My cinematic test film showcasing the strengths and potential of the telephoto zoom lens of the Mavic 3. Inorder to fully demonstrate the parallax ability of the Mavic 3, I chose the tallest standing structure in the city of San Antonio as my subject, the Tower of the Americas, which stands 622ft to the roof, 750ft to the antenna spire. The perspective achieved when filming the Tower at 162mm focal length from the air is unparalleled.
Current firmware does not allow manual settings or flat color profiles for the Telephoto zoom lens which makes it challenging to test dynamic range. Stay tuned for more work once updated firmware becomes released.
All scenes from the film comply with Part 107 FAA rules and regulations.

Finally, telephoto usage in the right hands. Very nice and quite entertaining.
I've been waiting for a video like this with that long lens.... You're the first to make an epic beautiful one! Thank youuuuu! So goood
Awesome sound effects!!
I went into this thinking “okay let’s give it 10 seconds” and 3 minutes later I was like - Ok holy shit that was captivating!- great video
Wow! Super cool!!
Outstanding! 👍🏾
I really like it! Good job 👍
This is definitely underrated!!!!
Super Beautiful!!! You did one amazing job!
I love this video !!
Incredible brother...
The audio when the plane went behind the tower 🔥🔥🔥, great video!
Fantastic!
Jaw dropping footage. As usual!!!
Great sound design
Nice!
Remarkable!
quite simply .. superb
Now this is a work of art. Amazing work
🔥🔥🔥 That dolly zoom gives it another dimension. Great work!
Well done, Jonathan. Very beautiful video - Dope!
Awesome.
Amazing ... really welldone!
Pretty Cool... The Landry's restaurant up there is pretty good also..
Well done Jonathan - like always!
Awesome cinematic footage 👍
Amazing as always bro!
Amazing video and really smooth flying. Makes me want to return downtown to fly it again with my Evo 2 Pro drone...
Star Destroyer in the background at 1:16
Nicely done
nice video😀liked & subscribed, thanks for sharing ✌
the quality is great (still looks like an 1080p from 2010) BUT is good enough. I wonder how TOPAZ soft have you used ?
Very nice, clever and impressive job (and soundesign... the airplane muted "through" the tower, man) ! Any ongoing making of by chance ? I'd be really interested in knowing how hard it is to fly (pretty fast I guess) and deal with the focal length...
great use of the equipment and composition did you assign control changes to the sticks I find mine springs back to central position hard even after adjusting
sticks are overly sensitive on the mavic 3.......I changed the expo settings in RC controls which helped somewhat
Some wicked footage bud!
I really hope to get the Mavic 3 at some point. I’ll have to remain content with my Air 2 for the minute.
Question - when u say ND4 + ND 16, do you mean u had the 2 filters stacked? Or that these were what you used separately in different shots?
Only asking as I didn’t know u could stack filters, & if so, how?
Cheers anyway mate. Subbed so looking forward to seeing more footage after January when all the functions that things capable of becomes available!
For different shots yes
The video is beautiful but the softness would limit me from using this on a lot of our projects. How do you like this over the Inspire 2?
For shooting raw or night time aerials, Inspire 2. For everything else, I'd go for the M3 as its significantly more stable than the I2 for anything long lens
San Antonio
Did you add the sound affects to the flag and the airplane ✈️ what was that natural and you needed the rest of the actual sounds?
All the sound fx you hear was added in post
Okay
Let's work together!
Are you sure this wasn't taken on a helicopter!?
To much jiddering but otherwise it was a good job.
Telephoto lens quality is very bad..
