It's really refreshing to see a pale person content to remain pale and not try to cover their paleness with fake tan or darker makeup. I'm Irish, so most of the time I'm surrounded by very pale people, but the vast majority of pale women and girls around me wear foundation that's too dark, and tan that is too dark, often so much so that it's uncomfortably close to black-fishing. It's especially saddening when it's teenage girls, sometimes even pre-teen girls. So it's cool to see someone who insists on finding a foundation that actually matches their skin instead of trying to mask it.

I lived in Ireland in the 1990s and I remember so many woman/girl who wore makeup having an orange line of bronzer where their makeup met their real skin. It was the golden age (bronze age?) of bronzer in the mid 90s where it started to turn up in the drugstore. At the same time pre-mature aging and sun dammage were rampant. So many people in their 60s with skin cancer on their faces...It's sad to hear that there is still no beauty company that caters to the needs of very fair people.

@@cinemaocd1752Yeah, it's crazy to think that hasn't changed. It's still very common to see girls with orange necks and pale, makeup-less faces the morning after a night out. It seems that most beauty companies completely ignore the people on either end of the skin tone spectrum - the very pale people and the very dark people. It's really a shame.

I am Canadian, and notice the pale types here being natural. I am pale.
In the UK I notice fake tan a lot , and not here, or it is so subtle I can’t tell.
I don’t see bronzer on pale women here.
I think it is regional maybe.

Hannah! The other day I got wild with it and decided to try mixing green color corrector (mine’s the Nyx) into a really saturated blush and see what happened. So I grabbed Glossier Storm, which I almost never use but have held onto for some reason (possible eye shade?), and I mixed with the green and also tried further toning that down with a little of my base product. I got the prettiest cool mauve-y version of old gum in a liquid blush! Would love to see you mix your own concoctions like that, similar to how you were doing for a while with primer and other base products. Would be especially fun for making weird PR work if you have liquid cheek products that don’t initially look promising.

Hannah! I love your content. Your perception of color intrigues me. ❤ I look forward to seeing your interpretation of the products you’re interested in or reviewing. I’ve been wanting a Natasha palette for years, but I just can’t bring myself to buy one. I think. low-key, afraid to buy a pallet that I only use two shades. It’s such a tragedy when that happens when you buy a pallet.🤔

Definitely a dark circles corrector! I got mine in this in N2 and it’s a lovely thick formula so I am using it as a colour corrector just on inner corner where I get dark. It’s a lot of product to use only in inner corner - but same it’s too peach! Which is strange as I loved for year the Natasha denona thick gel creme glow foundation as the undertone was very green gray in my colour. They changed that formula to a regular formula due to what I understand was it’s separation properties (in bottle not on face) and it’s never been the same. The rest looking good!

On things going 'orangey' on your skin/lips - I have the issue of the true neutral/slightly olive nature of MY skin cancelling the rosy aspect of many products.

I use the glowy cream in the tan palette, in and around the contours of my cheeks
the subtle shimmers create a really soft but warm contour look on me

The look you put together was beautiful, I love to hear you talk about makeup. I am also pale but unfortunately I have a totally different undertone than you haha, I usually go for cool tones on my eyes (you also do sometimes) and muted and cool pinks/red/neutrals (on my base and lips) in my makeup. I feel like ND usually lean pretty warm in both eyeshadows and complexion products, and when she does cool its always pretty extreme like Xenon or very beight pink cheek products

I think it's because the back of my hand is much lighter than my un-made-up face! There was more contrast to my skin in the swatch.

I found a BABY Glam three-pan at TJMaxx for $20., a real splurge for me bc I'm religious about tossing old makeup. (Yes, I do mark every item with the date of first use/first opening.) This little treat is such a delight, I might actually hit pan before the safe date. I'm actually considering the fuller palette you played with here. My three exact colors can't be found in the larger 5- or 15-pan kits, but the mood they reflect is spot on. Cool, deep and luscious! And I've heard so much good about the concealer from others, I have to remind myself that having 6 open concealers in rotation to cuss at is already more than any one person needs. You are very persuasive about the eye colors. Thanks for the video!

