Well come on there is truth to what Ray is saying. I am united fan and I know many united fans who are subscribed to aftv. Every time Arsenal looses we tune into AFTV. The complete meltdown is absolutely hilarious. Most of the time it's performance art not genuine fan opinions to get more clicks. So when u are greedy u don't accuse other's of one. Rest will look forward to the next Arsenal loss and the meltdown from DT.

Bang out of order from Ray, I'm watching this again after a year. As an Arsenal fan watching AFTV you see reactions just like your own and it makes you feel part of the community and fanbase. Robbie has done a lot for us as Fans and has in fact made us want to watch every game as we all feel like we are in the same boat. Now with winning games and sitting top of the league i still watch arsenal fan tv as it shows the pure joy and love of our fanbase.

In fairness, Talksport don't have a loyalty to any club. They are concerned about all news. Wouldn't surprise me if some channel owners are starting to believe the mantra that "there's no news, like bad news". I don't know this guy or his channel. All I know is Talksport aren't supporting (or pretending to support) a team, so they don't have to worry about being called out for disloyalty or a bit of schadenfreude.

Ray works for a commercial station, viewer/listener figures are their bread and butter - it's literally why they exist, they have overheads and people on paid contracts, it's a business. They don't represent any club.

I certainly find AFTV funnier when they lose, but I'm sure Robbie would give his channel up to see Arsenal win the league and I've nothing but admiration from him for how he's built that channel from the ground up in a new media landscape. Ray is acting like an idiot here and Robbie handled this brilliantly.
There’s no questioning his love for the club. Like he said, win, draw or lose, AFTV is always out there, Robbie is always out there. He backs that team 100%. He has followed them into the freezing winter forests of northern Sweden, to Baku, Ukraine, Singapore, the US. So what if he makes money doing it? They aren't though, I stopped watching this season because Arsenal have been winning and look at the viewing figures now, Ty for example got 60,000 views for his Post West Ham interview whereas last season he was hitting 150k + on a regular basis, Arsenal's success has reduced the fun of watching for rival fans who are the main viewers.

@@felixleiter9123 Well when was the last time Ray Parlour could class himself as a "common man" - since before he was 18? He lives in a different world to the rest of us - he may carry an accent that gives the impression of being "one of the boys", but he is far gone from that. How can anyone (Arsenal fan or not) say they've been well supported financially? I remember the days when it was said "once the stadium is paid off, the transfers will come" well the fans are still waiting. They only moved to a new ground to fit more supporters in to make more money. Same as my club, Man Utd; "once the debt is gone, finances will be freed and the team will get the investment they need" - still waiting and don't see things changing.
Problem is I don't see anyone coming to save either club and run it like the fans want as the only people who would buy it would do so only because they can make a lot of money out of it. Kind of screwed.

Problem is we need a reset in football and this might come in the form of a wage cap, but agents, players and the clubs will find ways to get around the wage cap - most likely via sponsors giving greater financial endorsements. But the money will keep rolling in for the owners and I doubt any reset in football will mean cheaper shirts, tickets etc - no we will be left picking up the tab.
Man Utd, the joke of world football, we are one of the "richest" clubs in the world whose stadium has a leak in the roof. It's being left to ruins. Only way of having Glazers go out is by not buying any of their stuff, which will effect the team and drop the price. I'm worried who else will come in though. 50+1 sounds a great idea, but unless you can offer fans the opportunity to buy stock over the long term then it is merely a dream that will never take off.

TalkSport are terribly jealous of Robbie's channel. They were essentially the number 1 spot where fans would voice their concerns and frustrations but because AFTV and other fan channels are what most fans tune into now, TalkSport lost a lot of money and they can't handle it.

I’m an Arsenal supporter and used to say AFTV wanted the views if they lose but watch them and you can see how genuinely passionate they are about Arsenal, I’m not a big fan of AFTV but I can defiantly say they do not want us to lose for views.

As a Chelsea fan, I agree with Robbie here. Don't get me wrong, you can't deny that rival fans watch AFTV when they lose, you can't deny that, but that Robbie fella seems to be doing a good job with his channel & whether they win or lose, you can tell that both himself & the people he talks to on that channel, care about their football club. I'm not a big fan of AFTV and find their content to be over-the-top quite frequently, but for an Arsenal legend to launch into an attack like this while working for Talksport of all places - that is the height of irony. Although there's every possibility that Ray knows he's going full hypocrite and is only being inflammatory because he knows a heated argument like this is likely to go viral, which is him doing his job well.
