Actually hair type DOES matter when you're doing hair tutorial because everyones hair is different and certain styles don't come out the same. As a viewer it can be frustrating when you see a title stating "blablablah on 4c" and the content creator is not 4c or isn't in the type 4 range at all.(Speaking in general) If you claim that it doesn't matter then that means everything a type 1 hair girl does to her hair should work for you also but we all know thats not the case. People aren't attacking you they are just stating the obvious, so take it with a grain of salt.

If u actually watched the video you'd also hear me state that other Eco styler hasn't worked for me but when I used this one with the denman brush and other products my curls look different. It is what it is free speech and no matter what I say people will continue to be pressed about it so this is the last time I'll say anything about this video cause the natural hair "gurus" are out in numbers. Chev B. I said I was speaking in general in my statement. The hair type doesn't matter message was ment for other viewer who claim that. I also saw that you got a little snappy with the people who didn't think your hair was 4c and you also liked and pinned one of the comments that said hair type doesn't matter. So yes I pay attention to detail. Now Im not claiming that your said it will work for everybody because you didn't. I'm just trying to get you to understand why some are saying your hair isn't 4c and it is not personal attack. It seems like you're taking it that way.
ShadyBrooks Fair enough.. It's just that uptight feel in the natural hair community that if your hair isn't kinky you can't claim this or that. Understood your point, at the end of the day we can agree that "good hair" is healthy hair and not the hair type you have

I don’t understand why people get frustrated with people in UA-cam videos doing natural hair videos. The first thing I always see confusion about is hair type. Like I understand these videos are to help but everybody’s hair isn’t the same instead of complaining about the video why not do your own research on hair products or do dyi products and see what’s best for YOUR hair.

Great presentation. My issue is after doing all of that my hair returns right back to an afro no defined curls at all. My hair refuses to be defined no matter what technique I use.....Any pointers
