- In this video we compare the Springfield 1911 Mil Spec, the Remington R1 and the Ruger SR1911. Which one is the best fit for you? We start with an unboxing and then do a step-by-step comparison of the 3 1911s. Enjoy!
A number of years ago, when I checked out these 3 at my local Gun Shop, I went for the RUGER SR1911 Commander simply for the extra features: the beaver tail grip safety, the bobbed hammer, the skeletonized trigger and the Novak sights. The other 2 had none of those. When I looked at the Remington, the price tag was over a thousand bucks and I picked up my Ruger for $899.00. Anything from Springfield Armory also will get you over the thousand dollar mark. Neither the Springfield nor the Remington gave me anything over and above the Ruger that would justify the price point. Besides which, the Ruger felt better in my hand and I subsequently found that it shoots extremely well right out of the box.
..and no trigger bite with the Ruger
The Springfield is missing features for the obvious reason of the name it was given, it also isn't well over a thousand as I bought mine for $700, way cheaper than the Ruger is...
That is about what I paid for my SR1911 Commander as well.
Picked up my Ruger brand new for $550 years ago only complaint I have is that I didn’t buy two
Greatly appreciate you jumping right into the review without the typical 2-4 minutes of BS found on other reviews. Concise, to the point...awesome review.
You overlooked Ruger's use of a titanium firing pin with accompanying higher spring pressure to make the series 70 model more " drop proof".
I have a SR1911 5 inch barrel and I love it. It's trigger pull is awesome
My R1s came in a green hard case. I own both the R1s and Mil-spec Springfield, the later not in stainless though. Both have perform great. I haven't had any malfunctions from either. The wife owns a Ruger 1911 in 9mm with a 4.25" barrel. Having all three in my home I can say that you can't go wrong with any of them. All are solid, comfortable, and accurate. Great review.
I love my R1 too
have you tried to load hollow points in your Mil-Spec? I inherited a Mil-Spec from my father when he passed and the only way it will feed hollow points is if the magazine only has 6 rounds in it. Anything over that and the first round will not chamber and will jam. From what I've found on various forums I either need to shoot a few hundred rounds of FMJ through it or just get better magazines. I have this problem with both mags that came with it and an additional Kimber my dad bought afterwards.
I prefer Springfield, followed by SR1911 and the R1. Series 70 first.
One of the better reviews. Crisp and to the point, no lulls in your speech pattern. Good job.
Hey thanks for the feedback - I really appreciate it!
It must suck to not like music. Also to be so judgmental for standard mans man banter. I bet you were the nerd in school that got his ass beat daily.

Now it doesn't make sense.
Who died and made you King Paladin Six may I ask?!

I have the R1 for which I paid $499 when it was on sale (blued). I'm definitely satisfied with it. Wanted a 1911 without spending a fortune for one with super tight tolerances and what not. I'll just use it for plinking around so my focus was on reliability and durabilty, not hair splitting accuracy.
LOVE my Remington 1911 R1!!! Just bought it 4 weeks ago!!
How has it held up Deb?!
I just brought the ruger and I'm extremely happy with it..its very accurate and the fit and finish is not bad for $600
Were did you get the ruger for $600? Did you get it brand new or used?
where did you find one that cheap? I been wanting one but they are all 799 and up.
moey nolala this is my favorite too. It is accurate.
Robert Leath they raised in price they are 800+ now
Strongly leaning towards the Ruger but the Springfield definitely made and positive impression...
Trust me! Get the RUGER!!
I bought a Remmington R1s about 8 years ago, it came in a molded case then.
I have cycled it over 1000 times and have had zero malfunctions.
I polished the slide and lower to a chrome-like finish, and had the lettering inlaid with gold. White MOP grips.
Great video! I'll be picking up my Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec from the gun shop in the next ten days. Can't wait!👍🏾
I can vouch for the quality of the Ruger SR1911.
I have a lot of rounds through a standard 5 inch model, somewhere around 1000. It's holding up great with little signs of wear other than some scratches on the slide from this time I fell and got sand in my holster.
The gun goes bang every time for the most part, but my particular pistol does not play nice with Ruger's 8 round magazine.
It will fail to feed the last round out of it about 5% of the time.
With the 7 shot mags, it has never jammed as far as I can remember.
I have only tested Ruger's 7 and 8 round factory magazines in the firearm.
