Hannah, you have the best intro on UA-cam - it never grates or seems disingenuous, it’s easy & charming, and it invites in and catches up new users. I’d keep yours.
I almost don't wear any makeup in my day to day life, have no real interest in this topic but can't skip any of Hannah's videos - I just love how she talks about anything. She is THE poet of beauty UA-cam and I'm saying it loud and clear with serious backing in form of my cultural/literary studies degree haha
"THE poet of beauty youtube..." absolutely right on! similarly, dont often wear make-up (esp in summer) but always appreciate and enjoy hannah's poetic, yet super technical and expert takes on all things fashion, beauty, and fun...🎉
I really love your welcoming intro, especially your slower one of “hey y’alllll …. Hiiiiiiiii!” Because it makes me feel like I’m meeting a friend for lunch that I have missed and she’s not in a hurry to leave 😊🥰
HLP, you have always followed your own style; that should apply to intros as well. Personally, I like your intro and for those who are tuning in to your rapidly growing channel, it’s very helpful to hear your mention of not promoting consumerism. Cheers, girl!
None of the influencers were referring to your introduction, Hannah. Everybody appreciates a warm welcome and encouragement. Thank you for quelling my urge to grab for the next shiny thing. I am always encouraged to look at what I have with new eyes.
I love your intro! Maybe I'm old but I don't think intros are over. Also the new makeup hot takes jingle is my favorite thing, sometimes I catch myself singing it randomly.
There are some already : opulent, bronze fountain, iron gate, chandelier... But I agree, if they went full on neutral they would attract a lot more people !
After grabbing myself last year's Clionadh palette for Christmas I'm on a six-month streak of not buying eyeshadow, it's incredible how much new releases have lost their "buy me" pull 😂 Thanks for your good influence and community Hannah!
I LOVE your intros! Don't eliminate them! They set your iconic-poetic-humourous-review-of-anything stage. "I want to want it so that I can want it" 🤣"the plastic thing all full of lip skin"😂
Dead Salmon really was the best choice for this wall. I catch myself thinking this sometimes, and I never told you ! I was waiting for the video to do my physio exercises, it”s proving to be a good companion so far !
I would love to see a video of you playing with your favs in your collection of desaturated/not-orange not-pink cheek products. i feel like it would be interesting to see you just sort of deep dive explore that, even tho you have a lot of cheek product content featured in many of your videos already. i just want to hear about bronzer as blush and the like!
Literally was here by sheer luck and was blessed with you and the song 🎧 New Makeup Hot takes lol. Which I love. Also I absolutely love your intro and outtro! Always do what feels good and authentic to you. Xoxoxox ❤
the rituel de fille is amazing. my favorite skin tint/foundation at age 45. matches my skin and undertone, doesn’t feel like anything on my skin. finally! it’s fantastic.
Hannah, have you ever tried any of Linda hallbergs makeup? I'd love to hear your thoughts! She's one of my favorite influencers and a lot of her products seem like they would really appeal to you because they have that grungy style.
I'm moving across the country tomorrow and I just had a serious decrease in my anxiety realizing that one thing that won't change in my life is the availability of your videos
Yeah, the jungle-safari themed color stories are really trending right now. Kinda nice change from the warm browns with a pop of( turquoise) blue Mediterrean color story that is usually released for Summer. Glad to see more creative takes on "neutrals" even tho none of these palettes interest me. Btw, if you'd like some neutral multichrome singles, I highly recommend checking out Terra Moons. When all those multichrome palettes were coming out last year, I was inspired to make my own multichrome companion palette from singles I purchased from Terra Moons since most of the pre made palettes had colors I would never use.
Terra Moons Hyperion is one of my all-time favorite shades. It's a gray-based multichrome that shifts from the coolest earthy pink to bronze to olive, all with a washed-out quality and a satin finish. It's offbeat and so special!
Honestly the first thing that made your channel different from everyone else’s to me is the fact that you don’t repeat your intro word for word each video (it begin becomes very noticeable when you binge watch someone’s channel) and I was like “hey, I like this. This is different” I wish intros seemed more genuine and welcoming like yours is. I love that it doesn’t sound like a script every time.
On the topics of intros, Alex Anele almost never has one, and someone once commented, “I feel like we’re her annoying friends she just kind of tolerates and I am here for it,” and I feel like that is a whole mood. Lol
I’m here to talk myself out of buying the Denona palette and the new Dior blush in rosewood. This ‘looking at the trend’ is going to do the trick. Thank you HLP.
I duped the vibes of the MD pallet and I LOVE it 🥰 And it cost me nothing. 6 months into my no buy and I’m not even … fussed 🤷♀️ I’ve continued to dupe the vibes all year and I’ve not been remotely tempted by new pallets. I have all the colours. All all the finishes. All the textures. And after your video where you mixed and layered your eyeshadow I’ve been doing the same to create new colours. Which, I’m ashamed to say as an artist, hasn’t occurred to me to do! New make up hot takes continues to keep me on track with my no buy 💪🏻
Your usual intro and sign out are what attracted me initially to your channel Hannah. A couple of years later I still wait for both as part of each video quirk routine.
I had your video yesterday up on the TV while cooking yesterday and my husband noticed all the cuts and transitions in your video…he was impressed! He was like, “wow that’s a lot of work into that video! But the edits look natural, it’s well done!” - just thought I’d pass the feedback along 😊
I'm an og stan of this channel. I literally watched your first episode the day/day after it came out and have kept watching throughout the years. I've so enjoyed watching the evolution of your channel, as you transitioned from yearly themes to video series like this one, and I look forward to what is to come. That being said; I don't follow you for your adherence to the trends. I follow you for your authenticity, including your intros. For me, the intros often end up being enjoyable, just as much as the "meat of the video" as you have said. It is an aspect of your presence here on UA-cam that has been consistent from the very beginning, and there's a comfort to that. They feel almost like a prelude to a novel, or maybe an authors note. A different way to tell the story, or a way to tell a different portion. Obviously at the end of the day your channel is your livelihood, and it needs to appeal to viewers. I will continue to watch and support your journey as your channel continues to evolve, intros or no intros, and I'm sure many others will agree with me. You have shifted the way I view the acquiring of new things, wants vs. needs, personal style, and so many other things, all by being your authentic self, intros and all. Thank you.
Keep your amazing intros! I can only speak for me personally but I don’t watch those other Influencers , I watch you for you, which includes fun long intros.
