    Wow! What a spectacular mountain range. Thank you for your amazing photography and music and sharing your trip with us again. I was holding my breath when you were on that narrow ledge.
    Fantastic video from start to finish.

    I really enjoyed your video. The drone shots were stunning. I went to Akadake on my early stage of hiking and it was really intimidating. There is no point going to the summit in the rain so you made a good choice. Looking forward for another 百名山 video.

      Thank you for watching! Yeah it’s definitely not an easy one hey! We were quite tired for a couple of days afterwards 😅

    I just found your channel and love all the outdoor content! I'm going to Japan next year from February till the end of April - so not really hiking season, but I still hope to at least travel through the mountains and if the conditions are ok, maybe hike a smaller one.
    Thanks for your beautiful videos! :)

    I’ve just discovered your channel and been binge watching all ur vids. I live in Tohoku but I’m now convinced to live in central Japan. I’m looking forward to your next adventures
    If you ever come to Tohoku please hit me up. I might be able to connect you with one of my hiking UA-camr friends out here :)

      That's a big compliment - thank you so much for watching! Haha there is quite a lot to do in central Japan. We need to get up to Tohoku more though! We did one hike this past winter on Mt. Moriyoshi and that's about it 😅 We'll let you know if we travel up north again!

    Hi guys! How would you recommend completing this hike with public transport? Planning on this hike in mid October

    • @RoyandAimee
      @RoyandAimee  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi there! If you are traveling from Tokyo, you can take the limited express train from Shinjuku Station to Chino Station, which will take just over 2 hours. Then you’ll want to transfer onto the Alpico Kotsu bus, which will take you to Minotoguchi in about 40 minutes. This will add an hour onto the hike each way as you’ll need to walk up from Minotoguchi to the car park at Minoto, which is where we started from in this video. This link is to the bus timetable: www.city.chino.lg.jp/uploaded/attachment/33002.pdf
      You’ll be looking for the 美濃戸口線 starting from 茅野駅 (Chino Station) and getting off at 美濃戸口 (Minotoguchi).

      @@RoyandAimee Thanks so much for this information it’s been really helpful. We are planning on staying in Chino the night before and night after the hike to make the transition a bit easier for us, also leaving our bigger bags at the place.

    Very wise to not continue when you didn't feel comfortable about the conditions! That means you won't be listed in the Darwin Awards for this year (and hopefully, never.) Wonderful cinematography, too!

    • @RoyandAimee
      @RoyandAimee  2 роки тому

      Yeah hopefully never! 😅 But yes glad we made that decision in the end and it was still a rewarding hike. Thanks heaps for watching this one!
