“Needle was too small to be a proper sword, it was hardly more than a toy. She’d been a stupid little girl when Jon had it made for her. “It’s just a sword,” she said, aloud this time . . . . . . but it wasn’t. Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell’s grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan’s stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. Needle was Jon Snow’s smile. He used to mess my hair and call me “little sister,” she remembered, and suddenly there were tears in her eyes.” one of my favorite chapters!
Bliss is truly a child of Winter now. At the start of the series she winced at the sight of a beheading. Now she's like , "Bring it on" HA HAppy, Happy Joy Joy. Happy Happy. This is what Game of THrones will do to you. JUST PRECIOUS.
As we watch JOn rise to be a commander I think of his approach when contrasted with Rob. ------ Jon had a much more gruesome and slower path to leardership, so he knows the price of mistakes. Plus he has learned from the mistakes of other like Commander Mormont. Jon takes a much different approach to leardership than Rob. ----- Look at what JOn has been through seeing the Whight Walkers, joining the wildlings, climbing the wall, taking 3 arrows from Egret, fighting off Mance raid to his near death. Rob was given an army but didn't fight up the ranks with them, he didn't get bloody from his battles. So he didn't understand his action could turn them against him. ------- Such contrasting styles from Rob and Jon.
Bliss, "Once I locked Trin in a closet, what a trip to Castle Black". You girls kill me every time. As Comodus (Gladiator) once said, "Oh sister, I would not like to be your enemy."
Jon & Arya had such a close bond. There was no way in hell she was letting go of needle! What’s yet to come is so exciting! Arya’s journey & character arch is by far my favorite. She’s such a little badass! She’s the GOAT of the series Imo. So excited for y’all to see what’s coming!! I might just hv to join ur patreon. Love u guys!! ❤
What I loved about Janos’s death was that Jon waited for his last words to be “I’ve always been afraid!” Then, whack! Loved how Jon did as Ned’s bidding: the man who passes the sentence should swing the sword.
Of all the Brothel's to see you here sister is a welcome sight. Yes little finger's establishment is truly a top quality product. What is going on. Cheering at beheadings, Ranking Brothels, Random boobs, Prison guard Mord, sex for love, sex for power, sex for bordom, let me count the ways. ------- I have no words. Bliss is just Gold. Her comments floor me everytime. However Trin's theories of spot on, though Bliss does see pending danger of new characters. ------ Together the pair are truly a deadly combo. Add Matt in the mix and the Killer Bees are formed.
Enjoying the reactions.. Based on book\show clues, although it is a fun theory, I do not believe Syrio and Jaqen H'gar are the same person. I'm not 100% certain on this and I'll give my reasons on why I don't think they are the same once you have gone further into Arya's storyline. Don't want to spoil anytning..someone had asked though, where Jaqen was when he met Arya. He was in the black cells the same time Ned Stark was. Yoren collected him with some others for The Wall. Now that, I think is no coincidence.. more food for thought..xo
Yes Bliss, explain the intricates of girl world. As Cersei plots to take down Queen Margaery from her lofty perch. Oh how I miss "Mean girls". There is no greater bible to understanding women than a good dose of Regina Geroge. LET"S GOOOOOOOO. LOve it!!!!!
i think Littlefinger maybe thought Sansa learned a thing or two from him, and she would take the hint, become Lady of Winterfell, and then WHOOPS Ramsay dies mysteriously and she now rules Winterfell - i dunno that was my original take on why he did it
For some unknown reason, Littlefinger truly knows very little of Ramsay. He was being honest when he said it in this episode. Why he doesn't know is something you have to shake your head at and move on. There is no good reason for it. The smart, calculating Littlefinger from the first few seasons would never marry Sansa to a Bolton. He knows how brutal that family is and wouldn't risk his most significant chest piece being completely out of his control.
@@krayzy932 yeah everything you said is pretty spot-on.. Sansa was his prize - she’s wanted by Cersei and there’s a price on her head, and Littlefinger has her “under his protection” basically - so why the hell would he let her go 😵💫 i guess the writers didn’t think that hard 😂 i just tried to rationalize it in my own head
Jon felt pity for Janos right up until he said he was afraid, then you see Jon’s demeanor instantly change. Courage is being afraid but still going forward. Cowardice is letting that fear rule you. It is interesting that no matter what culture, religion, creed or language you speak, cowardice is universally loathed by every culture since the beginning of time.
I’m wondering how do you explain Jon’s love for Sam? Sam displayed pure cowardice on multiple occasions and even labeled himself a coward early on when he met Jon. Jon pitied and protected him. Based on that I don’t think Jon is repulsed by cowards at all, I think he’s repulsed by villains. Janos was one of the men who betrayed Ned and one of the men who killed Robert’s bastards. He also called Jon a bastard which he hates.
@@realSimoneCherie Fair point. I think because Sam is still honorable, and he did display courage when the white walker attacked him and Gilly, and he also killed a Thenn during the battle for castle black while Janos hid in the larder.
@@ryanhampson673 Jon saw nothing of that (Samuel effin Tarley im talking about). He might have heard about it later but he saw nothing of that so you cant really count that as an explanation to say what you said in my opinion. I believe once Jon heard he was a coward he felt pity, but his decision to kill him was already made when he disobeyed and disrespected his orders in front of everyone. There was literally nothing he could have done to prevent his beheading other than take up a sword and try to fight Jon 1v1.
If Jon didnt kill him then every enemy of Jon in the nights watch would just further their position of how he is weak and not a true a leader. Its like prison, if someone disrespects you in front of others and you do absolutely nothing because you are afraid of the consequences of doing something about it then from now on you are the target and the weak link. Hes new in the position and even though he didnt want it, he is now the leader and now has to lead by example. Lucky for him he had his father Eddard Ned Stark to grow up with and teach him. Others may have let him go and suffered because of it.

Don't feel bad for Janos Slynt he killed a baby in season 2. Also Margery is bold af speaking to Cersei like that 😮😂