Thank you for all you do, Hannah! Your videos are truly like a breath of fresh air. I love your honest approach and that you always encourage mindful purchasing. I caved and ordered some of the new Dior blushes even though the last thing I need is more blush 😂
Keep doing the intros. Yours are always a pleasure to listen to because you are so uniquely you. Other UA-camrs tend to do more generic or scripted intros that I generally skip through. Likely why it seems the trend it is dying out. Don't be like them. Keep forging your own path.
I definitely need the Clionadh palette in my collection eventually. I have multichromes on my "to try" wishlist, and a palette form seems most approachable to me. 😊
Chanel rosy glow isn’t available yet in the US and I’m sooooooo frustrated! I am pretty sure now Canada has it so closer! I asked Chanel and couldn’t get a date. They only said “soon”. I’m guessing mid-June but who knows. I’m told it will release in the US and I’m also very excited!!!! ❤
Ok, you are a glowy...shiny spot in the universe right now! Your countenance, as always is breathtaking but the smile clearly exuding from your eyes gives me goosebumps. And your hair! The Grecian up do from a few videos ago and this beautiful pony...no words. Or a very few words...I can always find some, but you get it...❤
Can't wait for you to review the Dior bronzer! And honestly I'd love for you to pick up a selection of rituelle de fille products and review them. I see them as nuanced products that require a nuanced reviewer
I actually love your intros for what it’s worth. Also you look stunning… You always look great but your current aesthetic of lips/cheeks focus is really bringing out your natural beauty in a most refreshing way
I see a resemblance with the Yucca & Safari palettes to my Urban Decay mini in Foxy with the earthy olive and yellow greens with green toned beige and brown. UD Foxy skips the orange tones which I can’t wear. Beautiful soft take on some fresh neutrals. I usually wear it in the fall along with my khaki and cranberry tones. I’ll dupe the feel of the ND Yucca and the Nomad Safari palette with my UD Foxy. Save $! AND save space in my minimalist makeup collection.
Would you ever review the e.l.f monochromatic multi sticks? I have the color in peach which is very subtle but the best blush for me personally. I think your take on them would be interesting!
I like this kind of video from you. Going through your deciding process helps me to make my own decisions when I’m thinking about buying anything new! Thank you so much for those reviews/anti-hauls
I'm the warm version of your skin tone, a desaturated warm olive. Everything goes pink on me. I'll likely pick up the natasha denona palette, as I just had to bin a load of eyeshadows that had just gone past their use by.
Shade 105 is olive! I'm a fair olive, and it gets "more green" as it is rubbed/blended into the skin. For context, SNY Sneaky Balm in NC13 is a perfect match for my skin. Shade 105 is a damn good match on my skin.
Love your look today! These creamy shirts have also been working for you!! I think you suit some greens, like that khaki greyish type shirt you have, but I think that leans sort of - chic grungey neutral. With the colour/personality thing, I think it's so important. There are soooo many style systems (I have become a connoisseur of them lately) , the ones that tend to work out the best in the long run, are the ones that take personality into account - in a way that isn't " you have x so your personality is y" but rather "your personality is Y so you would probably do well with X even if that isn't typical of your features" Like if you are the sharpest lined human with the strongest features and colouring ever, but your personality, gait, voice and general vibe is soft and delicate like a baby bird in a meadow of daises, you will look off wearing extremely sharp lines and strong sharp colours exclusively. You could incorporate those style guides and they will work, but they need to take into account that soft baby bird energy you exude. if you focus on purely the physical of yourself, you lose what makes you fully you, and you dismiss your full beauty. You aren't just a photo of some shapes and lines with colours, you are a full human. It's like saying because Van Gogh paintings are bright and bubbly they belong in a children's playroom. It detracts from the torment, the beauty, the absurdity and wild rejection of 'rules' his art has. When green gets too earthy or too playful, that is when it doesn't work for you. You suit avantgarde grunge and chic refinement, if that makes sense? Sorry if it's weird to say. TLDR: I agree, and I spend too much time thinking about this to avoid my PHD work.
I appreciate your intros so much!!! I love knowing why you chose to develop a video and your behind the scenes thoughts. It’s refreshing compared to other beauty UA-camrs ❤
Great video, we're definitely on the same wavelength. The Rituel de Fille 3 Drop Potion is *the best* serum foundation I've ever used. Leaves skin hydrated, with a natural look and feel. Coverage can be adjusted from sheer to a solid medium. A little goes a long way. It's just brilliant.
Interesting view as always. Just to save a bit of your budget, I think the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow in Rosy Beige is more of a primer like the Tatcha... could be wrong for certain skin tones but that's how I've seen it reviewed.
So glad to hear you’re reviewing the Chanel cream thingy! You are the gal to do it, for sure. Also, I bet the TF cronchy lipstick would look lovely in low, warm light… but how often are we ever in that situation 😂
Haaannaaahhhhh!!! your intro is the perfect amuse bouche before we get into the MEAT of the video. please don't change it! it's so calming and centering before videos about new releases or trends, because inevitably there are products/styles that intrigue and merit discussion (or even coveting). Your intro calms the make up Gollum in my brain that thinks everything could be the precious.
Keep your intro!! Literally came across this video while I was letting youtube run while I was in the shower (ie not looking) and when I heard your intro and was like "ooo it's Hannah!"
That rituel de fille foundation is the first complexion product to tempt me in a long time! I strangely have a love for that brand without ever owning any of their products, however this one is quite tempting
Thanks so much Hannah i too love the idea of expanding on the idea of summer only being for light bright pastels, I just myself also associates summer with neutrals and a hint of whatever colour suites I think what your wearing plays a huge part too xo
I love your intros, your whole esthetic, and I would listen to you on repeat if for no other reason than your impeccable use of language. Your prepositions don't dangle! You use the subjunctive! My English major, sentence-graphing nerd just laps up the wonderful descriptives.
Hannah, you have the best intro on UA-cam - it never grates or seems disingenuous, it’s easy & charming, and it invites in and catches up new users. I’d keep yours.
~*new makeup, hot takes. new makeup, hot takes*~
what goes on in my head any time i see these videos
An infectious beat that is the song of the summer.
I sometimes remember Hannah saying this in my head as I go about my day he he
I almost don't wear any makeup in my day to day life, have no real interest in this topic but can't skip any of Hannah's videos - I just love how she talks about anything. She is THE poet of beauty UA-cam and I'm saying it loud and clear with serious backing in form of my cultural/literary studies degree haha

