She makes it pretty clear in the book that she's suspicious that Jon will "try to take Winterfell" from her children. I recommend Ted Lasso or The Good Place if you haven’t seen them. Both are really funny but also have some real depth to them. Or, for even more depth (and even more funny), I will add Fleabag to that list.
If you guys haven't seen them, I'd highly recommend reacting to "Sons of Anarchy", "Dexter", & "Breaking Bad". These 3 shows are some of the best TV you could ever watch. I really enjoy your reactions, you guys seem like a lovely family. Hello from NYC. 🙂
Don't leave out the fact that Jon would be taking a vow to never hold titles or wear crowns or father children. Sure, he wasn't going to let Robert kill his sister's child, but he also wasn't going to let said child or any of said child's potential descendants try to reclaim the Throne for the Targs in a war against Ned's "brother in all but blood."
Good point. When Jon took his oath, he wouldn't have been able to be prosecuted by King Robert. That's the whole point of Ned allowing Jon to go to the Wall and not fighting it at all, because he knew that Jon would FINALLY be safe at the Wall and the burden of keeping that secret wouldn't really be a Burden anymore, because he'd be able to at least tell Jon about it. Sean Bean did such a good job at portraying someone who is holding a deep seeded secret, too. I know Dan and Dave told him about Jon's parentage, same way J.K. Rowling told Alan Rickman about Snape's story, just so the acting would show through. If the character knows, then the actor has to know in order to portray it properly.
@@jcompton8507 That wasnt the reason, Ned gambled that Robert would have let Jon live at the Wall, as we know he wouldnt have but at the time Ned didnt know that. In the books, the Reed children were raised on the story of "The Knight of the Laughing Tree" and have already told it to Bran, shocked that he had never heard the story before. It's the story of Lyanna's adventures at the Tourney of Harrenhall told as if it's a folk tale. But the Reeds seem to roughly know - or at least have guessed - what event in history that it is referring to...
Hello guys!! I love your reactions videos even if I don't understand everything sometimes (I'm from France) and i'll miss them and you too when GoT will be over. The best TV shows after GoT are The boys and Lost so if you could react to one of them it will be great!! The boys contains so many shocking scenes and Lost' story is so full of mysteries and amazing characters. Shameless and Peaky blinders are also 2 great shows but maybe not to react to. PS:Congratulations to the 3 of you for the baby ,the baby to come and the boyfriend ...
We have enough flash backs in the books that show Lyanna was merely a trophy prize for Robert. They didn't know each other, and Robert was already...Robert. Lyanna wasn't very impressed with him, and she made it clear she wanted out of the betrothal. Ned has a flashback of a conversation where Ned tries to soothe Lyanna by telling her that he thinks Robert will be a good husband. Lyanna basically tells Ned that he's a fool blinded by his friendship and brotherly love for Robert. That she knows Robert already had bastards, and he doesn't care enough about her as an actual person for her to have any hope that he's going to change once they're married. The Reeds also hint to it when they tell Bran the story of "The Knight of the Laughing Tree" in the books, which is the story of the Tourney of Harrenhal told in a form almost like a folk tale.
Dang, I just realized after all these years that Ned is the one who made up the lie that Prince Rhaegar raped and killed Lyanna Stark and he did it to protect Jon. You can see how everyone reacts when Rhaegar is brought up and each character hints in their own way that they knew something was fishy but Ned Stark's honor can't be questioned. Every character's reaction from the start of the series takes on a new light. Like now, Cersei sees Ned as a threat to the throne from the start because she suspects from the rumors that he could be harboring a Targaryen bastard and could use that to his advantage. Everyone alive, and in the know, during Robert's Rebellion probably knew that Lyanna Stark was pregnant. But when Robert wins the throne they all just have to zip it to save themselves and climb the ladder.
I wouldnt put that on Ned. While Ned never refuted the "official" story he never confirmed it either. The whole story is very fishy and its even worse in the books when Ned thinks of Rhaegar and believes he would have been a better King than Robert would have, very weird things to be thinking about the guy who allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered your sister
@@busimagen that makes more sense since the whole reason the conflict started was because Rhaegar and Lyanna eloped together. So the rumor mill probably already started.
so a couple of shows i think would be really fun would either be Supernatural (if you want a longer show). 2 brothers fighting supernatural monsters to protect the normal people. the chemistry between the actors was great, the story was fun and let you speculate a lot on what would happen next, and if you end up not wanting to finish the entire series you can stop at season 5 as that is when the original creator ended the show and stepped away from it so it ties it up well. My other recommendation is It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. one of the best sitcoms of all time in my opinion. its a lot different than what you normally do on this channel but the show is hilarious, the it gets better every season with acting and writing, and it has a pretty loyal fan base so it should get views in as well. If you want 2 serious shows then instead of Its Always Sunny go for Dexter. Crime show with a compelling story and good cast.

