Congrats on your retirement and the raku class Lisa! I don't know if I can pick between the pink or purple mugs! They're both beautiful. Thanks for sharing your combos!
I am beyond happy for you! My husband is a teacher and I know it’s a ton of work! Cant wait to see what your awesome hubby does in your studio! The dog bowl is one of my favorites from this kiln load! It’s just gorgeous!! The big bowl that you’ve fired several times is also amazing. For The last two mugs I’d have to choose the purple but of course everything you make is beautiful!
Love love love the first bog bowl!!! My favorite mug is the purple & turquoise! Congrats on your retirement Lisa! Best of luck at your sale next weekend! 💜🤗
Lisa congrats on all the new exciting events happing for you. I really enjoy your videos ! Such nice glazes combinations Thank you for sharing !!!!! Have fun enjoy life and I'm looking forward to when you do have time for another video. Again Thanks Oh and Both Mugs are awesome🙂
Congrats on retiring from your day job Lisa. The raku workshop sounds like a nice way to start your retirement journey. It will be nice to have a studio makeover too! My husband is also very helpful in making shelves for my markets and sales, as well as giving me a spot in his workshop for my kiln, the wheel and installing the vent. I think I like the Norse Blue and pink best.
Retired 72 year old former high school Art teacher. You will love retirement! No alarm clocks, no grading, no dressing to go out everyday. Congratulations on the new advententure.
Thanks for showing us your kiln opening. The kiln gods have been mostly kind. Your refires are great. Congrats on your retirement and can't wait to see your joy again.
Congratulations from Denver Colorado+. Sounds like youre about to start living your best life in this phase of your life, do it at your pace and enjoy, youre already making beautiful pieces.😊
Love love love!💕 Your last mug is my fave also and it’s my go to combo. I like how it turns to purple where fairy rose meets Norse blue. The difference is that you used Alabaster and I use Pearl white over Fairy Rose. Another favorite was the turquoise lake and purple haze! Stunning! Thank you for sharing Lisa! ❤❤❤
On your big bowl that retired 3x- I have had success with just a zinc free clear over pin holed pieces. It works magically without changing glaze color. Love you videos
I had to retire early because of the 2008 recession and it’s the best thing that could have happened to me! I don’t know how I had time to work. What did you teach? I just did my first show and I can’t wait to do another. Your pots and glazes are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing and enjoy retirement.
You're going to have so much more time for pottery, and for eating good food... Nice! What did you teach? I bet you were good at it though 💫 Is your sale an in-person one or is it online? Someday I would love one of your mugs 🩷🩵 You just keep the combos coming Lisa, I love seeing what comes out of your kiln!
Hi Amanda. I taught computers and communications to trade students. A job I truly loved 😊. I am planning to put some pieces in the online store over the summer months and will give people a heads up on my channel 😊. Hope all is well with you and little Fern is doing well 😊
Congrats on retirement. I was able to go early and don't regret it at all. The alabaster is the base of Winter wood. How do you deal with the roughness in a cup. I did a bowl and have not used the winter wood since. I might try it with flux on top. Great combos. I like the purple and blue better.
Thanks! I very rarely line anything with alabaster, Winterwood, or any matte glaze. I don’t typically find it an issue on the outside of a cup. I am using smooth white stoneware which may help. I think a grogged clay might accentuate the roughness.
Congrats on your retirement and the raku class Lisa! I don't know if I can pick between the pink or purple mugs! They're both beautiful. Thanks for sharing your combos!
You are most welcome! Thanks for watching !
I like the big bowl!!

Thanks. I’m pretty excited!
How do you keep your trays so flat? It’s perfect!!
Slow drying and using weights t hold it flat as it dries.
I am a purple girl ! But love all your combos and I am learning a lot :) Northeastern BC … spring has arrived .
Awe spring. We get glimpses of it here. But as always it is slow coming.
Beautiful pieces. 18:48 is my favorite
Thank you!

Beautiful pieces …. What brand is your purple haze …. It’s the best purple I’ve ever seen .
Thank you! Brand is Pottery Supply House. Very reasonably priced as well
Congrats on retirement. I was able to go early and don't regret it at all.

Lisa, how do you glaze the inside of your cups? Do you pour the glaze in then dump out?
Yes that is exactly what I do. Pour in, then pour out
🎉🎉🎉Retirement
Yes!!!!!!! 👏😊🥳
