The last thing you want people to notice while they are foraging/walking around is "Oh hey, look! a survivalist shelter!" I would make my entrance/exit look like a natural rock formation.

I would love to do this 30 day challenge with an Atlas Bunker because if I could afford a bunker it would be Atlas bunkers building it!!! Good Luck Everyone 🙂
I have some questions and comments: 1. Where do you get a/c power for 30 days to run lights, the heater, the nbc filter/fan, the sewage lift pump? 2. the answer to number 1 is probably a generator... how quiet/stealthy will a generator be? is it outside, or inside? can it be tampered with? 3. The NBC filter..... let's assume that it gets loaded with particulate, something like cs-137 and co-60 both are gamma emitters. how does everyone feel about being 5ft from a filter that is loaded up with gamma emitting particles? 4. overall, I think these bunkers are fun play toys, good tornado shelters, maybe ok for civil unrest and to keep bad guys at bay for a period of time. They over promise as a nbc 30 day shelter. These shelters certainly would increase your chance of survival by a lot, but they are in NO way a full stop solution, and I think a lot of issues would arise if you actually had to spend 30 days in this tube. I just think most of these companies taking $80,000-$150,000 of your money should list some of the caveats. I'm not saying they are over-charging for what they are selling, i'm simply saying that they are over-promising, by way of not listing the potential downfalls of a shelter like this. Folks buy in thinking it's a comprehensive solution, when in reality it is not. The reality is you just simply need a bigger structure to have all that is needed for longer term stay underground. You need a power plant area, with a small generator, ideally something water cooled so that radiator cooling air can be directed through vents for intake/exhaust for cooling the engine. Also water cooled generators generally run at 1800 rpm and are quieter, and consume less fuel. Let's no forget you need at least nuclear/particulate filtration for your power plant air intake, so that your entire power plant room does not become contaminated. power distribution should be in this same area. You need fire suppression. You need a radiation shielded area to house the air filtration. If you intend to change filters, you need a de-contamination process for yourself after changing filters, you also need a sealed space to change the filters. In fact, the entire filtration area should be sealed because of the likely leakage of contamination when handling, hooking up, unhooking a filter. There is a whole lot more that goes into an underground shelter to make it full stop safe. One additional note, if the outer door gets ripped off/removed, fallout can easily fall down into that tunnel, and that 3/8" steel door isnt gonna stop highly penetrating gamma rays. You really need a 90 degree corner, and a corridor to limit how much particulate reaches that 90 degree corner. I could go on and on....
A few weeks ago, my family and I tried out a little of our survival food, just to see what it tastes like. Over time We have bought 6 months worth for 4 people. The survival food was not bad! But I would definitely make sure you have spices! They can be a little bland! But I will say, it was pretty good! We use NuManna food for prepping.
We have done the same thing. We bought basically the same meal from 3 different companies, and did a taste test. Mountain house was really good. Food for Patriots was ok, wise was so bad my dogs wouldn't eat it. Haven't tried essential foods yet.
it's about to get real Yes! I think it’s important for people to try out the food before buying buckets of meals! NuManna has Gluten-free and Non-GMO. I may try some other brands too that are Gluten-Free, Organic and Non-GMO. My kids really liked the Chicken Parmesan and Pasta Primavera from NuManna.
Who's going to put the table back on top of hatch and the tarp to keep water out? If you were to stumble across a bunker the air vent is never hard to find and plug, put it in a hollow tree found! Just how is that little thin hatch going to protect from say fallout? Where is the power coming from?
