Cora From UA-cam interesting to me that you got off Wellbutrin and are doing well on Prozac. Good for you! ❤️ it feels amazing to really feel the medication working. Prozac was the first antidepressant I ever took and it didn’t do anything for me. Currently on Lexapro and Wellbutrin and I’m doing alright. I’m watching Wellbutrin videos to see if I should ask to increase it... i take both of these because my depression and anxiety go hand in hand as well. Thank you for the video! Really informational and gives me a good idea of what I should ask my doctor about.
After a while prozac does not work. Mine stop working and i was at 60mg.
My advice to someone with any mental illness is to quit drinking. No mental health medicine plays well with alcohol and it is dangerous game. Cutting back is not enough you should not be drinking especially with depression!

I used to drink heavily to escape some of those sad feelings (which of course made it worse the next day so id drink again). So far its been a week of 150mg and the plan is to work up to 450 by the end of the month (I tried this before but wasn’t consistent). Its been a week since I have had a drink and its been hard but I’m both feet in this time. Have been worried about decreased libido and weight loss (i love food lol).Crossing my fingers for positive results!
Wellbutrin absolutely changed my life. I didn’t actually have trouble sleeping. I did help my anxiety quite a bit, I used to have paralyzing anxiety. I DO notice the hair falling out.

I’m on my third week. The first week everything agitated me and I had headaches. Second week no side effects it’s just that my libido enhanced a lot. I’m not to hungry at night like I used to be. Unfortunately I’m still smoking. Hopefully that goes away. As for depression it is actually working.
How do you feel now? Im entering my second week today and i get random headaches, get thirsty and want colder drinks. Im having troubles sleeping but find myself sleepy through out the day but can’t sleep at night. How are you doing now?
Thank you for the insight. I've been on it for a week and I'm feeling... off. Drowsy, weird dreams, lapses of focus/like my body is threatening to fall asleep.

Thank you for your courage and the video. I've taken Wellbutrin for almost 10 yrs now and I've learned how to cope with the anxiety. I did take the generic Prozac at one time. I think that was the best for me. I loved it. The reason I got off of the Prozac and got on Wellbutrin was because of the sexual side effects. I was young and in a serious relationship and later on got married and that just wasn't going to work out :) But now things are different. I am starting allergy testing and I will be taking flying lessons. Wellbutrin will trigger a false positive on allegy testing and the FAA will not authorize your medical if you take Wellbutrin.
bigdan8936 I totally agree, I felt like Cymbalta (a close relative of Prozac) was awesome for me too but man those sexual side effects were just killing me and making me feel less human. So I’m in the process of switching right now, I’m glad to see you had good results, thank you for sharing your story!

I've been on Wellbutrin 300 mg xl for 10 months, I was recently going to stop taking it, but after abruptly stopping I realized my depression is still present. It's this miracle drug that is doing wonders for me!

Wellbutrin almost killed me people ! So surprised this stuff seems to
work well for so many people. After having experienced daily nausea,
strong headaches and persisting nightmares...(didn't experience insomnia
like most people but had horrible, insane dreams that wouldn't allow a
single minute of restful sleep ). Also had horrible mood swings with
nervous laughter mixed with feelings of sadness and tears that I
couldn't control specially in the evening. On top of this my appetite
increased considerably, especially for sweet snacks. I woke up every
night in wet pajamas, feeling SO HOT. Was covered in sweat and woke up
to take cold showers. I craved ice-cream and cold drinks all the time.
Once I woke up in the middle of the night and because I didn't have
anything sweet in the fridge I started chewing ice cubes. Happy to hear it works for some people but based on my experience this stuff is VERY DANGEROUS.

I think you didn’t need dopamine and it overstimulated and caused more cons than benefits for you. Not everyone gets all this stuff and it works wonders for them
I'm actually on the highest dose of 450mg mainly for ADD but I think it helps with depression too. I honestly don't really notice anything from the medicine. one thing I have noticed is I have more endurance when I do physical training, since I am in the military. I notice that I can workout hard for an hour, and I don't get mentally exhausted. I notice more positive effects since I quit alcohol. I think alcohol greatly reduces the effectiveness of the medicine. I noticed since I quit booze that I have less anxiety!

Wow! EVERYTHING you said has happened to me. I'm a guy and the vivid dreams and agitation are real side affects, not just for women lol. I just hope the hair loss thing doesn't happen to me. My sex drive is amped up,and orgasms are more intense, but it may be a thing men experience. Thanks for posting!

Anyone else need MAGNESIUM when taking this? I had magnesium deficiency which caused muscle spasms and insomnia and fatigue so I stopped but started taking magnesium before I stopped and it helped tremendously. I hope to try Bupropion again.
I supplement with Magnesium anyway because modern food has raised us to become deficient in that, iron, vit D and potassium

I just started on this medication. I haven't experienced any side affects yet, luckily. The ones I am most concerned about is increased irritation and anxiety. Honestly, they're two of my biggest hurdles regarding depression already. Im wondering how common these side affects occur. Wellbutrin was a godsend for me the past 3 months, it gave me a life back, I lost 30 pounds, I was social again, took up photography and traveling... however, I suffered with memory loss to the point that i couldn't remember where I was going while driving, or people's names, and reading a book/studying -forget it, I couldn't retain any info. Also hair loss was big...So frustrating! I had to get off of it, been 10 days off and I've gained 5 pounds, I'm so exhausted, had flu like symptoms, and just not as interested in things. But my mental clarity is a little better, nowhere near as sharp as I was before....

