    I also like the fact that you address alcohol. I used to like to go out and catch a band which I haven’t done since 11/2017. This was one reason it took me so long to start it, but I’ve not had any motivation to do the things that I once loved to do plus hangovers are the worst especially the older I get lol. I have went out a couple times socially and really watched how much I drank but I didn’t really feel like it affected me in differently other than help me be more aware not to go overboard with it. Thank you again for your videos.

    Thank You for these videos. I started taking 150mg on the 23rd of this month. I went too my doctor seeking medication for self diagnosed ADHD & he disagreed with me. He said I was showing all the signs of depression, I do know the 2 can be related. Your video helped me come to terms & pick up my script after a week. So far I have No Side Effects, but I have noticed a change in my attitude, energy, attention span & temper. I was depressed & unhappy for so long I don't even remember the Real Me 6 years ago. So I'm learning to like the new me.

      I like seeing this because I’ve been holding onto this prescription (150MG SR version) for
      about a year and so scared to start it. I want to use it for depression, anxiety, weight loss and smoking. I have been so concerned about the negative side effects that it's stopped me from wanting to even start it. I am worried about the heightened anxiety (don't think I'd be able to handle that honestly), the headaches, nausea etc. it's
      so hard to know what side effects you'll experience since everyone's different. I'm just so nervous about it. I guess just hoping for some reassurance or to chat with others in the same boat. Thanks💜

    I've struggled with depression as well as anxiety for a good chunk of my life. The one time I attempted a medication, it was Paxil and that was a very, -very- bad experience. It was an in-between existence where I spent a lot of time in the mirror just staring at myself and thinking "this isn't you". Stopping the drug was worse than being on it, but I managed to come off it and decided to try more natural methods of coping. In the past five years, I have been through a pretty traumatic life change, losing someone I love, as well as the life I had built for twelve years. House, car, everything, gone so quickly. Things have been spiraling, despite keeping my "happy face" on. It's five months out from graduating with my BFA that I am struggling with keeping everything together. I'm super emotional, easily irritated, overanalytical, anxious and cynical as F**K and generally just a drag. Today I spoke with my doctor and she prescribed 75mg Bupropion, to be taken once daily for a week and then twice daily for one month. The pills are sitting on my desk and I am nervous as hell about taking one. I plan to start tomorrow morning but the apprehension is weighing on me.

      I did. I'm on week two. I haven't gone up in dosage like my doctor told me... The insomnia is pretty terrible just on 75mg. Other than that... I've noticed a lot of positive changes that outweigh any lingering negatives. My cynicism is almost nonexistent, which is a big deal. I've also noticed that rather than having a thought and stressing about it all day, it's more thought to action. I think it and just do it rather than arguing with myself. All in all, so far so good. I am still pondering taking more than 75mg, but I'm just not sure.

    • @MentallyHellthy
      @MentallyHellthy  7 років тому +1

      Yes, Insomina is crazy for the first 2-4 weeks. You just have to tell your mind to stop and make yourself go to sleep.

    I had the prescription for 3 months before I started it. It has been 4 weeks on 150mgxL and I have no improvements in mood, thoughts of despair/worthlessness, no motivation, no changes in appetite or cigarette cravings. I feel like I am still the often annoyed bitch.
    I too have suffered traumatic, unexpected loss with my sister 5 years ago then my father 1 year ago. I never labeled myself having PTSD however I am now coming to terms with it and it may very well be PTSD after losing my sister very suddenly. she had just turned 30 a day prior when she went into cardiac arrest while her, myself and her bff were at the gym. Myself and her BFF are both cardiac nurses so it has been very difficult for both of us to deal with.
    No one would listen to me! the last Doctor that I tried to explain my severe depression told me “everyone gets this way, this time of year.” Idk if being in the medical field is a blessing or a curse at times.
    I have an appointment for therapy in a couple weeks so crossing my fingers that someone takes me seriously. I know this video is a couple of years old so I hope you are doing well.