One more thing: mine will not feed Hornay XTPs or other cone-shaped hollow points. It will feed round profile hollow points like Remington Golden Sabre, Federal HST or Winchester WB JHP perfectly.
I liked your crisp presentation! Clean, easy to listen to and the comparisons were thorough. I haven’t fired my Para Ord. 1911 .45 yet, looking forward to it. After watching this video, I am very pleased with the Para Ordinance that I have.
Thank you!
I have waited 20 years to buy my first 1911. Your video was extremely helpful in determining the minute differences between brands.
I'm really glad this video helped! Enjoy your long awaited 1911 and thanks for watching!
Springfield 1911🇺🇸
The Mag release is perfect for left handed :) , I love it ...
Imported
Ruger 1911 🇺🇸
Bought myself one on my 21st birthday best purchase hands down
All the way
I love my Ruger SR1911Ss, but I also have a Remington 1911R1S that I love. One big difference between the two 1911s is that the Ruger has a larger safety than the Remington which I like because it makes it easier to disengage when drawing. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with the safety on the Remington, it's just smaller and doesn't seem as easy to disengage. Another difference is in the striations where you grip to rack the slide. On the Ruger they are wider and deeper than on the Remington. I think the Ruger gives a better gripping surface than the Remington.
Overall, you gave a good comparison of the three pistols. Thanks.
I have the Remington R1S. I've not measured the trigger pull but it seems to be less than 5 lbs. It is without question the best trigger I have ever pulled, very light and crisp. No combat hammer or ported trigger, It looks like a 1911. I've tried to think of any way to make the pistol better but it does everything perfectly so I'm leaving it as it....
I agree!!! Really bugs me this guy trys to downplay the added saftey measure...like it's a bad thing? No. Go drop your Springfield and stand over it, tell me how that goes
I have Remington R1S, love it, best 1911 here. 100% American made, great trigger.
I bought the R1. love it ... smooth all the way... carry it every were I go... bought 4 10rd McCormick magazines... 👍
Ruger SR1911 all the way!!
Oh man, that Springfield Armory Target Model is what I need :-)
Pouring molten material into a mold is casting.
Pounding highly heated metal is forging.
Machining is done to either after the fact.
You are correct. In addition, solid bar stock or plate can be also machined into parts, skipping a casting or forging process altogether. Unfortunately, several things were said that are not accurate regarding construction.
@@G53X0Y0Z0 You completely miss the point! "Bar Stock, or Plate" has to be made first, which means it TOO is either cast, or forged!!! You are creating a word salad with semantics. So ALL firearms are either cast, or forged.
Forging the shape and using machined barstock is not even close to the same thing . But to call a casting forged is hilarious
@@scotty362100 - as Nick alluded to, you are not correct. I said what I did before because it's important not to throw everything into either cast or forged categories, because there are significant differences in characteristics qualities between cast, forged, extruded, and rolled metal. If anyone made a "word salad" as you claim, it was you.
There is such a thing as cast plate, but it is not used to machine firearms from, it's generally used because of it's stable nature, but it's not especially strong. Plate and bar stock is formed mainly by rolling or extruding.
The internet is full of people who are quick to throw their inadequate understanding out there as facts, and unfortunately the cycle of ignorance is perpetuated.
when do you add the rust?
I have the Springfield and it can split a knats ass at 15 yards, its a real tac driver. Excellent video by the way!
For the pice point the Colt would also be an option. I actually looked at all 3 plus the Colt 6 months ago and decided on the Colt. The fit and finish and just the general feel of the Colt made me go with it. The 2nd choice would have been the Springfield, I guess for me the forged frames make a difference.
I have the Commander's SR1911 and it has served me very well.
I'm empressed. An all out over the top review. My Springfield is soon to be released from layaway. I subscribed.
Remington R1 or R1 enhanced all the way. I have both are ones and they both came in hard green plastic Remington cases
The ones made in Ilion NY, are a better quality then the ones made in Huntsville Alabama, so i have read.
I bought an R1 years back. It was a jam-o-matic. I sold it. Got a Ruger and it has functioned flawlessly. No experience with the Springfield.
I have both the ruger and Springfield. Springfield is tight.
