I asked the apple if you would have a good day. It said yes. Below you will find the recipe for this pudding translated into modern directions from the original, which you can always find at the end of my videos. Thank you for being here today ❤ Boiled Indian Meal Pudding, 1828 2 cups of yellow cornmeal 1 cup of warm milk, more or less 1 medium sized apple, peeled and diced 1 teaspoon of salt 1/4 cup Molasses 1 teaspoon of ginger A thick cloth String Flour, a few tablespoons Water, for boiling Combine your cornmeal and milk and stir up well until you've formed a thick paste. Into this add salt, ginger, molasses and a finely chopped apple. Take the cloth that you intend to boil your pudding in and dunk it in steaming hot water till saturated. Remove from the water, open it up and where you intend to lay down the pudding flour it well and thickly so that none of the cloth is visible beneath. Lay your pudding in it and tie the cloth up loosely. Let simmer gently, uncovered for 4 hours. * I actually boiled mine for 3.5 hours and thought that it tasted great with the center being done. If you are impatient like me keep that in mind.

I was going to say the exact same thing, around 2:20 when he rolls over and looks at the camera, it made me go hunt down my cat and give her some pets.
My wee aunty Sadie used to make clooty dumpling... which is cooked in a similar way. Full of spices and dried fruit... And there would be sixpenny pieces hidden in it at Christmas. You ate it with custard as a desert. Or it could be sliced when cold, then fried in grease with bacon, sausage, tattie scones and eggs for a Sunday breakfast. Or even just eaten cold.... I miss her for lots of reasons, but her clootie dumpling was the best in Glasgow. 🏴
I was watching a show about finding and refurbishing things. A chair was sent to an upolstery guy. They were in Scotland. I could not understand a word he said, but he was cute so it didn't matter.