Give it a few months. The no-intro trend will give way to intros again-the cyclical nature of history is just sped up on the internet. 😆
Dude, I’d love it if Clionadh did a neutral release. I’d buy so many.
I just got viridian from their deep iridescent line and it is a lot more neutral than I thought.
There are some already : opulent, bronze fountain, iron gate, chandelier... But I agree, if they went full on neutral they would attract a lot more people !
A glam neutrals collection would be 🔥. I couldn’t add to cart fast enough
I love your intros. I feel it goes with your "brand" HLP elegant wisdom
New makeup hot takes on a saturday morning is always a mood 😌
Ooo I hope you do a overhead singles video of your interpretation of the eyeshadow trends 🧡
To "have the scales fall from my eyes" by actually touching and seeing at the store - yes!! That breaks the spell almost always.
After grabbing myself last year's Clionadh palette for Christmas I'm on a six-month streak of not buying eyeshadow, it's incredible how much new releases have lost their "buy me" pull 😂
Thanks for your good influence and community Hannah!
Yes! As soon as I saw that Chanel release I thought of you. An old gum bronzer 😊
I LOVE your intros! Don't eliminate them! They set your iconic-poetic-humourous-review-of-anything stage. "I want to want it so that I can want it" 🤣"the plastic thing all full of lip skin"😂
I just gotta say I love your intros.
Dead Salmon really was the best choice for this wall. I catch myself thinking this sometimes, and I never told you !