Ill take the springer
That sr1911 cmdr looks saweet and its probably built like a tank too being a ruger
Just got the Ruger 1911 45acp myself and I love it.. Its accurate and shoots great. I have 3 9mms and it outshoots all of them..No feed failures and recoil is tame considering its a 45. My son enjoys this handgun more than the rest also...
Nice over view. I have an old Colt, S&W, RIA, Remington and now the Ruger. Without a doubt the best value for the money was the RIA and the Ruger. Both with adjustable sights. All of these shoot well....
We got the Ruger 1911 and could not be happier. Out of the Box Accurate and no jams with 4 different ammo brands and bullet grains. My 16 yr old son loves it, it outshoots all the other Semi Auto Pistols
I own both the Ruger and Springfield. I have to give the edge to Ruger. The Springfield's slide is a little loose. The Ruger is tight as a drum (especially for the money) and the slide is buttery smooth - Reminds me most of a Sig Sauer 1911 Stainless, which is the best (IMO) sub $1,500 1911. But...can't go wrong with any of the three.
I'll leave 1911s to Colt and buy HK when I want something German. A SIG 1911 is like a Mustang with a BMW engine.
Those Ruger grips our gorgeous!
Yes, those Ruger grips ARE gorgeous.
My SR1911 is phenomenal both esthetically and functionally. Very accurate. Only 2 misfeeds out of the first 250 rnds I shot out of it
The ruger honestly seems really well optioned out for the price. I’ve looked at one at a local gun store and they seem very tight so I’m not sure if they wear in after a while or not.
I have the SR1911 and I freaking love it
Darien Falks I'm going to try and get it next month. I saw it at dicks sporting goods 2 weeks ago and i loved it
Same here with my full size one.
I just bought mine today (the full-size model) after comparing it to the Remington and the Magnum Research models. Was originally leaning towards the Magnum Research Desert Eagle DE1911 because of the lower price, but the problem was I couldn't find any stores that stocked it so I could check out how it feels. They would only special order it with the obligation to buy. So I went with the Ruger and I'm glad I did.
i agree ...
Same for me. I went for the target model and boy is it nice.
I own the Springfield and really like it. Got if for a great price and it has very good fit and finish. They had a rebate for 4 extra mags and a holster and mag holster at the time so I could not pass it up.
I am looking for a SR1911 CMD and will probably buy one after Christmas.
Great job Ruger clear winner here. Thanks God bless
The ruger sr1911commander with the 4 inch barrel is a sweet piece! Would love to own one.
One goof is you show the Springfield Operator again for the R1 Enhanced - other than that great review and answered a lot of questions I had between the brands. Thanks and sub'd!
slidetek haha you're right! I just went back and watched it. I grabbed the wrong screenshot. Never caught that till you pointed it out. Thanks for watching and for subbing!
I have the r1, had it for years absolutely love it
I love em all. I own a Kimber and a Springfield. Both of which have performed flawlessly for me but I'd love to add a Ruger to my collection.
I also have the Ruger SR1911. Love the way it performs. I was in love with my Glock 19 until I started shooting my Ruger 45 SR 1911. I love this pistol. I really miss not shooting it due to the virus epidemic.
You guys dont have a range open?
MarksmanTV, talk about a over the top, detailed review. Well thought out comparison between the three 1911s. If I had to make a choice, I'd go for the Ruger. Besides taking it to the range, I would have no problem carrying the SR1911 compact as a concealed carry/night stand gun. BTW, you certainly deserve my subscription. Looking forward to checking out more of your reviews.
This was an awesome comparison.
I enjoyed the no-nonsense to-the-point descriptions. Thank You!
I own the R1. It is plenty accurate. Mine came with a match grade barrel and barrel nut. There is a tiny bit of stacking in the trigger but over a very short area because the pull is short. I can knock down all the plates with it. Having compared it to the SR1955, the Remington has a tighter action. The Ruger has some play when you jiggle it.
The gun I just picked up that is worthy of note is the Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911. That one is outstanding. My favorite pistol.
Good overall comparison. I grew up in a machinist household (was running a lathe at 8 years old) and I have to take exception with some of your descriptions on how the frames become frames. "Forging" is not a synonym for "machining from barstock". Something forged is a block of metal that is heated hot enough to be somewhat plastic, then slammed in a huge press to the rough shape of the finished product, which is then finish machined. It's greatest benefit is rearranging the grain structure, giving it added strength.
