It was a beautiful Wednesday so shortly after Josh filled his turkey tag, we decided to head out to Fort Spokane for some bass and walleye action. The fishing was slow as always, but the fish we landed were definitely good size! We missed the morning bite which is usually the best for us, so we struggled to say the least.

2 Peter 3:8-9 (NIV)
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

thanks for the tips! went there this weekend and caught my pb smallie! 100 percent agree with the morning bite that was my experience as well. evening for trout as the sun goes down.
Going here soon. Thanks for sharing.
Great vid! I haven't fished there in years, we used to fish the other side of the road on the little point south of the swimming area. we would hit the mud line hard and drag lindy rigs up the bank. We would usually hit a few wallys then get a few small mouth that seem to trail behind the walleye cleaning up. Normally it was good mid morning and then again late evening. It was always best with a little wind or chop to get a mud line going, the fish seemed to be right on the edge of that. A good thing to do is scout out the area in the winter when the water is low, you can walk the areas you fish when the water is super low and see the structure you are fishing come spring time.... and maybe find some lures ha ha, tight lines!
Much, much respect to my bank fishing brothers. Love your videos keep them coming. Keep having fun outdoors Samong!
Hi I just moved to Spokane, is this spot close to the Lake Roosevelt Recreation Area? I am looking for good bass lakes to fish but I know many lakes in Eastern WA are private or have limited bank access so any tips would be super helpful. Thanks
Great video, I enjoyed watching it. I miss fishing. I have weird hours at work which prevent me from spending time at the lake. I bought a new fishing pole the other day so I'm eager to break it in on lake fishing.
Great Job! I'm from just across the river! I know some good walleye holes further up river.. Great videos!
Yeah, we're still new to the whole walleye thing so just catching one already makes us happy haha. Slowly learning spots, baits and lures, and techniques to catch them!
Excellent video! Keep the scene groovy!
What month was this filmed?
Do you know any good burbot fishing spot around?
I’ll be there this weekend. I haven’t made it up there in 2 years. My father in law has a place in seven bays. Just around the corner from where you were at.
I always buy cheap rods and reels. That way when they get broke I don’t care. Plus everyone that I know that has expensive rods always seem to be broken.
I love bass fishing.
Hey man im from Alabama and now living in Spokane ive watched your videos at fort spokane and i was woundering if you had directions to where to catch smallmouth bass
Porcupine bay is a great spot right there by fort Spokane
Can't wait to go do some fishing as well. Great video! Keep them up.

Great video Samong, amaizing fishing tutorial, thanks for doing that for fishermen community. Keep in the hard work and leave a legacy.
On the other hand thanks a lot for your advises and coaching to myself last weekend at Sprague Lake, that was awesome.
A question for you would be what type of line do i need to use for fishing Bass? what would you recoment to me?
Thanks and I hope to meet you again!!
PD.Excuse any typo, still working in my english
Great to see you on here, Luis! Always a blessing to be able to help out other fishermen at the lake.
When it comes to bass fishing, different styles of fishing will ideally require different types of line. The only two I use are braid and fluorocarbon for bass fishing.
I use Braid for topwater fishing like frogs, whopper ploppers, and others and also use braid when fishing heavy cover (punching).
However, I recommend fluorocarbon. You can do almost anything with it when it comes to bass fishing. 15-17 pound fluorocarbon is what I use the most. I was using 16-pound fluorocarbon when we met at the lake!
Nice video, looks like a pretty area. I'm new to Spokane and trying to find some good fishing spots. I like lakes and rivers but I want to keep and eat the fish (I read that Spokane river fish should not be eaten..?). Any recommendations?
Fort Spokane is the Columbia not the Spokane just a heads up but yes don't eat fish from the Spokane River
Man I’m worried that you’re going break an ankle or something when walking over largo rocks like I’ve seen ya do. Take care and thanks
for another good show 👍
Can you give me a address of that place
Nice catch guys!
Love your videos. I'm gonna fish at silver lake in Washington tomorrow. Do you know where I can fish from the bank to catch trout or something. The lake near Longview
Thank you, Randy! I really wish I can help, but I've never fished that lake before so I don't know anything.
Ok thanks.
Well I picked up a couple crappie. Need a boat for that lake. Not much bank access.
