I love it! My hair is just too long for me to be doing all that finger coiling. Id be working for hours. This gel works great when i just brush it thru in small sections as well tho for those of you who don't have the time or patience to finger coil. Esp if your hair is longer.

Just a point of correction ma'am. If you check the ingredients list of Ecostyler, Wetline and even Aunt Jackies Gels and even Camille Lavender, you'll see identical formulas. Don't let anybody use propaganda or marketing gimmicks to fool you, most of them have identical ingredients only that formula may just be different.
I know I’m years later but I LOVE this video as someone who knows very little about hair care and I especially had to subscribe when you explained rocking a fro is just as beautiful as defining your curls. Love your energy ❤️
My hair texture is exactly like this, but my hair is 2 inches shorter than yours. It was nice to see what it will look like when it grows out. Also, I use ECO Styler to achieve the same look. You can use anyone. Just wet your hair, dab dry very lightly where the hair still drips just a little on the towel around your neck, and apply the ECO Styler quickly by rubbing the gel on your palms. Then, scoop the gel using your fingertips and apply it - combing it in using your fingertips in all directions. I don't even section my hair. The curls pop immediately, and if one area is more defined than another, you need more gel in that section. Do it until you are satisfied with the curls. Then, finalize the style accordingly (fix the edges, etc). To prevent flaking, you can generously use any oil later that day to moisturize the hair. Pour it into your hand and rub it lightly all over your hair, trying not to ruin your curls.

It shouldn't, especially since she was freshly washed but too much product buildup (couple days or week) may give the hair a white/gray cast. Also if you use products that don't mesh well together. The Cantu leave-in conditioner I was using caked up a lot with Eco styler gel but I’ve switched brands and don't have the issue as much
I think your hair texture is the same as mine. I'm not exactly sure though. But, I've been on the natural hair journey now for more that 5 years and got discouraged and frustrated at times because I want to wear my own hair, nothing added. I've learned to embrace who I am and love my natural self, but have not been able to find the right hairstyles for me so I've been wearing wigs and braids like crazy! This video gives me hope! How do you care for or preserve your hairstyle for bedtime so that you don't have to do a lot to the style the next day?
Hey sis I can totally empathize with you! I've been natural for some years now & I am so OVER wigs, braids & weaves! Lol I used to wear roller sets regularly when I was relaxed so I've been learning how to do roller sets & curly styles on my natural hair. I am determined to start loving & embracing my natural hair & stop covering it up! It's definitely a mind renewal process from being told & then confessing negative things about my hair. So subconsciously I still hated it although I stopped relaxing it. But I thank God I am free from self rejection & rejection of others! We are fearfully & wonderfully made & that includes our beautiful hair strands! I wish you the best!❤
Girl! I know how you feel. I cut my hair twice because I didn't know what to do with it😩! Just keep trying until you find the right products! And this might sound crazy, but pray about your hair!! At least that's what I did, and suddenly I got it together lol. As for this hairstyle, I just put a silk bonnet on it and go to sleep. The next day I fluff it out with a little bit of water. I will do a video soon to explain the process. Keep trying! You got this❤️

Chandra Anderson, I feel your pain. I also went natural for a few years, but resorted back to wigs and weaves. The adding of hair is so fake to me. And getting compliments on them is so deceptive. Not finding a good hairstylist to get you going was my problem. I bought every black owned product, but couldn't get it together. Well, I decided to have this great hairstylist (she is about haircare, but NOT about natural styling.... wth!) do my hair. After she blow-dry & curled my hair, it was cute, but reverted the next day. Same week, I went to another natural hair salon to do a rod set, but she acted like I was an experiment. Like she never did it before, ugh! With the help of her coworker, the style came out nice. But will I go back? Nooooooo! It stayed good for over a week. So refreshing to get compliments on your short natural hair!! It felt so freeing! I am determined to not add anything to my twa! I will use satin wraps before wigs. I am done. I think I can do the rod set on my own, but before I do, I have one more hairstylist to check out. She is known to do natural styles and give great treatment. Wish me luck. I do hope you and all my sisters in the same boat, to make a stand and embrace our hair. The added hair is like a drug, an addiction. It is like a prison you cannot get out. I see the weave wearing women looking at me, with such sadness sometimes because I know they want out, but can't. They think they would be judged, but people actually applaud you and embrace your look, once YOU embrace your hair. God bless all my sisters. A new year is coming. Make that change!

Awww thank you ❤️❤️❤️! This look usually last me 4-5 days. I like to wash it after max 5 days. At night I sleep with a satin bonnet and sprits a little bit of water to revive the curls.

What did you do to make your hair stand up and look moisturized/shiny… in regards to the shrinkage and flakes that some usually get after applying curling gels once it dries? Help!
I just did this style with eck styler. Today I wore it out for day 2 and I had a really hot shower to help steam the hair, then used my wet hands to go through it a lil bit to soften it up from when I slept on it so it had its shape back, this helped with some of my frizz, then I blow dried it a little on low or medium to dry it so it's not white. I think re wetting the hair helps a lot with the white residue and then the drying as well. Then you can oil it or sheen spray it after.
Yes, yes, it is beautiful. I recently purchased several dif products after b viewing several other utubes. My hair was previously looking the way I wanted. I was washing n walking out the door. Now it just doesn't work 4 me. I went to get it blow dried and satin pressed n cut, it looked great BUT once the humidity hit it was not good. I will try ur products until I get it right.
I love the vibe. So I subscribed 🤗 I have 4a type curls. HappycurlHappygirl put me on to extreme wetline maybe over a year ago. And it's been my go-to staple to define and/or style my curls ever since! I haven't used any other gel. I love it so much!
Love this! Swear by wetline gel for the rare occasions I wash n go or finger define my curls. I modified my Denman brush to simulate finger combing because my curls are super thick and need alllll the clumping assistance. lol.
I tried the Aunti Jackie don't shrink curling gel with the curl la la and it did nothing for my 4C curls. Tried the S curl activator and gel activator still nothing 😕 I will try this gel plus The Doux mousee product as suggested by another here in the comments and see.
Update: Ok so my hair loves this Extreme wetline gel. Brought out a little bit of my curls, Yah! 😀The only thing left is to find a curl activator my hair responds to.🙄 My search continues...