Ruger, on the other hand, does not just "cast" their stainless steel, but "investment casts" it's gun parts, a much more involved process that Ruger pioneered in the '60s with the Security Six revolver, I believe.
Both methods start out rough and end up with tight tolerances. Both processes offer way more strength and rigidity than the application calls for. Intentional or not, I got the impression from your narration that somehow the Springfield was superior to the Ruger because it is forged, which is not the case.
What surprised me in the video was that you stated the Remington slide is machined from "carbon steel"? So a gun that is marketed as stainless is, indeed, only half-stainless (frame)? Don't leave it on your boat!
I would have to go with the others here loving the Ruger 1911, bought one and couldn't believe how awesome it shot and grouped ! My brother was amazed, he went with a Ruger Commander after seeing and firing mine. We are both completely satisfied and thrilled with our purchases. They also stuck with the model 70 series style, with has always had a better trigger that the 80 series. Ruger was smart enough to have NOT added 80 series stuff to satisfy the idjuts. Great job RUGER ! MANY upgraded parts are included on the Ruger for an unreal price, get one, you will NOT regret it !
I bought the R1 Enhanced several years ago mainly because of the mystique of a full sized .45 acp. I don't shoot as well with it as I do other pistols. Not sure why but I guess I need to make friends with it more. The positive comments are all encouraging that I'll be able to do that.
Awesome comparison video. Loved how you really went in depth with the triggers and took them apart and showed the differences. Has definitely helped sway my purchasing decision!
The R1 is the best looking one, I’m saving up for one now actually
Same
Hows it coming? I want a Springfield myself.
@@598bryce.. the only thing I can't overcome about the Springfield is several I've looked at are made in Brazil and the Remington is All American made..
Johnny Earl 2 Every Springfield 1911 is US made now and Remington is junk even though it’s US made, couldn’t give me anything Remington now days aside from a Remington 700.
@@magobtrigeb6318.. the American Springfields are nice but I have yet to see a bad review on the Remington.
I would also had that Springfield does have a bad track record in regard to supporting the Second Amendment.
Dont have any experience with the Ruger but I have with the Springfield and the Remington. I do have to say I thought I would like the Springfield the best but after shooting both the Remington seems better.
Forging under pressure compresses the metal resulting in smaller grain size which results in a stronger material. Casting is a liquid metal which results in larger grains and a weaker material as compare to forged material. Since I keep my guns forever, I will pay extra for a forged frame versus cheaper cast frame.
Forging also manipulates the molecules into directional "grain" for strength. Casting leaves the molecules scattered, random and comparably brittle.
@@donavonrobbins1908 Doesn't mater it will outlast you no mater what! lol
I have a stainless R1 enhanced that I bought shortly after they first came out. Never had a single malfunction of any kind with it.
This was a very good video, and informative. I personally have SR 1911 Talo addition commander.
felt like a match the moment i picked it up.
Great review! Thx! Definitely leaning towards the Springfield.
I have one. It's sweet
I agree with many here. Great presentation.
Geat audio. Perfect voice.
Hey thanks - I really appreciate you watching and I appreciate the feedback!
I have a SR 1911 CMD. Had both the Remington R1 and Springfield 1911. Replaced them both with a Ruger SR 1911. Love the CMD size.
The plunger tube on the Ruger is machined with the frame. The others are staked on.
As a Remington 1911 user, enjoyed it greatly so far
. Ruger makes that best 1911s for the money. My 2 Rem.s had to be lub,ed & shot 200 rounds before they became reliable. My Sig 1911 STX was $1050 but shot great right out of the box, better than my Gold Cup.
Very good video on comparison. Thanks. I have been looking at getting the Ruger SR1911 but now I'm going to think about one of the others. I like all of the extras you get with the Springfield.
Excellent presentation! I own all three of these and learned a lot about each one of them. Your delivery was clear, concise and to the point! I appreciate the information.
Which do you like best?
Great job on explaining the competition/options on these .45.
That Ruger gets my vote, it comes set up with the B-tail, trigger, sites, like the two toned look to it.
I'd have to go with Springfield, although the ruger is nicer stock. I love the idea of the remington also but it doesn't look as attractive. I guess it would come down to price vs fit and finish
The video close-ups are most valuable. If I'm keeping the pistols straight, I gotta say the Remington R1 appears to have better fit and finish overall. Also, I think it would be great if you could compare the Remington R1 Enhanced and the Ruger SR1911, that would seem a more faire comparison. I still am torn between the two. Remington has really come around and is making great pistols again. Ruger has great customer service and is made in Arizona, which I love. Torn... I'd welcome any opinions.
