GWAN BIG UP UNNU SELF ! XOXO
My mom is a retired beautician and she always described "awkward" length hair as "too short to be long, and too long to be short."
You just described my hair!
It's my fav hair length cause it puts me in a creative mode..
My favorite length too. Perfect length for me. When I see people with natural longer hair, all that I can think about is the amount of time and effort that they must spend on it, and I'm like not for me..
Mine! Hella awkward!!
Your mom makes sense💯
“my head is kinda big, it took me some time” FELT THATTT💀
Sameee
I want to try this on my hair, but I’m having too good of a week to be disappointed right now 😂. Props to you tho sis, the look was absolutely gorgeous.
Crystal Kembo i feel you
I felt this to my soul 😂😂😂
This is a mood😂😂
Two years later, this comment is still accurate. Lol.
Amen sis 😂😂😂💕💕
Can we take the time to appreciate them nails, sis??? 💅🥰💃
Michele T right boo yass🤤
She works so comfortably with them nails.. 💅 😍
Yes! And the fact that she handles her hair so well with them👌👌
@@amikalewis2278 I know right!!! Skills!!
Girllllll if I did all them twist u better believe those twist would be in for the week before I do a twist out. That’s hella work!
Tanisha Smith Lol ..I agree! I personally wear more twists styles than twist-outs anyway.
Yaaaaas that's all I was thinking
Exactly..😂😂
Amen.
Tanisha Smith plus the twists look bomb
The updo was super cute. Will try it on my hair. Thanks for the video.
The twists were cute too. I would have rocked them for a couple of days
Same
You saved my LIFE with the first one. I was struggling to pick something for my hair for school that would work, and wouldn’t take a while. Worked beautifully!
I would love for my hair to be at “awkward” length right now lol
Trust me you don't
azeezat hassan yes I would it’s WAY better than short hair. I’m tired of having weave in my hair just cause my hair needs growth. People who have awkward length/long hair forget the struggle 😞
@@tonystank1214 awkward length are quite difficult to put into ponytail because the side and the back are usually shorter so now you will have to put gel to be able to put your hair up
@@enitanh2734 100% agree with that.
@@enitanh2734 That's been my problem.
Mixing different types of products n using edge control. You are so right it do cause flakes. Speaking from experience
I used to experience flakes as well. What stopped it from happening is now as I twist with whatever product I use, I add a little dab of grease with it. It works for me!
I love the way the twists look in front very nice!!
This is a really cute hairstyle idea for any length! Nice tutorial.
When I separate m twist outs, the curls disappear and I get a lump of hair with not definition, lol... What to do?
Julia Gaitho make the sections smaller and you should have more definition once they are separated. Also make sure your hair is completely dry before taking your twist down too. Hopefully this helps!
This happens to my daughter, I don't know what to do.
Don’t separate like you’re in a rush to take out the twist for the next style lol
Gotta be 1000% dry
Julia Gaitho this happened to me too
Lol
Beautiful I love these natural styles your doing it keeps me with ideas on styling my own hair please come again with more natural styles!!!
Your hair is really growing now! I’m just noticing.
That’s my fav go to style 😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love this. My hair is 4c++ 😂 so it ain't gonna lay down like that. Its a struggle but rocking braids to grow it out now. Awesome job Chev!!
Sanya Hall 😂️😂️ 4C++, me too
Her hair looks 4c too though.
I have locs now and I still want this style..
Yessssssd my hair does slick for shit
I love this. Doing different styles with your natural hair. I was definitely looking for something like this. The make up oooo is still the bomb.
Can't wait for my hair to grow up more so I can try styles like these😍😍🇯🇲
The representation from 2015 till now how GROWN! I love this I’m going to try it tonight, thank you ❤️❤️
this was a great video and the hairstyles are so cute, it's so refreshing to finally find someone with my type of hair and exact hair length
Love your channel and content. Finally someone with my hair length and type that I can use as inspiration. Some reason searching short hairstyles = silky hair past the shoulders and longer on youtube.
Luve this style you should definitely rock your natural hair more often
I have the same texture of hair you have so I’ll be definitely following this page‼️
🙌🏾 yassss sis welcome !
Keyvon Graham I also have the same hair texture do you know what hair type it is?
Halima 20 if I’m not mistaken I think it’s 4c
If you want to avoid gels A good cream for twist/braid outs is the Miche Beauty quenched twisting butter. I have low porosity hair and it has never flaked on me and the definition is on point. (Plus it smells like candy)
I'm watching and putting the whole damn product line in my Amazon cart 😂 I'm newly natural and have had no worldly idea what to do besides a puff.