The new Odenseye Palettes also fit into the grungy neutral summer theme 😎 always excited when I see a new HLP Video!

NoooooI love the intro before the meat!! And Hi Hannah..have a great weekend..hugs Lindy.
I got SOOOOO scared you were rejecting the new make up hot takes jingle we all love so much! Phewwwww! False alarm!
You’re ridiculously enjoyable - my cheeks hurt watching this. You’re so funny/adorable yet very quick and dry and….it’s delightful. ❤

You look super beautiful and I’m very into this futuristic, newfangled version of moving to the side
"Unflattering azalea" is the perfect term to describe that colour-changing pink! 😂 Using that from now on

Your looks recently have just been impeccable. Always pumped for a new makeup releases hot takes!

Do it your way! Love your opinions and philosophy on style.
I feel like you would love the new odens eye jewels n gem palette it’s very cool toned silver blue and a lot of one and done looks
The song is everything
This look! Storybook princess with a genius approach to new makeup. ❤
Your usual intro and sign out are what attracted me initially to your channel Hannah. A couple of years later I still wait for both as part of each video quirk routine.
I am SO into the grungy greens and cool tones in the makeup palettes!! Suits my aesthetic and colouring (neutral olive) really well
But I love your intros Hannah! They are the best intros I’ve ever heard. Genuine, always varied and delivered as the pro you are.
I love your intros!!
I had your video yesterday up on the TV while cooking yesterday and my husband noticed all the cuts and transitions in your video…he was impressed! He was like, “wow that’s a lot of work into that video! But the edits look natural, it’s well done!” - just thought I’d pass the feedback along 😊

Haven't even pressed play but I NEED this!!! Cosmos and yucca have me salivating. Pretty close to pulling the trigger!
HELP ME HANNAH!!!!!
I definitely need the Clionadh palette in my collection eventually. I have multichromes on my "to try" wishlist, and a palette form seems most approachable to me. 😊

