I'm glad you talked about Melisandre, instead of just criticizing how she looked. (That's an actual person's body, and we all come to it if we live long enough.) I hate Melisandre for what she did to Shireen, but this is the moment I came closest to feeling sorry for her. Seeing her tired, defeated, staring at herself and presumably wondering how she could be so wrong about Stannis - it's a moving moment.
I took the Red Woman scene at the end as her doubting her own power... in her own eyes, she's failed. She's misinterpreted signs, including the one she thought she saw Jon fighting at Winterfell in the flames. Now he's dead, and she's doubting herself, her power, and the Lord of Light himself
I almost died from hypothermia a few years ago so re-watching this episode seeing them run through the icy forest and water hits different.. I was 18 and got super drunk, blacked out but apparently I got kicked out from the bar and ended up standing in some parking lot miles away without my jacket or phone. It was like -10c (14f). Never been so cold in my life, I couldn't even move. Last thing I remembered was sitting down in a club talking to some ppl at like 2-3 am and then all of the sudden it was 7am and I was just standing in a linen shirt.. If two nurses didn't walk by on their way to work I think I would have died right there. Being that cold is just unimaginable, you can't even think straight
Sansa, now the titular head of winterfell, mirroring Catelyn from way back in season 2 as she accepts Brienne's pledge was hands down the best part of this episode. You shoulda def kept that part. The fighting before that is inconsequential. Who cares who Podrick is stabbing lmao. It's the part after that, the "you shall always have a place by my hearth.." part that embodies the emotion of the long and harrowing journey of GoT.
The familiar looking Martell sister is Keshia Castle Hughes, one of the youngest people to be nominated for an Oscar (The Whale Rider) and who played Mary in the Nativity Story. She’s been in a lot of stuff but those are her most famous/prominent roles to my memory.
Funnily enough this is the season where I think most of it went to shit. There were a couple of highlights but a good bit of it was disappointing as well. The other seasons were amazing so I'm surprised you feel that way.
@@kecol9930 Funny because people only started saying this after the show was completely over. While it was airing, no one was saying that. People would make fun of the Dorne storyline. That's about it.
I would not say that but it definitely has two of my favorite episodes and not just of this show but easily in top 5 episodes of anything I've ever watched so I completely understand how it could be a person's favorite. I get so annoyed by comments saying that after season 5 the show isn't worth watching.
Jon and Arya have always been my least favourite Starks so his death wasn’t exactly tragic for me. Rickon gets a pass because he’s a child, and Bran is the only fucking disabled character in the history of the fantasy genre who isn’t a dwarf so he’s my favourite.
I'm the opposite - Arya is my favourite Stark, with Jon second. I agree Rickon gets a pass because he's a child, and can't really be assessed. Bran is my least favourite because he's grown so superior and remote. In terms of characters with disabilities, I thought Prince Doran of Dorne was interesting, (and played by the wonderful Alexander Siddig!) - I wish we could have seen more of him.
@@martythetickler I've read a bit of them. Yes, it's a shame the character was cut back in the show, especially when they cast an actor I really like to play him.

She's so old because she's been waiting and waiting for the prince that was promised.
Gonna be a lot of old people waiting for the last books too.

We are seeing her in her most vulnerable state, literally.

“wet walkers” should be the name of the Jon Snow fan club 😂
‘I know what will make me feel better, looking at my own boobs!’
Luke being allergic to old lady flaps though LMFAOoii😂😂
LMAO @ Bliss "Maybe they can put his legs on Bran"
Good to have you guys back ❤
1. "She went splat!" - dark
2. Bliss is obsessed with Pod's rod. She really needs Podrick's podcast.
It was SHADOW baby the the red woman had. A few times she has talked about casting shadows, and we got to see her doing it in s2.
Omg😂😂 she looks like me after nursing
Lol you've guys been watching for like 4 years 😂😂😂😂....glad you're still here
I like the whispering intro 🤣
You guys are just the best. ❤
The Red Woman is around 200 years old.
Aww MJ is getting so big already! So adorable!
This is the season where Game of Thrones seperates itself from every other TV show I have ever seen. Amazing
Funny because this is the season the series actually started to show signs that it's gonna suck so hard in last 2 seasons

Season 6, episodes 9 & 10 were good, and the episode of Jon/ Sansa reunion. Other than that... It wasn't feeling the same.

@@MFBloosh To be honest even in season 5 there are some pretty cringe plots and dialogues. It's where the Two D's started to write freely.
The red lady is a 400 old years.
The yeat between 5x9 and 6x1 was i n t e n s e
Mama juju needs a nap😊
Wet Willy the White Walker
I'm glad Stannis didnt see the last scene
I'm still fucking mad about Jon. I literally don't like anyone aside from tyrion as much.
The best season in my opinion
