Indeed, we plan to use that mechanic, but we want to do it right, which means alot of advanced coding, option, and stretching vanilla systems. It's still only in the concept work phase, until our current beta period finishes. Hopefully it will come out sometime next year, but it will certainly be our biggest update yet, and will require massive amounts of work and testing.

"If it be truly the Silmaril which we saw cast into the sea that rises again by the power of the Valar, then let us be glad; for its glory is seen now by many, and is yet secure from all evil." - Maglor
Makalaurë is Maglor's other name that is given by his mother, in Quenya. These names are often termed as mother-name, and they often tell of what the children will be like in the future since elvish mothers tend to have a gift of foresight into their children's future. It means 'gold-cleaver', alluding to the power of his voice. Maglor is the Sindarin rendering of Makalaurë. Thought to say this in case you were wondering why Ulmo called him Makalaurë.

@@Soul_Tomato thanks, but it says it requires version 1.14.2.2, however, whenever I go to properties in steam it does not have that version… any ideas?
I'm convinced that you speaking normally is actually you imitating a human while in reality you're a hill troll and in the video you just used your normal voice
They explained this a bit in the interview and it’s mostly for people who don’t want to just worry about the war of the ring over and over again. Plus they’ve kind of already filled out most of the known world at this point
It's because we have both types of people on our dev team. Some of us only work in cannon areas, and thus are working on the earlier start dates. However, others really enjoy expanding the map and playing with non-cannon lore, in addition to the fact that it is much easier to do quickly. All in all, only 2 out of our 6 map expansions so far have been non-cannon areas, both because we needed a break after a major update in the cannon areas. Now that all the major systems are in, we're splitting to two main development streams, one for earlier start dates, and one for more map expansions, with a third for the advanced work on the Fellowship. We have no firm ideas when the first updates from each of them will be coming out, but sometime next year is a good time to expect for our first new start date and next major map expansion.
I just realized that with landless adventurers, you could play as the Fellowship.
You could but there’d be no mechanics for it. They plan to add it in eventually but it’s going to take a lot of work/time