Yes, it is in Canada. At least, I am seeing the travel size here.
Ok, you are a glowy...shiny spot in the universe right now! Your countenance, as always is breathtaking but the smile clearly exuding from your eyes gives me goosebumps. And your hair! The Grecian up do from a few videos ago and this beautiful pony...no words. Or a very few words...I can always find some, but you get it...❤
So exciting on a Saturday morning - waking up to this!
I love youre hot takes. To hear you reason and make me see beyond the companies marketing and to ponder if its a fantasy really helps.
I love the LH, and ABH palettes, and I want to mix them with the ND palette in a duping the vibes palette and series of looks on myself!
I'd love to see you do some vibe dupes of some of these eye shadow palettes. Could totally see you reviewing the Linda Hallberg palette. :D
Love starting my morning with a chai tea latte and HLP! ❤❤❤
I so agree about the eyeshadow trend! The pop of acid yellow/green is extending into other palettes beyond the desert inspired shades too.
I love hearing your thoughts on these. It helps me put things in perspective.
I love grungy greens, it's what i wore all last fall and spring. The ND palette really called me. It's the first new release i picked up this year.
Thank-you! We really need your honesty on youtube!!!
Can't wait for you to review the Dior bronzer! And honestly I'd love for you to pick up a selection of rituelle de fille products and review them. I see them as nuanced products that require a nuanced reviewer
Thé Chanel is a face base to wear under fondation / on It’s own. As of now it only launched in France / Europe. Would love to see. Review of it too !!
I actually love your intros for what it’s worth. Also you look stunning… You always look great but your current aesthetic of lips/cheeks focus is really bringing out your natural beauty in a most refreshing way
your intro is reliable and iconic !!!
I'd love to see you try one of the UOMA shiny lipsticks :)
Omg yess Hannah would look amazing in uoma’s Sexual Chocolate 👍
Thank you so much for those reviews/anti-hauls
the rituel de fille foundation is my holy grail. it's incredible. it's so lightweight but also really good coverage.
Can I ask what your skin type is?
@@ninathomson1735 fairly oily and dehydrated
Your intros are already short, sharp and shiny compared to other UA-camrs so I think you are actually ahead of the ‘no intro’ trend
I love your regular intros. Don’t change! Your so unique and articulate. Please don’t stop being you 😊
I'm the warm version of your skin tone, a desaturated warm olive. Everything goes pink on me. I'll likely pick up the natasha denona palette, as I just had to bin a load of eyeshadows that had just gone past their use by.
Excited to see the cream bronzer review video

That new Chanel shade, I’m going to be anxiously awaiting your review!
I appreciate your intros so much!!! I love knowing why you chose to develop a video and your behind the scenes thoughts. It’s refreshing compared to other beauty UA-camrs ❤
can't wait for the Chanel cream thing please let us know where to buy
Great video, we're definitely on the same wavelength.
The Rituel de Fille 3 Drop Potion is *the best* serum foundation I've ever used. Leaves skin hydrated, with a natural look and feel. Coverage can be adjusted from sheer to a solid medium. A little goes a long way. It's just brilliant.
Excited to see your hot take on MAC’s Lip Squirt!!!!!
Please review the bakeup pallettes Hannah!
Yay! Another HLP Hot take! Thank you Hannah!
Great video!! I would love it if you reviewed some of rare beauty and byredo makeup lines 😊😊
Keep your intro!! Literally came across this video while I was letting youtube run while I was in the shower (ie not looking) and when I heard your intro and was like "ooo it's Hannah!"
love your intros, love your thesies, love your presentations. no need to scale back on what is already lacking on the internet. 💚💚💚
It's interesting that the new Odens Eye palettes are both the grungy greens and cool tone neutrals. Finger on the pulse much Hannah 😍
That rituel de fille foundation is the first complexion product to tempt me in a long time! I strangely have a love for that brand without ever owning any of their products, however this one is quite tempting
They sell decent samples. Then a coupon for $10 off.
Thanks so much Hannah i too love the idea of expanding on the idea of summer only being for light bright pastels, I just myself also associates summer with neutrals and a hint of whatever colour suites I think what your wearing plays a huge part too xo
I don't know why everyone wants to delete the intro in the videos, but I love your intro! and also your final part
👍🏻your outro words always lift me up
The chanel reminds me of the Jones Road balms.
If that Tom Ford lip oil packaging was a bed side table, I would so want it. ❤
I love your intros, your whole esthetic, and I would listen to you on repeat if for no other reason than your impeccable use of language. Your prepositions don't dangle! You use the subjunctive! My English major, sentence-graphing nerd just laps up the wonderful descriptives.
