I still bawl my eyes out watching this. The way Kate's voice is like strained and then when Sawyer tells her to close her eyes... It literally kills me. Just the way that their connection is and how they'll do anything to protect each other. Even though Sawyer's about to be shot he's still telling her to close her eyes to /protect/ her from seeing what she doesn't need to. It's remarkable.
I watched all the episodes all the season of lost in about 2 months off of Netflix and this i was my favorite scene... so sad i think i teared up a bit. "Look away Freckles" UGH! made my heart ach. Sawyer was one of my favorite characters so sinster and funny with his nicknames. HAHA. Thanks for making this!
Such an emotional scene.. especially when Sawyer asks Kate to close her eyes.... But I loved how Sawyer got pickett with that button 3 times before the electric shock came... that part cracks me up...
Pickett was by FAR my least favorite character in this show. Loved every single bit of pain that was inflicted on this fake rough guy. Just wish I could’ve seen him suffer for longer

Kate & Sawyer fight for each other with such passion! Sawyer will protect his Freckles at all costs. Kate will protect Sawyer at all costs! "Please I'll do ANYTHING you WANT!" We never saw this kind of passion from Kate when Jack's life was threatened.
Jack’s life was never threatened like this around Kate. Except for the time he got trapped in the cave-in, at which point she dropped everything she was doing and immediately ran to help him, and as soon as she got there she started digging. And the time he had appendicitis and she literally couldn’t stand to see Jack in so much pain, because she cared about him so much. And let’s not forget how she literally marched across the entire Island, back into the danger of the Others, just to save the man she loved: Jack.

I might have clicked on it because I wanted to find the “Kate, damn it, run!” line, because this video is just as much a Jate scene as it is a Skate one. What i don't get is since the others can leave the island (they gave micheal the boat and gave him instructions to get off, he can move the wheel...) why didn't Ben just leave and go to some real hospital, i'm sure that would have saved a lot of trouble
Yes indeed. The Alcatraz angle wasn’t well done overall. The open ended nature of telly at the time and the lack of long term planning had a lot to do with it.

I thought, at one point, The Others mention how their communications went down after Locke failed to push the button and caused the hatch to implode? If comms were down, The Others' navigation system probably wasn't working and they wouldn't have been able to navigate the submarine back to the mainland so that Ben could get to a hospital.
i loved the scene until jack ruined it. i mean, yeah, sawyer got to live, and he's pretty much the only reason i'm watching the show, but that was a sawyer-kate scene. such an intense moment betweeen them.... and then there comes jack, being the oh-so-noble hero, rescuing them and blah blah....

"Close your eyes, freckles" Cheesiest line in the series. Best part of this scene is when Jack steps in and saves Sawyer's sorry ass.
What's cheesy about that? This line was 100% true to Sawyer's nature and made the scene even more powerful and heartbreaking.