@@DavidCarradinesBelt oh I don’t think for a second that Ned bought into the official narrative. But he couldn’t contradict it out loud or that might put Jon at risk. My point was just that people who were inclined to believe the anti-Targaryen propaganda would maybe see Lyanna being kept in a guarded tower as evidence of her being held against her will.
Haunting of Hill House … Only 10 episodes total but top tier for sure!
House of the Dragon the prequel to GOT is a must watch show especially if you love the series.
I think you guys would get a kick out the nostalgia of the 80’s that is STRANGER THINGS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤bonus it’s not a long series to get thru 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Throw up the rest of House of the Dragon!
7:10 Cmon girl, You can't say stuff like this when you've seen the whole show How Impulsive Catelyn Stark Is. Everything Ramped up , The war because of her Impulse and Stupidity with Tyrion , Jamie etc.
Ned did not really Know Catelyn when they Married, They spent 1 day together. She was in Love with Ned's Older brother Brandon who was killed.
It was the Best option to not tell Her or Any other Person and It remain Hidden. Because if It slipped out and Robert Found out , He would come for Jon and Stark House would be Under Threat. Catelyn would probably Confirm Jon's true identity to save her own Children. Ned would have failed to Keep his promise to her sister.
Outlander, Westworld, Chuck
Last Kingdom was a great series :)
The Last Kingdom is incredible
House of the dragon is a must and vikings good also
Vikings. Great show
Historical Fantasy - The Last Kingdom
Science Fiction - Babylon 5, The Expanse, and/or Firefly
Speaking of the show only (not the books).. i believe Benjen knew and Howlend reed was there with Ned that day.
Little finger might suspect it.
Keep in mind the video was made in 2015, so it was only up to season 5, so it might not represent the whole truth, just what a hyped fan thought.
I really enjoy your reactions... My suggestion for your next series would be LOST.
Same. LOST is my favorite TV show, followed by Dark, and then Game of Thrones.
@@Lostmonster DARK is perfection
@@hepunk "It made my brain explode" is the best compliment I can give it. So good!
I love that there's a Starbucks cup in the background
Oh yay, thank you for reacting to this! I was hoping you would.
House of the Dragon seems the logical next show for you guys.
Guy's, Lyanna and Rhaygar loved each other. It is all over the show. There is more to be revealed but that is true.
I recommend Ted Lasso or The Good Place if you haven’t seen them. Both are really funny but also have some real depth to them. Or, for even more depth (and even more funny), I will add Fleabag to that list.
Oh, I second the recommendation of Ted Lasso! I'd love to see you guys react to that.
they literally have breaking bad reactions on this channel. every episode and the movie.
When I watched this the one that I was ashamed of not picking up on was Stannis saying "Perhaps but that's not Ned Starks way"
House of the Dragon!
Ned told Jon he’d tell him about his mother after he took his vows at the nights watch because he knew then that Robert couldn’t touch him.
If Ned would have known Robert was a bad King who delighted over murdering children and doing all the things they rebelled against Aerys for Ned would have probably made a different choice in regards to Jon.
Top shows right now are The Bear and Severance imo. Always love your reactions guys!
Ona day Sean Bean will die truly. If I still would be alive in that day I will weep for him again.
Succession and The Bear
Succession. You will love it.
I love this, but I wish it would’ve been after 7x7.
Thaaanks for this reaction!! 😊
As for next reaction, I guess I assumed they would do House of the Dragon 🙂. But if they want a break from GOT world I understand.. 😘.. what about movies? If this is being considered, I would suggest Jojo Rabbit or Interstellar.. but I'm here for anything!
Baelish's look back at Sansa in the crypt says he knows the real story.....at least Lyanna wasn't "kidnapped & raped"
You guys are missing watching GoT History and Lores.
Ned was so stupid honorable 😭
I vote for The Sandman!
Black Sails
yay!
There Is another Person Who knows the Truth... And Is not Bran ❤
Do you watch House of the Dragon after GOT? Greetings from Germany❤
Lyanna was betrothed to Robert and Rhaegar's actions at the Tournament at Harrenhall was too much for Robert to bare.
I don’t think Ned started the lie
House of the Dragon pleaseee!
so a couple of shows i think would be really fun would either be Supernatural (if you want a longer show).
So jealous to find out Trin has a boyfriend now. Even though I never would have stood a chance. Such disappointment.
