@@mex3009 why not?

For the ppl asking how I dug a hole so large. I didn’t . At that particular time houston had juss seen all types of hurricanes and the beaches at the time had these huge ass sand dunes almost. As kids we naturally wanted to play on them so we did. The idea came across my head to dig from one side to the other. I did and had the help of my other buddy. Once we established a hole we made a tunnel.. but that’s when it went left on me . I was the one who went down and never came back up. The sand had collapsed & just like that the adrenaline was pumping and I wanted to freak out but I didn’t. I somehow knew not to freak out instead, I left it up to chance and just hoped they were digging me out. I was down there for what felt like a lifetime But In reality I was down there about 6-7 mins. Those 6-7 mins were life changing but I know what it’s like to almost die
In construction any hole dug more that 4 feet deep needs to be properly sloped or benched. Sand is way more prone to collapse than other types ground. The report should have ended with a public service announcement about the dangers of digging holes deeper than 4 feet. OSHA has regulations about this, people should be made aware after this preventable tragedy.

I've never heard of such a way to die before in my life. What an awful way to find out that a recreational, beach-going activity that we've all experimented with/partipated in before could potentially have dangerous/deadly consequences for everyone involved.. My heart aches for the family. 💔😔
for the family.
Tragic. My sincere condolences and prayer for the family especially the sister.
Definitely the worst day of her life. I love my little brother so much, it's hard to fathom.
@@consciousobserver629 I know. It's gotta be heartbreaking to lose your brother..💔
Who digs 6 Feet Deep at a beach?
Teenagers with no brain
That’s what I want to know.
Someone said it was 10 feet. But they said digging 6 foot or over wasn't safe.
@German shepherd dog Well when I went to the beach as a teenager and got bored, my friends and I would practice math drills and learn world capitals. We were never bored.
@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa1 I kissed your mom.🤮
My heart goes out to the young lady and her family. My daughter and granddaughters were just at a New Jersey shore the last 3 days, one of which is also graduating teenager. I can't even imagine!!!
Thats sad but shows how everything around us is slowly changing in some ways. Never knowing where a spot can cave in or a bridge coming down. It`s like the pipes we have underground for so many years just giving out too. As everything will need some repairs in someways. But when it`s nature like this close to the water it is sad and scary. Prayers to the family
My God, how tragic. I can only imagine...I'm so sorry for the family. May God give them strength to endure this loss. RIP, young man.
I know this is sad ,but why the hell is a brother and sister is digging a hole that deep at a public beach, makes no sense .
Would it make more sense if they dug a hole on private property?
I was wondering the same thing. What was so important for them to dig a hole so deep it became dangerous? 6ft at that..smh
@@devinesunflower1817 you've never digged a hole at the beach? Curiosity.
They were kids playing at the beach
@@JayWalkZ you're funny. A hole is one thing but that was a grave
Rest In Peace, Levi. Sending my deepest condolences to his family. 🕊
How incredibly heart breaking. That poor family went to the beach that day to enjoy their family and they went home absolutely crushed and broken over the loss of one of their chdern. As a parent of 5 kids, I just couldn't imagine.
That's painful ending. My condolences to his family!
I live in Maine. It's heartbreaking to know he was from here. I have gone to the beach in Maine my whole life and never heard of anything like this. They probably hadn't either before traveling to New Jersey. My condolences to the sister and their family. They won't ever be the same after this and vacations will be painful if they ever take one again. I hope they find some way to carry on.
Never been on sand ?
@@alexaecho4273 Never been to Maine? They do have sand beaches all over the place as well.
I once watched a story on a similar incident where there was a person trapped and was actually rescued and barely made it out alive. Hope this raises awareness 🙏
Stupid people being stupid and doing stupid things. Let nature take its course.
This is absolutely heartbreaking 💔 🙏!!! Sending love and prayers to this family. 💜😢
Man..... I love my Sister so much. I can't imagine losing Her. I hope the Sister is recovering.
Heartbreaking 💔. My condolences to the family and friends 🕊
My condolences to his family and friends. Such a tragedy.
I'm 10 And this situation never happened in my city. But..He is so sweet..😢
How tragic. May the boy RIP. Condolences to the family ❤️. Gone way too soon.
for a 18 years old to dig 6 feet hole in sand tells me our education system has failed us
true
O mu god!! My prayers to the family and friends. Im so sorry.
I go to the beach all the time, this is scary and heartbreaking 💔 🙏🏽prayers for the family.
i hope this girl can find some ounce of peace some day :( i don’t know what i would do if my brother died
What a tortuous way to go… I wonder if he could hear the people calling out to him and digging for him? I can’t imagine the fear! Prayers and condolences for the family 💔
def worst way to die
It's not snow sand is different man that shit suffocates you completely in a hurry!! Like immediately! I remember I got buried alive for fun at the beach and I couldn't breath even trying to make a air pocket with my arms and hands he suffered like a MF but it was short lived literally! Probably was dead within minutes. Once panick sets in you flip out then pass out and that's all she wrote but atleast he didn't suffer long
@Olivia lol he wont be there forever. that made me laugh
@@TRVBAL Probably 60 feet deep by now, next week will be about 120 feet or so, they better dig fast to keep up :( On a serious not, R.I.P. to the victim, that's no joke! So Sad.
@@JohnDoe-rx4nt In Quicksand, yes! I think this was probably just regular wet sand though. Very heavy!
Wow I'm from Brick NJ, never heard of this happening I'm so sorry for their loss, bless this family Father he looks like a sweet young man 💙🙌🏻🙏🏻
It’s tragic. I don’t understand how police can just stand around while someone digs a grave on the beach!
Or lifeguard why didnt an adult say something or report them
@@annalewis3356 true, I just commented the same. Just call the cops and ask them to kindly explain to the teens digging that deep is not safe smh 🤦
Poor Luv. I’m so sorry for the family’s loss. 💔💔💔
idk how you don’t think of that before you go that deep
Prayers to the family. Living in New England digging that deep in sand isn’t no different as digging deep into the snow if you grown up in the area you know that collapsing is a big thing happens every year.
My condolences to the family.
Sending prayers to you and your family my heart is broken!
Very sad. You would think at their age they would know how dangerous it was. Now she will carry this memory for her whole life.
They were just spending quality time together as siblings... I don't get a lot of opportunities to do that with my big brother but I can't even imagine losing him while we were supposed to be having fun and making memories together
I can't imagine this my condolences to the family you're in our prayers
So this is also a danger of holes.. wow. That was a deep hole. Hopefully others can learn from this. I can’t imagine what his sister is feeling.
My prayers are with the parents and especially the sister! I hope she can recover from the tragedy. RIP Levi🙏
This is terrible. Condolences to the family.
so where did his body go?? did he get lost completely in the sand or whatv
This is why it’s important to teach kids physics.. especially if they don’t have common sense by the time they’re teens.

