You are a pillar of the community. I loved your colabs with Paradox on their channel where you introduced DLC mechanics. Your voice, cadence and talking style suits presenting stuff, you might want to keep that in mind job-wise. Keep on doing the good work!
The after the end dev was so wholesome, I really enjoyed hearing someone talk about one of my fave mods. I also really loved how open the Godherja mod was about everything. Great stuff Tomato
I can't even begin to describe how much I appreciate that the Realms in Exile team really respects the Middle Earth world builders that came before them. I find it kind of frustrating when new world builders will come in and completely ignore massive world building efforts like MERP. There are definitely some iffy bits of lore in MERP which can safely be ignored, but there's also some absolutely amazing stuff in there and that gets ignored and often replaced with something that is worse. It's a lot easier to make something good when you're building on the backs of those who came before. I also really appreciate how it feels like this timeless neverending collaboration effort to create Middle Earth, from Tolkien to MERP and now finally the Realms team.
3:14:00 barons are virtually unplayable and gameplayless, but they are counter powers for counts/dukes and backup councilors or rp-feudal ties. They are npc wanderer and armies anchors too btw. Pdox also seems to be moving towards more playable barons too so lets not just cast them out so fast
Bro i have just watched the whole video! And its great that you put all of the important links to the description. I hope you can get 10 times more subs mate!
Lovely! Total Conversion Mods take CK3 and make something greater than the sum of its parts. I'll be playing CKAGOT into my retirement, I hope you get to interview them too someday!
I just listened to this over a few days, such great content. I'm the sort of person who is always timid of trying mods and enjoys the vanilla game so much, and you really convinced me to give these mods a try. I'd love to see a part 2 for this format, and I'm sure you enjoy the chance to do something different, it really comes through in your passion, and you asked some really interesting qustiona. Thank you to all of you talented creators who make such labors of love, as well as to you Souls for being such a crucial pillar of the CK3 community!
Realms in Exile is hands down the best immersive experience for Middle Earth, as well as PJs film adaptation. While not as grand scale militarily speaking as say DaC TW, but the mechanics available for depth in base CK3 is just so good for Tolkiens world. I will absolutely stick around into my 30’s for the bookmarks they’ve planned. Thanks for taking the time to do this for all the modding community
Finally finished the video. This is definitely one of THE ck3 modding videos. So much inspiration, if only i was organized enough to not waste at least 5% of it...
Absolutely here for the GH interview, I’ve been consuming that mod like it’s more necessary to my continued existence then air, water or food I also often fail spectacularly during my playthroughs but that’s nothing to do with the mod, that’s me being a half wit with no talent for CKIII 🤣
@Soul_Tomato The Age of the Five, by Trudi Canavan. Used to read that series at least once a year. Basically a fantasy series about two major organized religions growing in power and going to war, with lots of making alliances and divine interventions. HIGHLY reccomend those books, it has cool ideas about gods, mythology, religious indoctrination, etc. From a first quick assessment, the mod may struggle with the scale of the world - in the books, only two continents are ever shown and mentioned, and a lot of the geopolitical background about some of the countries is never mentioned. I think there's like 10 countries alltogether? But hey, we can't all be Tolkien ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Godherja is made so it's quite possible. But I'd suggest you start small first. Start somewhere first and build from there. Kind of like how Tolkien started with his constructed languages first before imagining what the world would be like for these people that spoke said languages.
Doing Naruto tc mod, was another TC mod lead coder. Now i know who should i give early access in 9-10 months later hah Though i dont know would you be interested in Naruto mod, anime not for everyone lol
18:00 Makes me want to get into modelling since I like doing digital drawing and I was a creative person before, but I'm not sure which program or software they use to make the buildings, the characters, the artifacts, etc.
I agree but I reached out to a few teams. The ones listed are the ones who replied or more importantly were available within the timeframe. Although I didn’t reach out to Azeroth because they’re a bit busy with their upcoming update.

You’re too kind. I’m glad you liked it
Really cool idea to interview them. I’m listening to it now, and will be on and off throughout the day. Love you man
Thank you my friend
Thanks for having me on!!
Of course. Always a pleasure

Morning joint ready, video loaded. Oh yeah I’m getting nothing done before work
The way to be brother 🫡
I'm totally down for more content like this.
The LK interview was particularly interesting.
I may do a part 2 in the future :)
🙏
Ahh man as a person that studied history for a year and switched to data science i felt that comment with wrench haha.
Man, love this concept. You should be doing quarterly reviews with the devs of major mods.
I wouldn’t want to bother them like that but I’m glad you liked it!
To Lonley Knightess. We in Scandinavia will not emphasize the J as hard and it will be a soft J so yes we are insane :P
The “d” j does not exist for yall. Just “y”baby.
@@Soul_Tomato Same in German. J is usually pronounced like a consonant y, like in "yes" and "you"
These people keep CK2 and CK3 lasting longer as a game... Please, keep up the good work!!!