Thank you for always putting so much thought into your every review, the way you describe different aspects of makeup is very refreshing and inspiring. As for ND beauty products, I have 3 midi pallets, a lipstick and a lipgloss. I have to say those are the best performing eyeshadows for oily eyelids I have found, and I tried many. Nothing ever stayed put on me for more than couple hours until I got ND Glam, it stayed on my eyes throughout summer wedding, no creasing, no fallout, colors as vibrant when I took my makeup off as the moment I applied them. In my opinion this is her best formula of shadows. Great performing mattes and foolproof metallics, perfect for day and night. I like my other two, Retro and Zendo, but I’m not fond of the cream to powder formula, not on my hooded, oily eyelids, now after the years of getting to know these formulas I much prefer my first choice, the Glam Palette. I can use every shade and be sure that my eye look will hold until I decide to wash it off. I wish she would release more in that format, I know everyone is getting bonkers over those super shiny, glittery shadows but they aren’t always appropriate, and I don’t like to walk around with glitter all over my face 😂 The lipstick and lipgloss are really good too, both in shade Natasha from My Dream Collection, actually I think Hannah, you might like that shade, it’s quiet cool toned nude, at least on me, and I’m fairly light, like first or second shade of all foundation light. Today I tried the new Givenchy Concealer in N95 and it unfortunately was way too yellow for me, actually N80 was also more yellow than I thought it would be, C105 would be ok but that was just too dark, I understand what you mean with needing less saturated base products, and that why I use mineral foundation, better mach, even to the point I found a concealer too light for me, I use Lily Lolo. So now I know that finding shade in ND concealer range might be difficult especially not having an opportunity to test in store. It’s a bummer that people at the both ends of the shade/color spectrum are usually left out. Nevertheless, I really appreciate your content, your thoughtfulness, and conscious decisions about consumerism. Thank you for sharing your beautiful self with us, much love from Poland ❤

Ohhhhhh this is the first time I've been attracted to the ND Soft Glam palette,,,it seemed like too much of the same thing to me, but as I am a One and Done queen, I will take a deeper look into it...I've been waiting for the right ND palette for me because I think her formula is amazing, and your dive into it today is making me shift...thank you, Hannah!

I've been trying to choose whether to get Natasha Denona's Glam or I Need a Nude palette. Now I'm definitely leaning towards Glam. Then I just need to purchase the Midnight Sun palette from the PML, and I'll be all set as far as eye makeup goes for a while. Thanks so much for the informative, thorough, lively and entertaining reviews. They are immensely helpful and relaxing/soothing at the same time:)

For those moving away from full coverage Glam, I have found a look that I love - fairly minimal complexion & face tints (tinted moisturizer, nearly invisible burn bronzing for warmth, a subtle sheer highlight on the cheek) + a simple lip of any type + full sparkle eyelid (not above! Above looks very glam, can be subbed with a bright matte or any high intensity lid) with strong liner looks surprisingly work/soccer/Kroger appropriate and keeps the fun of eyeshadow in your look without the many, many other steps. Full Glam does look cartoonish on me, but i gave up eyeshadow completely for years and do not care about the natural look trend, so I am keeping my Glam lids.

After judging Retro Glam to be too "of the moment" to be a good investment, and then getting very snarky about it to convince myself that I was fine, not sad at all that I don't have the money, it arrived in boxycharm today and I literally squealed. Since I only learned of ND upon receiving cupid one year ago, I blame this corner of beautytube lol... even if every complaint about retro Glam is true, it's still the prettiest color story I've ever seen. I was overwhelmed I just did a taupe look, it was just too much pretty...

I don't know if you can get your hands on it, or if you even like MAC, but mac lipstick in act natural is as close to a pink-grey pale-grunge, like a blanked out but still grungy that I could ever find for myself. Sadly, not available anymore since its mac but it is gorgeous...