Springfields are made better, love the forged frame. Like that ruger too. Like the Remington aswell, HECK I LIKE'M ALL 😄
Springfield's have a better frame than Ruger? That could be a deciding factor for me. Durability and engineering is a huge thing for me (Which is why I own so many Heckler and Koch USP and P2000, P30s etc.)
Lol and I have a Taurus pt1911 but I ain't complaining, works just fine for me
All the guns are the best for me, I like all of them.
Springfield is Hands down my choice! Ordered a Range Officer Champion will be picking it up in the A.m
Best 1911 video I have seen on UA-cam yet great job
Thanks man I really appreciate that - thanks for watching!
Excellent compare and contrast review of some popular 1911's!
I have the Springfield 1911 Mil Spec. It has a locking mechanism in the mainspring housing so you can lock so that you can't work the slide. Another feature I like about the Springfield is that, even though it's a .45 it has a 9mm titanium firing pin to make it lighter to avoid accidental discharge if dropped nose down, which eliminates the need for any series 80 firing pin block crap.
I have only read that about the reader and have yet to find any things that specifies the Springfield uses a titanium firing pin. I wonder where I can confirm this?
@@JimmyDevere You can call Springfield Armory and ask them
Love those black grips on that Springfield. That’s exactly what I am looking for.
I have the SR1911 TALO edition and absolutely love it. Great shooting pistol, great quality. I fired the R1 and it seemed to do just fine also. Haven't tried the Springfield so can't say anything about it.
i have all three they are like my kids love them all in they're on way .you can never have to many 1911's i have high end & low end love them all keep on shooting
Can you tell me which one you think would be the most reliable? Really trying to decide on these 3
I have a Springfield 1911 mil spec. I bought it pre Springfield jumping the shark. I love it. I would love to have the Ruger 1911 chambered in 10mm.
I'm new to this. What did Springfield do?
This is an excellent, thorough video. Thank you!
Very complete in depth and professional presentation. Well done sir.
Comparing the 3 of these against each other is a good beginning, but It would have been valuable to have also compared them against the specifications of the colts.
I don't think it can be argued that Colt is considered the "Standard" of 1911 pistols, so comparing internal components like sear pin diameters, sear spring widths, frame radius for grip safeties, recoil spring tensions would have illuminated part fiting issues.
Ruger is the best 1911 on the table for the money.
Ruger is a very nice gun.,,,But i would give the nod to the springer
unlitdardness I learned to shoot with a Colt 1911. I have never owned a 1911, but I want one, and will buy one. It looks to me that Ruger came up with a great 1911 and, for the money, the best deal out there.
I have a Springfield Operator and a SR 1911... Both great, just different... I think the SR 1911 is HUGE bang for the buck.
unlitdarkness6 not really when you can get a remington carry commander for damn near the same price as a standard springfield or ruger granted the ruger is more bang for your buck than that generic springfield. Magnum research desert eagle 1911 has a bull barrel and is made of 4140 and is still cheaper than that springfield
I just got the remington r1 in black for 513 out the door. I had a ruger sr commander judt like the one in the video and for me, i wish ruger would put out more standard blued 1911s.. its a nostalgic gun for me. Not a carry. Just a shooter with alot of history. That being said i want double diamond grips on a black gun. Just me but thats why i own the remington now.
I have the springfield model in the military parkerised version. I got it for $250 pre covid. I love it. Shoots well
Good video. Just to help clarify the differences between forging and casting. Casting is done with molten metal which is poured into a mold. Forging is done with a Hot Metal bar stock which is forced into shape on a high powered press or Hammer system. Both are machine finished. Forging creates a much stronger piece than casting.
After Springfield's backroom dealing to cover their asses while Screwing Us, I just cant buy one of their pistols again. That Sucks because they do make some I really would have liked to shoot.
Remington R1 Enhanced - Love It! Springfield Loaded - Love it! Ruger Talo Night Watchman - Sold it! It was a rattle trap. Looked good, but couldn’t get over the sloppiness.
