She should have been maybe a shade bit gentler to this piece... she really hacked up some parts of it-- but this is still my favorite version. She's awesome
I bet that legendary violinist Issac Stern will be sooo happy and proud of Janine's performance of Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1....and she can really do it like Mr. Stern.
I feel that Bruch would have wanted this played with the amount of passion Janine puts into this piece. She has always amazed me and left me breathless.
Besides, writing "Kol-nidrei", If the Nazis suspected he was of Jewish descent, he probably was. However those infamous times are gone and Bruch is still not popular in Germany.
