Honest review of the Merrell Moab Speed hiking / walking shoes. These are the non-gtx version, not currently available online, but the improved GTX version are available to buy online at stores such as Amazon (linked above).
I really like several features to these walking shoes:
1) The grip has been extremely good for the past 1+ years of use. The vibram sole has been long lasting, providing fantastic grip on a range of surfaces.
2) The moab speed are really comfortable, thanks to the padded heal and lots of cushioning underfoot. Even after 1 year, they still feel really nice on, almost like slippers!
3) Flexible & Durable - Whilst I prefer a more supportive shoe / boot for hiking in the fells / mountains, I still think there's a need for the moab speed for shorter summer hikes, exploring trails, dog walking and other lifestyle uses. They are a long lasting shoe, with good flexibility for when support is less important.

I have Merrell Moab Speed mid GTX, I agree, comfort is fenomenal , 10/10, nice suport, good waterproof but the grip. It is good on dry surface, but first time on a wet surface, it was critical. So slippery, no grip and now I am afraid to use them on any chalanging hiking routes with exposed parts

Absolutely! I wear them all the time, dog walking mainly. on & off road. Highly recommend the Moab speed.
Can't find the non waterproof anywhere? How long did these last you?
What are Merrell like for sizing? Normal, small, large.

Id say they are on the normal to large spectrum vs small. I sometimes opt for a UK9.5 in trainers but my merrels are a 9. Still got some space at the front in these.

@@LancashireLadsLifeshoes arrived. Size 9, my usual size, is pretty much spot on. I'd say they're marginally a fraction big (maybe wide). But I reckon smaller size would be too small (I'm a fussy get when it comes to shoes). So comfortable

I suffer from plantar fictitious if it's spelt right but I use reebok ridge riders goretex big toe box really waterproof never been wet in them and a decent price there up for 49 pounds black Friday sale I just wish I'd paid that lol I've done multi days and I love them best I've had

Will it be enough to hike in the himalayans?
hmmm, perhaps not supportive enough if I'm honest here. More of a loose fit, and obvs low cut (no boot support).
Is this waterproof ?
Hi, they designed a waterproof version of the MOAB speed yes, but this particular model is not.
Seriously, did you even watch the video? He clearly says they arent and that there is a waterproof version
