    I don’t want to be negative because anything that give the sport a help is worth it. I feel like €770 is probably about €500 too much for me. Even at €250-€300 I might take a while to come around to it.

    I think just a hand manual thrower would be just as much fun ans practice as that expensive thing. Just not really seeing that as replacing other kinds of throwers.

    I thought this would create targets more like Helice shooting ... But this is more stable and slower. Would be much better if this could replicate the unpredictable flights of Helice targets but for the price, a Manual thrower would afford you far more targets, and thus, practice. Almost a great product, that's simply decent.

    • @nordicclays
      @nordicclays Рік тому +1

      Hi Projectgothamgtr,
      They do indeed create unpredictable targets and very realistic targets.
      It is a target you have to experience in person to see the flight pattern, the more wind there is the more unpredictable they become.
      Best regards
      Andreas, Nordic Clays.

    • @projectgothamgtr
      @projectgothamgtr Рік тому

      @@nordicclays interesting! In the video it is very hard to see most of the flight paths but they seemed to just go straight from what i could see here. Again very cool concept, but it didn't look like there was much variation.
      Maybe it's the way/angle they launch from the gun or the speed they spin in this video that makes them predictable? I would think you could make different blade configurations for the targets so they veer more unpredictably after initial launch.
      Again very cool idea, I want to see more videos on this!

    Thanks for the review, although you missed out some important info. What are the discs made of ? They looked like plastic, if so they are not environmentally friendly and against all that shooting is trying to do. They do not give that satisfying hit you get shooting clays and see fragments flying everywhere. Also how much do the discs cost ? Much better to buy a S/H double seat trap for £250--£350 and clays for 10p than this gimmicky device.

    10mins, bored to tears... Drive to the clay ground.
    I have no doubt the American market will love it, especially as they have the space. The temptation for some prat to launch this in his garden and start firing 12g in a cul-de-sac is far too obvious. It will happen and then us certificate holders will be under more scrutiny

  • @joecotter9014
    @joecotter9014 Рік тому +3

    Clays come out too fast when released close by, you would need to stand quite a distance away from one another to give yourself a chance of seeing and hitting them, need to be able to fire singles rather than pairs for a bit of variety. In its current guise I'd get bored of it after a couple of goes.

    • @nordicclays
      @nordicclays Рік тому

      Hi Joe,
      The clays are launched at 60 km/h / 37 mph (adjustable speed).
      It is indeed possible to launch both singles and pairs/doubles.
      They are quite easy to see when you're there in person, but it has always been hard to capture the clay shooting sport on camera.
      Have a nice day.
      Best regards
      Andreas, Nordic Clays.

    No way is that noisey piece of gimmick the future of clays , how much for replacement clays ?

  • @KnottingleyGuns
    @KnottingleyGuns Рік тому

    From what I understand the price is the main factor.
    The machine is portable and will fire out up to 300 doubles.
    The clays are made from potatoe starch so dissolve in the ground but at £44 for 200 is a bit steep when a box of 150 CCI is £15 … that’s a bit of a difference.
    Normal Clay machines and a 12v battery certainly aren’t as portable but you can buy a pretty big one for £600 which is the cost of the Trap Master alone.
    I’m not convinced that the shooters can’t have a challenging simulation when the holder of the trap master can literally stand or point it in any direction and it has 9 speeds.
    Might be a case of wait for the Trapmaster & Clays to come down in price before customers spend their hard earned money ….
    I do believe they have there place in field sports and great for a day out on a permission with permission to use it.

Also 5-600 for this thing that annoying to listen to, doesn't launch targets when called for, and the targets don't replicate the flight pattern of any sober bird that I know of. This was a bust form the start. Good luck though.

  • @bruin1980

    The cost of the Trap Master and its "clays" is too high for ready adoption by the masses, but the idea is sound. I am in the US and have been looking for a way simulate walked-up flushing quail for introductory classes I teach. This sort of device would be easy to conceal in the ground cover we have here. With a wireless remote control and a stand, it would be perfect.
    If the purchaser could print "clays" at home on a 3D printer, all sorts of possibilities open up. Might not even need a printer, depending on how the "clays" attach to Trap Master. All sorts of materials could be used.