Forged means they took a piece of steel that brought to near molten temperature then smashed into the shape intended then machined into the final product . casting means they brought the steel to molten state then poured into a casting then machined into final product . then billet means they took a block of metal machined it to the final product . i love it when people do reviews and know bare minimal about what they are reviewing something
I sold off my then new S&W 1911 to buy the Ruger SR 1911 gun.did not like or care for the S&W 1911 at all etc. What a good decision it was also.
I chose the ruger and never looked back extremely happy especially after shooting it and nailing the bullseye with a extremely good grouping right out of the box
I own 4 1911’s all colts. My first 1911 I ever bought was Colt 1911 that was made in 1924, and it is stamped “ United States property”. The 2nd 1911 I bought was made in 1914 and was made for Canada. The 3rd 1911 I bought is colt 1911 made for civilians in 1969. the 4th 1911 I didn’t buy, my grandfather was issued it in the Korean War and it was also made by colt and its a 1911A1 made in 1943.
Colt was the only company John browning ( Gun engineer from the state of Utah, USA) trusted with his design. There’s just something about how a colt 1911 feels. Carried by US troops since WW1.
Colt, Remington and Springfield Armory have all had military contracts that where all worth millions especially colt. Springfield had a contract for the M1 Garand, Remington had a contract for the M1903 Springfield rifle during WW2, and Contract with the Russians for Mosin-Nagant and a contact with the British for the P14 rifle in WW1. Colt has had military contracts with the US military since the Civil war. Ruger took off from making their M77 hunting rifles in the late 60’s and early 70’s and have been doing good ever since. Bill Ruger was more a liberal by nature tho, and didn’t believe in magazines more than 10 rounds and he didn’t believe in defense guns, he was strictly a business man and hunter. Ruger was known for cutting corners and saving money, yet somehow still coming out with a decent gun for the money. I’ve always trusted Colt, because they have been making the 1911 will since 1911, longer than anyone else.
I just don’t like how Ruger cast all their shit, milled is always better.
@@Viktor20689 what i thought besides sleep more important to those just wanting to flex what they spent on over rated side arms lol as always
Wow your videos have really improved in the last 5 years...not that this one is bad. I own a lot of 1911's and do own all of these reviewed here. I have one Remington R1 and one Ruger SR1911 at present. I probably have over six Springfield 1911's at lest half of them are 1911 Mil-Spec's only because I buy used guns at what I feel are priced right and I find a lot Mil-Spec Springfield's for sale at reasonable prices. Saying that I probably put more rounds through the Ruger & Remington. I like the Ruger & Remington a lot. My first Springfield 1911 was not great so maybe that is why I buy them and they just get parked in the gun safe.
Good video and info, thanks. I carried a Springfield 1911 for a duty gun for many years with no problems. I'm also a Ruger revolver fan, both are good companies.
I was considering the Remington 1911 as my very first fire arm. I was pretty dead set on it. However, I like to be well educated before investing in anything.
Thanks to this video, I am now confident in moving forward with Springfield 1911 Stainless.
The Springfield 1911 is a great choice. I have at least 5k rounds through mine and I can't say I have ever had an issue. I am sure you will be happy with it. Congrats on your first firearm!
straight talking salt of the earth review. nice to get all the useful information in a calm and thoughtful way .
The Ruger SR1911 CMD also has a match grade barrel. I do own and shoot one. It can’t be beay for the money. - Pete
I just got a the full sized stainless ruger. I hope I love it as much as everyone else!
Best review I have seen so far on a 1911.
TOREMONE thanks! I appreciate your feedback and thanks for watching!
I'm pretty sure the R1 frames (non-para ordnance derivatives) are forged then milled (I think they had the tooling from way back when). Other than being a series 80 build, they're really good guns. The para ordnance derivative R1 frames (double stack) are cast. I prefer the Springfield armory guns though.. they're just really well built and don't have the series 80 safety set. You can always tell a cast frame (from any maker) because the metal has to be coated with some kind of paint. This is because casting usually leaves pits and holes (even the best castings on a production level)... to cover these up they have to coat the frame (like the ruger frame is coated with stainless looking paint). Forgings and castings will both sometimes have seams.
of course, I might be wrong.
Very good comparison video.
No to make up my mind between the Ruger Commander an a Ruger Full size.
All nice 1911's from personal experience. I rate them: 1. Springfield 2. Ruger 3. Remington