Hello guys, welcome back to NPR's the Tomato garden
Honestly making this a recurring segment would be cool. Maybe once per quarter or twice a year or so?
Bro i have just watched the whole video! And its great that you put all of the important links to the description. I hope you can get 10 times more subs mate!
I must do our part to share these mods proper :)
This makes me want to continue my project. I'm working on a kinda alt history mod, it changes a bit more than what the name gives. "Regnum Britannia."
Please do!
Im here for dark elves. And elves. You should join us with elves.
Really enjoyed this! Great interviewing and some great info!

I love Ate and was waiting for some new info, also really cool to listen to all the different devs.
LETS FUCKING GOOO!!!! I was waiting for this

Of course!
Godherja got me into ck3 mods thank you
most i heard wrench talk in 4 years
thank you introducing world of ck3 modding
Awesome idea for a video as always!
WOOO LETS GOOO TEXAS, very glad I listened to this interview
Love PoD and would be a dream come true to see the mod going into the final nights
Finally finished the video. This is definitely one of THE ck3 modding videos. So much inspiration, if only i was organized enough to not waste at least 5% of it...
All it takes is a single step to start
@@Soul_Tomato I have started more than a year ago...
Absolutely here for the GH interview, I’ve been consuming that mod like it’s more necessary to my continued existence then air, water or food

Great! It's amazing that you actually did this. Modders really deserve all the recognition and praise!
Completely agree
Thx i just love getting some inside info on modding, really great idea.
> not a single playthrough since 2022
ha, I feel that. 2000 hours, last time I actually played was Fate of Iberia.
That was awesome soul. Cant wait for the next one
Perfect for my commute, thanks!
Glad you liked it
I’d love to hear from the Elder Kings team if you do a follow up video
We tried to meet up but couldn’t make it work. We will see if I do another if they can.
Godherja is one of the best fantasy settings would love to see it become a ttrpg
Sooner than later!
Great video to podcast while at work!
This very cool to see the devs point of view
I've never done any programming, digital/3d art, or game design... but i kinda wanna make a mod for a high fantasy series from the 00s now.
What series? 👀
@Soul_Tomato The Age of the Five, by Trudi Canavan. Used to read that series at least once a year. @@Kairilification I actually grew up on anime haha. Naruto was a go to for me back in the 2000s though I admittedly don’t watch a ton of it anymore
I really liked this. Played some AGOT while I listened. Was a whole vibe😂
Nahhhh! Dude you’re amazing!
No interview with Carnalitas mod leads? What a shame...))
No Elder Kings? :(
Our schedules didn’t align :(

I THINK people use blender?
@@Soul_Tomato Blender huh? I'll take a look. Thanks, Soul!
You can def ask on the co-op too
I think agot and guardian of azeroth dev should be here
I agree but I reached out to a few teams. The ones listed are the ones who replied or more importantly were available within the timeframe. Although I didn’t reach out to Azeroth because they’re a bit busy with their upcoming update.
@@Soul_Tomato well azeroth has very few dev so that understandable agot on the other hand has too many lol
Did you ask the EK2 team, they've done some great stuff.
I asked most major mod teams. EK2 and AGOT couldn’t due to scheduling conflicts.
@Soul_Tomato ah, that's unfortunate. Ty!
time to bundle up with a cup of coffee and get cozy for this
Make me one too brotha
Nice
I totally understand if not, but would it be possible to have these interviews as their own videos with time stamps to the questions?
Sadly not
AGOT next!! ❤
The fact that mod co-op was made by an (ex?) TNO dev is... wow.
To be clear although they def distance themselves from it LK is not only an ex dev, they created TNO
@@Soul_Tomato yea but still. The internet is such a small place...
I did something with my files and now ate doesn't work for me, I was just getting into it again
You can always verify integrity of ck3 and then just reinstall mods
@Soul_Tomato I've tried lots of stuff so idk man but watching this video makes me wanna play these other mods to
YEEES YEEES YEEEEEEEESS❤❤❤
Agot not here. I wonder why ~
They were too busy unfortunately
no agot?
They were busy during the timeframe I was working with sadly
