back and a good think does the trick👍🤓
I've now subscribed after watching the video as it was really helpful to understand the actual way the pressure sensor works and which wires are which. I have an issue where the voltage is just staying at 0.49v no matter how full the tank is. Where do you get you wiring diagrams as they look better than Autodata, unless they've been updated recently?
Superb approach, well executed, it was a case of like a detective work trying find the criminal , when you come to test short to ground would you have to disconnect both end harness and set your meter to ohms and one led to good known ground and next led to the pin that in question? Cheers
The problem was that signal wire goes to ground when unplugged from the component so until I unplugged the ecu I wasn’t 100% sure what the hell was going on
Great process but the diagrams let you down, costing a lot of time. I get that a lot. Had they shown the circuits originated from the ECM and merely used the adblue control module as an interconnect point, I've no doubt you would have focused on that nearside front corner from the outset as that produced the change on the first bounce tests. Interesting that the later version does have interface circuitry and is connected to the ECM via CAN.
You can't have drop in ref voltage with bad ground, only with internal short in the sensor. Bad ground can only drive voltage high, not low... And what is the purpose of putting scope to a sensor ground when you had already checked the sensor ground and it's good.
That's the case with pull down sensors but there also pull up sensors which show signal at 0V when unplugged. If you listen he assumed it was a pull up sensor until he found the circuit description from the manufacturers information. He then changed his approach and found the fault
Wow..i have this problem, bought a zafira 2.0 tourer off a dealership..eml came on and traced it to pressure sensor and after changing it the eml still came on and will have to change adblue tank and another sensor in the tank..garage gave me quote for £1400 to get it done.. Can you help?plz
The texa is a fantastic tool. Do you use the doip from texa and if so whats your opinion on it? I used the doip on 2018 volvo xc60 yesterday, texa helpline didn’t help much with setup
@@samfriend8305 it was my first time using it, i might need some help if im doing it correct. Fault codes said “p24c6 unknown error” i had to check on auto data what was p24c6 because texa didn’t give me description on the scan tool.

obviarsely

Fantastic diagnostics. I shudder to think how many parts could have been thrown at that car. Good work as always!
Im really impressed with your patience and way you go about fault finding
Top job mate
What you did there was very impressive you found the needle in the haystack 👍👍
Great diagnosis and use of multimeter to find the short 👍
Incredible, congratulations!
Good methodical approach and patience that one nice diag reminds me of a fault i had once ripping my hair out step back and a good think does the trick👍🤓
Thats master peace. Expensive parts all around.Knowlege is everything.Bravo
Great patience fixing that one 👍
Good that you found a way to "replicate" the fault...
As otherwise would be way more difficult!
👍👍👍
Crazy fault , Very satisfying to find that in the end 👍
Outstanding as always, 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Best fault description EVERRRRR
Now that i call a hard one....In the First Part i was thinking how can the fault be in that short wire Loom - and it wasen´t - great detektiv work !!
You definitely lived up to your business name , great video , cheers
Wow, amazing work Gary, well done
Absolutely fantastic job!
That’s great find mate 👍👍👍👍👍for not given up
Great work. Hard fault to track
Cool diag, wish i had your patience and skills.
great work top diagnosing
You are intelligent indeed..keep it up..!
Forget the fingernails you fixed it, well dune chap great fix that was

Genius gary 👏 👏👏
Que buen diagnóstico, una falla muy complicada.
Also was thinking could u use a led bulb or a 501 bulb on the 5v wire from battery pos to see if lit up ?

I thought using the powerprobe extension lead was an awesome idea too!
Good video Gary 💯
Impressive 👏🏻👏🏻
carking bit of work Gary . how many times did you convince yourself it was a short to grown and think no its not

Just brilliant….
Without a decent wiring diagrams you couldn't possibly trace faults like that nightmare scenario. What software did you use to show us?
HGS Data
@@intelligentauto737 Awesome video, thanks for sharing. How do you find HGS Data? Is it worth having if you already have autodata or alldata? Thanks
Imagine the parts fitted if this was in the USA
How do you find the texa? I use the same everyday find it a very good tool.
Boss ineed your help please tell me which wiring diagram you can use please let me know name for this wiring diagram site
Its called wiring diagrams are us .com

Yeh book it in and I’ll diagnose it

What did you need to do on the volvo to use doip? I use texa as well find it very good. But self taught on it so prob don't use it to its potential

Adblue is the worst thing out, nothing but future problems when you buy a new vehicle with it.
Did the car happen to spew Adblue out the back of the car when the fault came up !?
No
Hello, did you solve the problem? I have the same symptoms on my car with P20E8 and Adblue on the final exhaust
adblue detete time
Never
Its not broken, they make them like that from factory 😂
