How did they connect the ledger board to the stucco? I assume they drilled into the studs but what about waterproofing? Doesn’t look like they installed flashing?
Hey Jesse, so unfortunately I didn't film that part but rest assured there's flashing which connects onto the panels and then the wall. The flashing is located above the ledger for these patio covers. The screw holes are also poly sealant filled. Amerimax provides this flashing as well as the polyurethane sealant which is applied as well.
Is there a major heat difference in non insulated? Like can u really feel the difference. I am debating whether to do one insulated or no. Insulated to put a classic car underneath it
I think so, yes. I haven't tested the differences with my thermal camera yet, but I can say you can absolutely "feel' the differences when you're under the different covers.
You can walk on the insulated Aluminum covers. The others like lattice and non insulated you're not suggested to walk on. Although I've seen others do it with plywood, I can't say i'd try it. Wood covers you can walk on with no issues.
The only cover you can walk on is the insulated cover. My guys will walk on the others, lattice and non insulated but only with 3/4" plywood over the top.
Don't know what the purpose of this is; doesn't show how anything is done, no narration, just monkeys in high gear. Can't figure out why in hell it would take 3 days to assemble...the 2 man crew that put my cover up did it in about 3 1/2 hours.
Where's the drainage?

Can you walk on aluminum vs a real wood patio cover?

I think that cover was between 5-6K when it was built.
I think this cover was around $4500 installed.
