They're using ai/program to match the colors and not hand painted or manually colored.
I love watching them in color, you can see the true colors they have on their skin, makes it that much real.
I'd love to see you colorize the whole show with the same care and taste with which you did this scene.

Superbly done. Very tasteful. Love the way you showed that they did not makeup the actors's hands, just their faces.

@@Garsons-oq4lh Before color film it was common for people to have BW pictures colorized. In modern times shows are routinely retouched to remove blemishes and aging from the film. No shows have been filmed in BW for over 50 years. Colorization does not change the content, it just makes it more attractive to a modern audience. Bewitched seasons 1&2 are colorized. While it's not perfect it's a lot more watchable. I have all three seasons of Gilligan's Island and it was a lot better in color in seasons 1&3. I'd love to see The Twilight Zone in color as well.

Can you compensate their mistake by getting the hands as close as possible to the facial colorization?
You should use the movie "Munster, Go Home" as a color reference. If this was to be shot in color, they most certainly would have used more body make-up.
We'll, seeing as Herman Munster was put together from different cadaver's bodies, why shouldn't his skin on his hands be a different color than the skin on his face?

Marilyn is the member of the family who was born with a defect. That's why they always treat her right, and show love for her.She resembles a normal human. That's her defect. They consider themselves as normal.yet they have no problem communicating with the out side world. US.Thats the comedy of the situation with.Marilyn Munster. She can't get a boy friend because the looks of her family scares them away " The poor thing, too bad she wasn't born like us," The Munster family excuse.Herman, a Frankenstein creation, Lily, a Vampire, Eddie, a boy were wolf, Grandpa , Lily,s father, a Vampire , Marilyn, " Normal human" daughter./ Grand daughter.

Lilly's sister is Marilyn's mom. When Marylin was born her mom tried to eat her and lilly saved her.

I have a little criticism. If you use the movie "Munster, Go Home" as a color reference, Herman's hands and Lily's chest, arms and hands should be the same green as their faces. Having the rest of their skin being flesh colored takes away the illusion, and is not correct.
Thank you. I think you're right and if I were to ever do the whole series, I would give them full makeup. I used the View Master reels as reference for this one because I wanted to see what the show would have looked like if the only difference were color film in the camera. nice but the munsters skin should be completely colored in! they never would have wanted fans to see them in partial makeup
They wouldn't care if the fans liked it or not. Look at the color view master slides of them, it's the same make up and natural skin tone as here. They fans got to see that in the 60s. I like seeing it like that.

It was so lazy of the make-up people to make The Munsters characters blue/green in the face, but their arms and hands are left naturally flesh-colored!