You can use anyone. Just wet your hair, dab dry very lightly where the hair still drips just a little on the towel around your neck, and apply the ECO Styler quickly by rubbing the gel on your palms. Then, scoop the gel using your fingertips and apply it - combing it in using your fingertips in all directions. I don't even section my hair. The curls pop immediately, and if one area is more defined than another, you need more gel in that section. Do it until you are satisfied with the curls. Then, finalize the style accordingly (fix the edges, etc). To prevent flaking, you can generously use any oil later that day to moisturize the hair. Pour it into your hand and rub it lightly all over your hair, trying not to ruin your curls.

When the hair dries, does the product gel still show? Did you have to wipe it off?
It shouldn't, especially since she was freshly washed but too much product buildup (couple days or week) may give the hair a white/gray cast. Also if you use products that don't mesh well together. The Cantu leave-in conditioner I was using caked up a lot with Eco styler gel but I’ve switched brands and don't have the issue as much

I think your hair texture is the same as mine. I'm not exactly sure though. But, I've been on the natural hair journey now for more that 5 years and got discouraged and frustrated at times because I want to wear my own hair, nothing added. Hey sis I can totally empathize with you! I've been natural for some years now & I am so OVER wigs, braids & weaves! Lol I used to wear roller sets regularly when I was relaxed so I've been learning how to do roller sets & curly styles on my natural hair. I am determined to start loving & embracing my natural hair & stop covering it up! It's definitely a mind renewal process from being told & then confessing negative things about my hair. So subconsciously I still hated it although I stopped relaxing it. But I thank God I am free from self rejection & rejection of others! We are fearfully & wonderfully made & that includes our beautiful hair strands! I wish you the best!❤
Girl! I know how you feel. I cut my hair twice because I didn't know what to do with it😩! Just keep trying until you find the right products! And this might sound crazy, but pray about your hair!! At least that's what I did, and suddenly I got it together lol.
As for this hairstyle, I just put a silk bonnet on it and go to sleep. The next day I fluff it out with a little bit of water. I will do a video soon to explain the process.

Chandra Anderson, I feel your pain. I also went natural for a few years, but resorted back to wigs and weaves. The adding of hair is so fake to me. And getting compliments on them is so deceptive.
Not finding a good hairstylist to get you going was my problem. I bought every black owned product, but couldn't get it together. Well, I decided to have this great hairstylist (she is about haircare, but NOT about natural styling.... wth!) do my hair. After she blow-dry & curled my hair, it was cute, but reverted the next day. Same week, I went to another natural hair salon to do a rod set, but she acted like I was an experiment. Like she never did it before, ugh! With the help of her coworker, the style came out nice. But will I go back? Nooooooo! It stayed good for over a week. So refreshing to get compliments on your short natural hair!! It felt so freeing!
I am determined to not add anything to my twa!
I will use satin wraps before wigs. I am done.
I think I can do the rod set on my own, but before I do, I have one more hairstylist to check out. She is known to do natural styles and give great treatment. Wish me luck.
I do hope you and all my sisters in the same boat, to make a stand and embrace our hair. The added hair is like a drug, an addiction. It is like a prison you cannot get out. I see the weave wearing women looking at me, with such sadness sometimes because I know they want out, but can't.
They think they would be judged, but people actually applaud you and embrace your look, once YOU embrace your hair.

What did you do to make your hair stand up and look moisturized/shiny… in regards to the shrinkage and flakes that some usually get after applying curling gels once it dries? Help!
I just did this style with eck styler. Today I wore it out for day 2 and I had a really hot shower to help steam the hair, then used my wet hands to go through it a lil bit to soften it up from when I slept on it so it had its shape back, this helped with some of my frizz, then I blow dried it a little on low or medium to dry it so it's not white. I think re wetting the hair helps a lot with the white residue and then the drying as well. Then you can oil it or sheen spray it after.

Yes, yes, it is beautiful. I recently purchased several dif products after b viewing several other utubes. My hair was previously looking the way I wanted. I was washing n walking out the door. Now it just doesn't work 4 me. I went to get it blow dried and satin pressed n cut, it looked great BUT once the humidity hit it was not good. I will try ur products until I get it right.

Love this! Swear by wetline gel for the rare occasions I wash n go or finger define my curls. I modified my Denman brush to simulate finger combing because my curls are super thick and need alllll the clumping assistance. lol.

I tried the Aunti Jackie don't shrink curling gel with the curl la la and it did nothing for my 4C curls. Tried the S curl activator and gel activator still nothing 😕

There is a shrinkage. As you can see from the intro, the hair became a bit shorter, but the curls were still defined.