@@auroramothergoddess That's right. We Christians do poorly in physics. We believe in a "talking" serpent, and a talking donkey, and a talking burning bush, claiming to be god. We believe sticks that turn into snakes, and manna bread and quail magically falling from the sky to feed Moses and his people who were stumbling around in a small desert for 40 years, and a 600 year old man named Noah, who built an ark and put two, sometimes 7, of each animal on earth on that ark, and a man named Jonah, who spent 3 days and 3 nights inside the belly of a "big fish," and a man named Peter who plucked a coin from the mouth of a fish to pay taxes. A man named "Jesus" who fed THOUSANDS with only a couple of fish and seven loaves of bread, and can walk on water, and turns water into wine. Saints rising from their graves and walking around town, and witches, wizards, demons, angels, and other absurd, magical, and primitive stories. All from a book with NO ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS and nothing signed, and is a copy after copies, translated many times, and written by mostly UNKNOWN authors, who wrote about "Jesus" DECADES AFTER his supposed death. We "Christians" have high standards of evidence for our beliefs because the Bible says so. 🤣
TRUTH
2 in less than a week. A kid in Utah was buried by a hole he dug into a sand dune... basically the same situation...dug a hole in sand, it collapsed trapping him.
Rest In Peace.❤️ My heart goes out to the family.
Was he crushed under the weight? Or suffocated? This is horrible
He dug his own grave. And that just doesn’t sit right in my spirit. Rest up.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Reminds me of the Troy McClure educational classic, Dig Your Own Grave and Save!
Don’t underestimate a 6 foot deep. Even a 3 foot deep hole is more than enough to get stuck
Goshhhh. We have to think deeply. Dry sand will always collapse. Maybe even wet sand. Sorry for his lost
Daaaaamn, that is just unbelievable. My condolences to the sister. Omg...
