Your videos always amaze me. Seeing a master craftsman like you at work, you make it look so easy. What you did here is not only functional, to me it is art. Thank you for these great videos.
I was fortunate enough to pick up a Harbor Freight bender here in my hometown for the amazing price of $80 . I’ve yet to come across a project that I’m going to use, but I can see how it’s worth it in the long run Thanks for your videos. Oh the little town I’m in Pahrump Nevada 50 miles west of Vegas.
The bearings is clever. I see so many other applications that would come in useful ! I’m going to have to purchase one down the road. Swag makes great products. Thanks
Awesome upgrade. Dude you gotta clean that shop. My OCD was off the roof. 😂 my fab shop isn’t the cleanest but it’s organized. It’s hard to work in clutter like that. It’s also unsafe.
@@MakeEverything yea I figured you’d run out of space sooner than later. Well that’s gonna be a good project. Makes for good content too. Awesome. Best wishes and continued success.
That's awesome man. I learn alot from you I just got Evolution's 14" metal cutting miter saw. It is a game changer for me. Have you seen one? It's just like a miter saw for wood, but with an additional clamping system so the work is securely held while it's being cut. I love it.
More stuff I didn't know I wanted- and badly!!!! Good for you guy! You should serve as an inspiration to all the young guys, and girls!, that want a paying career and aren't afraid to work with their hands AND head! Of course, us old farts just get a giant case of jealously because we can't do a lot of this type of thing anymore, but it's heartening to see that there are still intelligent young people out there that aren't woke snowflakes looking for a handout. Good on you!!!
for checking radius as I roll I just use math to determine the chord height of a 24" chord and then check that against the deflection over a 24" straight edge with a depth gauge or a combo square. It's very accurate if you have accurate measuring tools, or if you just to get in the ballpark if you don't. Those radius gauges are super handy though.
I thought about that while rolling the tubes after filming this, I’m still working on the angle, but I’m thinking about replacing my UHHM spacer with an angled one to accomplish exactly that!
Look up a Promaco 2-40 section roller machine... it's 100 times better and stronger than a cheapy HF ring roller...if you're doing a lot of circular work it's VERY effective! It has 40mm shafts and adjustable rollers to accommodate any size material it's rated for. It can do 2" × 1/2" flat bar the hard way (on edge) in something like a 1 foot radius! Plus a lot more... round, square, rectangular tube, angle iron and C channel. Could really open up some bigger doors for you...they of course have larger machines as well.
Hey Chris, Great info and inspiration!!! After checking out your video I went to the Swag site and noticed the limitations of rolling square tubing. It looks like your hoops are much smaller than what is recommended. Are you doing anything special to get the large group of hoops/the real small ones? Are you using the cromo dies? Thanks!!!
So can the harbor freight tubing roller roll flat strap? I’ve been wanting a ring roller for some time, but I’ve been having a hard time figuring out which one to get, I mainly would be rolling less than 2” wide flat less than 1/4”, and not often enough to justify a really pricy machine.
Yeah the HF will do that type of material but you’d need to get dies from Swag Offroad for the flat material. I don’t think HF makes flat dies like that.
What's the secret for cutting those angles with the hand held circular saw? I'm making table legs out of 2-1/2 square tube with the large evolution saw and had to clamp a fence onto each tube. I just can't see where the cut is. Maybe you're just good 👍
The Milwaukee saw cuts pretty true to the line, there’s a few little marks on the saw plate that helps track a line. I just use a sharpie, draw a line and cut slow. It’s nice being able to cut 2” in one pass like that in basically an unlimited length!
@@MakeEverything Ill just keep practicing, really haven't used the saw much. My table is 2 different lengths and angles so I ended up cutting all four in one pass, super convenient for sure!

I absolutely appreciate the kind words!

That Menorah is pretty awesome
Cool project for a nice tool
Beautiful menorah! Very creative
I really like the design of your stand with the rollers. I'd love to have a tool like that someday, looks like it can open a lot of doors!

I worked for a guy that had that roller. He makes fences, gates, etc and it works very well.

ITS A MESS! But I’m going to be expanding a little bit soon within this existing building and it’s gonna help a lot!

Where did you find those awesome casters?
Amazon! I'll put a link in the description of the video. They are not so cheap, but great so far!
@@MakeEverything Awesome, thank you. Casters can sometimes be an area where you don’t want to cheap out….esp on anything over 500 pounds!

Really good video. I want to see what you're building with all those rings. I saw a bunch of them. Looks like a big order.

Great video and valuable info, thanks. Which milwaukee circular saw and blade are you using.
@@TheAlphaLoneWolf this is the m18 metal saw and a Diablo cermet 2 blade
Thank you. I truly appreciate the swift reply.
Great video. I’m a practicing sculptor and teach sculpture at a university. Where’d you go to school? MFA?
Thank you! School of the Museum of Fine Art Boston! I learned a lot there!
I am so jealous of that mag drill. They have since discontinued making the m18 mag drill
It’s an amazing tool! I am pretty sure they still make it, I know Home Depot still sells it on their website
I couldn't find that specific app, Trigg Solver right? Or triangle solver.
Thanks
Yes it’s called “trig solver” in the apple App Store. I just added a link to it in the videos description too.
Ya know... if you took some plate, and made a little ramp, it would almost guide itself on to the bearings. Great work.

what's that thing that looks like it tells you the radius? how do you use it?

Yeah the HF will do that type of material but you’d need to get dies from Swag Offroad for the flat material. I don’t think HF makes flat dies like that.

Nice job.
Needs more bearings!
Pretty damn cool it really is
Great video and tool. Awesome design and fab. Mahalo for sharing! : )
thats great, where'd you get the casters?
Another great one Zep! How do you think delrin tube over steel rod would hold up vs a stack of bearings?
How do get this machine?

If you are inspired you don’t need college, just the discipline to take the time to learn every day.
Just start doing it 😀
