Your reaction time was pretty slow. Please be more attentive on the road next time. If you slowed down earlier then uncle could have noticed the brake lights early. Uncle was also at fault here as he didn't apply the brakes on time.

Brakes on 4 wheels in contact with surface is not equal to brakes on two wheels at same speed. Calling aged and late braking blame on the activa fellow is good attempt to limelight blame someone for no ones fault here.
Do test for license plate capture capability of the dash cams at night. For both front and rear camera. Night time video is the weak point in most of them.