Love this comment because I can relate I just need my hair to get Curly enough and a bit more fuller and I’m definitely going to try and do this 🧡
Your hair is so beautiful, I loved the hairstyle xx
My hair had a mind of its own. The back of my hair is looser, so when I do a twistout, it essentially stretches like I did a blowout.
I think my hair gets more porous as it reaches to the end. Which sucks, because my leave in flakes with my gel. (I think due to carbomers or other polymers) But putting oil on it helps. For some reason my hair mayonnaise didn't flake with the gel.
If the product has cetyl alcohol or cetearyl alcohol or any other fatty alcohol z it's more lightly to flake if not thoroughly incorporated in small sections and left to set in. Flaking could happen later on if you fluff while dry.
Your videos have been helping me Sis!! Lol I love your creativity! 💜
Cute style! I'm trying to figure out how you pinned the back up so perfectly 😂 I guess practice makes perfect
Needed this for when I go back to school!!
This girl is amazing, keep posting beautiful. Im not the best at the hair styling thing. But your styles are simple and easy. I cant do the twist corn rows so i just do regular corn rows instead and the style is still popping.
I don't know what to say ,I'm gonna try this style for work definitely loving it its so cute
Funny I used these same products and I thought it was just me with the bagga flakes. But my twist out came out so juicy. I’m mad I can’t continue using the product 😫
This hairstyle tho is CUTEEEEEEE. Too bad my twist outs don’t stay 🤦🏽♀️ as soon as I step out the house, it’ll turn right back into one big ass Afro 😅😩 Struggles of living in the Caribbean
Maybe we could ask for anti-humidity product series!!!
Kayyy girl yesss this Caribbean humidity is sickening!!!! I be leaving home with a bomb ass twist out and by evening my hair already looking like I just big chopped it 🙄🙄 but I learned to buy products without glycerin in them and now my hair don’t be shrinking from the humidity
bex 😫 righttttt. Where are you from and what products you use now? I’m from St.Vincent and the products here are soooo expensive I’m over it 🤦🏽♀️ I just stop doing twist outs altogether because it’s frustrating. My hair don’t even last half an hour 🙄
Man I could imagine how frustrating it must be to do all that work and then have it revert back after an hour. That must suck. Most times when I do twists I just leave the twists in for a few days and then do my twist out when I'm close to wash day. I'm in the states in Texas and the humidity here is HORRIBLE on my 4C hair.
Giselle Nuveau I tried doing that couple times and got the same results 😩. I lived in Canada for 2 years and my twist outs used to last up to 4 days well defined and all. Came back home and it’s like only protective styles I can wear. Anything else is a solid no 🙄
Absolutely cute!!! My hair is the same texture and lengh as yours, and I was finding it so difficult to find hair tutorials for it... so thanks for this! you're very pretty
You've been saving me with these cute awkward length hairstyles, especially since I'm gonna be going back to school. Mi need dem!!!
This is sooo cute gonna try this out today. Your hair is growing & looks healthy.
Glad someone else has awkward short hair this style is being tried as I go. Thanks for the upload🦄🤩!
Glad to help 😊
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! One thing about my hair, if I tempt to do a twist out, the next morning I have white residue and I can't seem to get rid of it. With any oils or anything, it just ruins the whole look! Then again, I am heavy handed as well *shrugs*
Your hair is beautiful
I'm going to definitely try this style, when my hair grows out. That is such a cute style to keep up the twist out a little longer. Thank you for sharing!
sis dis hairstyle is on fleek PERIODT!!!!!!!
Everytime I need a hairstyle... your videos are the ones I look at, I too have low porosity hair so I also try to get the same products you use as long as I can get or afford them here in Jamaica... nuff blessings Chev B.
Your twists alone was bomb
Hunni love the hair look but can we get a video on that makeup look
Kimberly Anderson Yassssss!
I already like this video even before watching it.
Juicy twist out😍😍😍
This is my go to hairstyle! 😻😻 I love it lol but I do braids instead of twists, thanks girl!
Stunning lovely. I'm in love😍😍. Will try it tomorrow for the whole week😄😄
Love how you flat twist the front. Makes it so much easier.
I love 4c hair! It's so pretty
Will be attempting this style today wish me luck lol
Prob one of the few cute 4c short hair dos on UA-cam! So I am amped to try this! My lazy self is only twisting the middle/ top tho for the “up-do” look.
