I would never recommend something to you guys that I don't think is awesome. This plug in.....is 100% worth telling you guys about. Haha awesome! I was hoping people would be. I wasn’t sure if peeps would find my 90s New York cop impression lame lol. It definitely will 🙌🏼 Thanks for the feedback Jake!
Another great tutorial, Dylan. You always show something unique in your color grading steps that noone here on UA-cam has ever shown. This tutorial was so in debt when it comes to color finally plug in and I have seen many many. I get caught up in your voice and the way you present the lecture so much that the video finishes so quickly. It was so entertaining and engaging from 1:16 - 1:51 and I laughed so much @ 1:41 😂 I am so excited that you are providing the giveaway to this specific plug-in. Color finally has been on my wish list for a long time now, but just the price has always stopped me from getting it. I have entered the competition and finger crossed I will win one of the two plug-ins provided. Keep up the good work.
Big ups! Thanks for such detailed feedback my dude! I’m stoked to hear you’re enjoying these color grading tutorials so much. Even if you don’t get it, I think it’s well worth the investment if you plan on color grading more. I wish you good luck in the giveaway man!

Stay tuned took two months off to up our game new cameras, lights and audio our cooking FILMS will be FIRE 🔥 THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP with these tutorials. They help a million. Aloha 🤙🏾
Right? I highly recommend. Highly highly. I'm creating an in depth guide on how to use it as we speak. Hopefully that'll make the plug in easier to use for those unsure about some features. Thanks for the support! 😊
Man, no one has persuaded this product better than you do. Now I feel like I want to get one. The thing is, this editing thing is only a hobby and I’m not sure how far I should be investing in it
Nice! It's well worth it Phirumkento. Well, it can still be beneficial for hobby use. Plus it's something you can grow into as you progress as a hobbyist.
Dope! They definitely can seem a tad intimidating so I’m glad I could make you feel more comfortable with using them. Thanks for letting me know ✌🏼 edge mask is awesome huh! My favorite is the HSL mask probably.
@@dylanjohndickerson hey man. Thx for asking. The masks, layers, curves, and tracking is the toughest part to grasp. The main controls are all so intuitive that those things are easy. Hope that helps!
@@armando.visuals You definitely should man. I think it's it well worth it. Hahaha you're telling me. I feel like I'm always pulling out my wallet for more gear. My iphone has a huge green line down it that prevents me from seeing parts of texts/emails and yet I choose to buy random gear instead of getting a usable phone lol.
Color Finale looks like has really improved since its beginnings. I have been using Red Giant's color suite as my go to since FCP 7. Do you have any thoughts on RGCS vs CF2? I'm sure it's a personal thing since both plugins rock. I wondering if there are any significant differences you may notice or if you have used any RG plugins.
Looks really useful. Thank you! I'll look it up, but just in case you know, does Color Finale 2 Pro have to run on the latest macOS/FCPX? I'm still using macOS Mojave and FCPX 10.4.7 (when I tried running the newer OS, it screwed up some of my plugins and projects). Thanks again and be safe!
Hi Dylan, would it be maybe possible to reduce those weird pixels by adding a tracking built in blur and masking it on a talking head? I have some interview footage that probably have the artifacts due to built in color correction tools. Have a wonderful day man!
Ehhh I don't think so, but it's worth a shot Fatih! Maybe try using a gaussian blur and selecting color mask under that blur. That could be a cool little hack. But I don't think it'll work that well. Not to push you to spend money when you don't want to, but the plugin is 50% off right now. I totally get it if you're not interested in picking it up though. And thanks! You have a wonderful day too!
Hey! Well they’re totally different plugins. You should get Color Finale if you’re interested in doing intricate color grading work and mFilmLook to add cinematic elements like chromatic aberration, blur, a letterbox, etc. Some people use mFilmLook to do basic color grade but I don’t think that’s why it’s a great plug-in at all.
I don’t think so! LOG definitely helps with allowing you to obtain the most dynamic range in your shot, but you’ll be just fine tweaking 8 bit color. My older travel films about Sri Lanka and Bolivia were all 8 bit color. The blur feature that I mentioned you could use with HSL masks is really going to help if your colors start to break apart on you.
@@dylanjohndickerson I’m going to check out those travel videos. Thanks again for this tutorial. It really helped demystify Color Finale. I wish the company had deeper tutorials on how to use it.