My husband and I are both seniors and we have overcome a lot of challenges in life but this is something we do need to practice to see if we could survive if something would happen.
I've recently been dreaming about owning a bunker like one of these. I have no idea why because I live in the UK and we really don't need one for storms or anything like that but I think they're cozy and fun! I wouldn't want to spend 30 days in one but a week could be interesting. I think I'd really miss a proper working toilet really fast though.
I'd love to do that thirty day challenge but I have cancer my girls pregnant and has a shunt that moves her spinal fluid from her head to her stomach probably would get altitude sickness but non the less looks fine I'm glad we have honest hard working people out here like u helping out the community keep up the good work brother
Hey bud, these videos are great thanks for sharing. I wish I could afford these kind of big boy toys! Some day... Anyways, hey have you ever thought about doing a show along with 'The Lockpicking Lawyer' to see if he can gain access to a bunker? I'm sure he could provide some great insight on security aspects. I'm thinking about trying an off-the-grid style tiny home build, maybe partially underground and using as much locally sourced materials and reclaimed supplies as possible. If you had any sort of videos on how to achieve some level of underground comfort 'on a budget', I would find that very interesting. I did already watch your septic-tank-as-a-cache video and that's a neat start but I don't think it'll work for what I'm trying to do.
I'm in nsw Australia, I have always wanted to live underground. if you have one here I'm keen 😇 I have been designing bunkers and under ground homes on paper since I was a child. I'm now 47. My bunker would have a small grow room for fast growing food. Eg .. sprouts. Seed storage. Section of survival books and weapons. Tool storage for when you come out. Could use wasted space in mud room for that. I planned on linking up to underground spring or river with tanks and a number of cut off valves. My ideas go well beyond a simple bunker. I love it. ❤ and I love that you are helping so many people 💕 good man 👍
Husband and I did for 7 yrs due to his construction job, we just made nightly calls after our work, talk about the day's events and when he came home 1 a month for the weekend, we go fishing, bowling or something as his Honey Do List was never ending, we are solid people with basic respect for each other and probably this marriage worked going on 21 years. I'm am a lucky gal
The problem with this setup is that you have to reveal the hatch when you enter the bunker. So anyone who is looking for it will have no problem finding it. You need some camouflage that covers the hatch after you enter.
@@mrpreparedallthetime1099 One for air going in and one for air going out. But is there any possibility having 2 air pipes for air going in and 2 for air going out?
If I had the money for one I would want it forty feet down and twice as wide. Then would want four air pipes for ventilation and they would extend thirty feet in the air with a concrete post poured around them with a few fake posts more that would hang power lines to my house instead of wood power lines. That way it would look like I didn't want wooden utility poles. Them extending so far in the air would also allow for me to be under ground in the event of a flood, hurricane or any other natural disaster. If hit by a forty foot tsunami wave, the emergency valve would keep water from entering the bunker and the wave would pass in just a few minutes and air would resume quickly
Then the kings of the earth, the high officials, the military commanders, the rich, the strong, every slave, and every free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rocks: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” - Revelation 6:15-17 The Bible here shows that the mighty ones of the earth-the rulers of the nations, the military leaders, the wealthy business magnates-and all who support them, whether conscripted or volunteers, will have to meet up with Jehovah God's judgment. They will have no way to flee! Their selfish schemes and efforts to preserve this old wicked system will fail. They will be forced to see that heaven’s favor is not upon them.