I love what u did its sooooooo cute and especially with those nails girrrrllll
U always do some really nice and simple natural hair styles that l love ❤
Glad you like them!
Cream of nature is a great brand for low porosity hair
It looks sooo nice!!! big up yuh self!!!
Thanks boo ! Big up your self !
This is so beautiful 😍. Thanks a lot for uploading.
Baby she did that!!! This is cute.
I am not going natural please don't tempt me like this with such beautiful styles. Nooo. This is super cute my dear
I wish you slowed down and really showed the look 😭😭 I’m trying to see what pattern you did for the twists in the front bc they’re so cute. Still love it and I appreciate you making this video!!💜
That updo was soo freakin cute!!
This came out so damn cute!!
I have edge control. I love Instant Control.
I love your accent! Gorgeous queen, keep doing what you're doing
I like your natural hair videos keep them coming.
You are a pro!!!! I love your hair styles. Creme of Nature is my favorite 😍 My hair grows fast with it as well.
Have you tried the taliah waajid curly curl cream....its really good I have thick dense low porosity hair
I’m definitely going to try that
Tw is awesome it's my favorite of them ALL the whole collection l love 🙌
This looks very cute....
U 🐝 🇯🇲 happy to hear and see u God bless !
😀😃😁😊😍😝Jamaican me. U😊
I like the pin up better.
Demetria Ware me too 💕 I actually was done recording then I started doing it in the bathroom then I’m like hold up let me do this on camera lol
Beautiful, all your styles you do be❤️
This is a cute style, love the definition
Your hair is perfect sis!! 👏🏽❣
Thank you soo much for this tutorial, I have been trying to find a natural hairstyle that fits me and doesn't make me look like a grandma lol. I absolutely love how this style looks on me
I feel your pain. My hair is past my neck curly. I don't do twist outs often. If I do. I wear those twists for 1-2 weeks. Then do the twist out.
She's so pretty :)
Love this! I’ll do the updo after it’s a couple days old, give it a new life
I've been wanting to get back to my natural styles and you really gave me the confidence
Your twist out technique is everything. So well defined,
Thank you for these types of video's, i'm not that creative with hair styles on my awkward length hair, and these types of video's helps me. I seen a few more of your videos like this. If you can, please make more video's like this.
ORS brand lock and twist gel is great for twists too
I would love to see the video on the style you’re wearing in the opening
Definitely gonna try this! Love it!!
can you pleaseee do a slick back tutorial ?
Don’t exploit your low porosity hair to make the product look like a god sent. If the product flakes, it flakes. Your hair doesn’t make it flake.
Karla Dawkins I also have low porosity hair and related to what she said about being heavy handed with products. It’s tricky to find out the right amount of product to use when you have low porosity because it will sit on top of your hair doesn’t necessarily mean the product is bad.
True. Products just sit on it like HELLLLLO lol
Very true. Because I use the same products in simba’s hair and he gets NO flakes 😩
Chev B. I get the low porosity struggle girl 😂 that’s why I have to use a product two or three times to figure out how much my hair could handle
@@cary1063 That's true! A lot of gels tend to make my hair flake like crazy. A creamy product that has NEVER let me down is Eden Bodyworks curl defining cream and pudding. I don't use them together, some people do.
Super cute hairstyle
That coconut milk spray smells soo good😍
you are so cute! new subbie! I'm DEFINITELY gonna try this style out. Thanks 4 sharing!
When she said "I usually use scissors to cut the band instead of pulling and tugging" it brought back the memory of the one time I did that and cut off about an inch of my hair
Fellow J'can. I have the same length n the texture is close but I got braids in n can't wait to try this
She pretty suh!!!!!!! Yasss mi gyal !!!!!!
Seriously you remind me of this Nigerian actress in Nollywood movies. She’s just as beautiful as you are!
Love this style I'm gonna try it
I love this channel. You have the best natural hairstyles!
Thank you ❤️
This look was my main look when I couldn't think of nothing else especially since I'm back in my awkward length
Try mane choice 24k twisting gel. Doesn't sit on top or flake. Looks pretty.
I feel your pain😭😭I'm growing my hair out, I am a 3c and I have low porosity hair
As soon as I started watching and heard your voice I said i bet she's from Toronto lol Great tutorial💕
lol thank you 💕
Now I'm looking for a visdeo video on how to get someone to help me do my hair when i want to make a video. Lol. Nice hair style!
Thank you so much sis, I need help with my hair. I have c4 hair 😫😍 it's a hate love relationship. Thank you for showing me how to maintain and not chop it off.😍
Your makeup is perfect
