Hello Eli, I do appreciate this video. One question on the insulated solid covers. Is there no benefit for heat out here in the desert with an insulated cover? You just mentioned protection from golf balls & I’m sure hail.
If you ever plan on enclosing your patio cover, then an insulated solid cover is a must for keeping your patio cooler. Or if you have walls on 3 sides it will help because you are restricting air flow. But in most applications where your patio cover is attached to the back of your home or freestanding in the backyard, insulated patio cover will not make much difference in temperature.
Hey Eli, I'm the national account manager for Renaissance Patio Products. Would love to show you our product and digital design tool technology. Renaissance is a much better system that Alumawood from a quality and ease of installation standpoint.
Hi Eli, your video is very helpful. I live in Las Vegas, and I am interested in a 10x20’ that mounts to my house. I have done many remodel jobs, and I have built a number of wood patio covers, but never tried aluminum. Is a project like this something you feel I can undertake? Also can you recommend a supplier in my area? Thanks!
Yes, if you are handy with construction projects, you should be able to build your own. There is a supplier (Four Seasons Building Products) up near Nellis.
Very helpful to just get your bearings on the basics and bottom line budgeting. Thank you!!
You're welcome. I'm glad you found this helpful.

Great video but I’m a little naïve to the pricing. Does this include installation or is this just the material?
Yes, the price includes material and installation. We also include a Lifetime Labor warranty on the structures that we build.
Just got my estimate for a 23x11, 3 post, 6 can lights, and outlet for a fan. $9350 I was like whaaaaaat? Guess its not far off.