I remember seeing the full video where he walks around the site for several minutes not knowing where the bunker was located. The owner shows up and points him to the tarp over the hatch, but the fact that it was so well disguised after eight years in the ground was interesting.
I would have to camouflage my pipe with tree bark. So no one would Recognize what it is.
You're right but then if someone spotted it they'd definitely check it out, rather than if it was just a top to a table

Yep, I guess neighbors are just going to accept their fate and sit quietly and wait to die.
Really? Can you point it out in a map for us?
@@lh3428 No, I can't point it out on a map. That doesn't mean that someone watching the video won't recognize something in the video and know immediately the location of the bunker.

Such a cool bunker, and all the other atlas bunkers!
Yep, no one will ever suspect a bunch of upside down picnic tables lol
This is awesome! I don’t think you can be to prepared these days. But my question is what happens if there’s a flood? I would want a water tight door.

Think the bed would probably be better off placed somewhere else instead of right next to a noisy generator.

I would love to do this 30 day challenge with an Atlas Bunker because if I could afford a bunker it would be Atlas bunkers building it!!! Good Luck Everyone 🙂
Challenge accepted! Would love to spend 30 days away from society!
Where does the power come from? If the grid goes down, is there still power?
That would be a dream come true. I can't afford any of that. My family and I. Would Love to be picked for that kind of prize.
This one is like 200k sell your house lol
What would stop someone from placing a contractor grade garbage bag over the vent tube and secure it with masking tape?
I wood love to bunker down challenge for 30 days or more. Lol. I want in. Love your channel, aswell as the bunkers.
I'd rather do the other bunker challenge where you stay in a spaceship until you get to mars
This guys are happy to finally use this buncker
probably not happy but relieved that the have it...
along with a...
"see I told you so"😅
Hella way to get a free pizza ..
They will never find this place in 30 minutes
I have some questions and comments:

What prevents someone from wrapping that air pipe in plastic and waiting until the O2 is gone? Or pupming gas down in and throwing a match?
Or parking a car on the hatch.
Now it's a good time for that tour and 30 days trial, where do I sign up?
Who's going to put the table back on top of hatch and the tarp to keep water out? If you were to stumble across a bunker the air vent is never hard to find and plug, put it in a hollow tree found! Just how is that little thin hatch going to protect from say fallout? Where is the power coming from?
We would love the opportunity to try it out. A learning experience before it became reality.
How to hide a bunker in the woods?
Rule 1: don’t cover it with a big blue tarp & modern outdoor dining table
My family may not want to come out after we spend a month away from the insanity of the world!
I'd rather stay away from my family. Give me a ps4 and I'd need to be pulled out.
Reminds me of John Goodman’s place in cloverfield lane
Love the videos and thanks for putting the challenge out there for us!
I could totally spend 30 days alone down there. As long as I had my meds and essentials, I’m good.
youtube suggesting this during the covid19 peak in the us .. i think they know its doomsday
You do understand this guy is a crazy FAKE Christian, hoping for the end times? Right?
1 bottle of great stuff foam would cut the air supply off?
I will do it for the entire winter , I dont go out when it is cold anyways
A few strangers locked in a bunker for the winter would be a TV show and I am good with it , come on down !
WOW I LOVED THE IDEA!
everybody: oh shit were gonna die!!!
doomsday prepper: told u so!!!😁😁😁
Would love to live in one. Been wanting one myself!
Wow having a challenge like this will make people want to watch it
Purpose for building a bunker:
Everyone: volcano eruption, hurricane, tornado...
Americans: Zombies.
The world is in danger
Russians: Americans.
Coronavirus
Co-vid 19
Covid 19 is a zombie apocalypse 🤔
Places I wouldn’t want to be during a volcanic eruption: this underground bunker.
Putting a steal box in lava is a no no.

The problem with this setup is that you have to reveal the hatch when you enter the bunker. So anyone who is looking for it will have no problem finding it. You need some camouflage that covers the hatch after you enter.
They sell large faux rocks..might work
Just imagine u do the challenge and suddenly come out to see a real appocalyptic world with no supplies
Id be a little pissed
Last year, this dude would have been called a wacko. Today, he is a genius!
Just a question. Can you have more than 1 air pipe for your bunker or is it limited to one? What happens if someone/something blocks it?
There's two
@@mrpreparedallthetime1099 One for air going in and one for air going out. But is there any possibility having 2 air pipes for air going in and 2 for air going out?
@FranKal FranKal Thank you :)
A shipping container in the ground even I could make this.
What a cool promotion, is this still ongoing? Great idea!!!
We would enjoy the challenge of staying in the bunker for 30 days. We are ex-military and like a good challenge!
Then the kings of the earth, the high officials, the military commanders, the rich, the strong, every slave, and every free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rocks: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” - Revelation 6:15-17
The Bible here shows that the mighty ones of the earth-the rulers of the nations, the military leaders, the wealthy business magnates-and all who support them, whether conscripted or volunteers, will have to meet up with Jehovah God's judgment. They will have no way to flee! Their selfish schemes and efforts to preserve this old wicked system will fail. They will be forced to see that heaven’s favor is not upon them.
Idk what had me laughing harder…. The guy just saying “I’m gonna go ahead and jump in your bed here.” OR “The air conditioner sounds like an air conditioner” 😂😂😂☠️☠️🤦🏻♂️

I remember seeing the full video where he walks around the site for several minutes not knowing where the bunker was located. The owner shows up and points him to the tarp over the hatch, but the fact that it was so well disguised after eight years in the ground was interesting.
