I'm think there are two reasons why summer blockbusters not doing hot in the box office is because number one: quantity over quality cause of the month of June, we have back-to-back films like Spider-Verse, Transformers, The Flash, etc, plus is because their films budget is over at 200 million. Also number two: Is because going to the movies are expensive nowadays because you have to pay the tickets (i.e. how many people you going with) and plus you have to pay the snacks or a dinner (and that costly).
I seen so many bad movies that I gave up going. Last movie I saw was in a empty theater even though AMC said it was sold out. I let the flash movie slide a bit but after the Nun 2’s disappointment I’m not going to the movies anymore until they start putting out quality movies. I skipped the exorcist and other movies before that. Im done going and it’s expensive. Sorry this is long I just remember the days when the movies used to be fun. Summer blockbusters was something I always looked forward too. Theaters were packed on Friday nights and I remember being able to sneak into 2 other movies after watching one that I paid for. I come from a single mother living on low-income section 8 housing and we could not do much or buy much. But one of the best experiences my mom ever gave me back in the day was quality time at the movies. We were broke but always had enough for the movies. Now it’s so expensive and the quality is trash. People are tired of the BS. Everything is about profit and not about the love for the art.
Yeah I can agree especially about the profit part it's like they think about how many times can they milk a beloved ip until people will just hate a franchise they use to love altogether

I agree it's way cheaper and more comfortable to wait a couple weeks after it comes out and theaters and rent it from my TV at home!