I'm 39, also titrating down from 300mg to 225mg Effexor XR, adding in the Bupropion XR 150mg and Levothyroxine 50mcg daily. Nightly regimen for Insomnia is Trazodone 150mg and 1- 2mg Alprazolam . They used to used to also have me on Amitryptilline for sleep as well. I've gotten so sick of all the meds I've been really studying homeopathy and plant medicine. If you have trouble sleeping from antidepressants has your game of life, grab the sublingual melts under tongue melatonin. Highly effective, and I've tried every thing OTC for sleep. As far as hair loss, the combination of an undiagnosed underactive thyroid can cause Depression, Anxiety & Mad Hair Loss. I'd def get checked for that, or if you have, discuss those side effects with yr Docs 💓

I'm now on week 4 of Wellbutrin 150mg XL - last week was HORRIBLE. I was angry, very depressed, anxious, and had no energy whatsoever. Much different than the first two weeks. Thankfully I have mellowed out this week. Not quite as much energy as the first two weeks but much better :). Going to ask about 300mg at my 1 month checkup because ADHD is definitely a problem for me.
I'm glad to hear that some of the side effects disappear or lessen over time. Thank you for the upload and the beer made me laugh 😂.

Yasmin, I took my first 150mg of bupropion xl today. My doctor prescribed this for me due to anxiety. I was on generic Paxil 30mg for almost 5 months and gained weight and decreased sex drive.
My anxiety led to depression. I started exercising lost 30 pounds and ran a marathon. During the training all the feeling left and never came back.😁😊
Exercising helps SO much! Congrats on the marathon!
I never had any issues like that. Was only on it for three or four months low dose.
The whole point i was prescribed wellbutrin was for the weight loss. it is supposed to help me with emotional eating.

0:38 doc should've never given you a 150mg XL solo, that doseage is used when you're taking in tandem with another anti-anxiety or depression med (think SSRI or SNRI) the 300mg is given when you're only taken the wellbutrin solo

This video answers alot of questions. I'm a cancer surviver of 2-1/2 yrs, not fully recovered as of yet from stage 3 lung cancer. I'm on several meds, coumidin to keep blood from clotting, bupropion 300XL for depression plus a couple pain meds. There has been a lot of meds over the last few years associated with the cancer and the treatments. I do have issues with memory and my weight. Now I can talk with my pulmonologist about this and see what he says....

Wellbutrin helped me quit smoking.
I was on Paxil for a year. I halved my dose a couple of months ago, switched to Wellbutrin, and quit Paxil cold turkey. It gave me brain zaps like crazy, but Paxil is the absolute WORST. I'm also on Clonazepam, so I never had to deal with the insomnia issue. Still, I abhor life. There's no pill that's going to change that for me.

Hi I have been taking it with a dose of 150 mg for 13 days. To do this, I sneak out Venlafaxin. I was on 225mg Venlafaxine and have been on 150mg Venla for 13 days now. Side effect I can safely say that I have strange headaches every day and I am easily irritated. I hope the positive effect will come soon since I am now really desperate.
I'm starting my 3rd week. Haven't had any side effects so far other than some headaches but nothing too bad. Im on it to help me quit smoking. My doctor did tell me that this will help u lose weight and that she uses it for ppl wanting to lose weight so that is confusing me on u saying it want. I have noticed I get fuller faster so my appetite and portion size has decreased. As far as smoking I haven't felt any difference yet and still smoke the same amount. So hopefully I see a change in a few weeks.
I agree with you...my doctor actually added Wellbutrin when I complained about Zoloft making me hungry all the time...He said that loss of appetite is common on Wellbutrin...
What about libido is it increased?

Hello, you mentioned switching to 300mg as that dose is good for Adhd - I have been trying different medications and dosages for that the past year to find my right combo. Does bupropion seem to help you for this? I'm on 150mg for a week now, plus Adderall xr 15mg and it's the best combo I've tried yet. Started bupropion for my social anxiety, and only a week in now, I've noticed I'm a lot less self aware at work and more clear headed. Anyways, sorry for long post, and ty!

Everyones different i was on it for about 4 years the first 8 months i lost about 100lbs first month dizzy spells was my side affect, but never hair loss...never seen anything...i also have horrid anxiety i take ativan, but it never made my anxiety worse. I know this med so well.

This medication sounds awful I was taking mine for anxiety but all these terrible side effects especially the first week I’ll have a heart attack if I see a shadow figure and feeling like I have PMS for no reason my mind is racing and I’m not eating right that sounds really unhealthy I’m scared

My anxiety exploded with this medicine. I’m coming off of it now and am struggling with the inability to do anything.
Consider taking it with a low dosis ssri. Talk to your doctors and take care
How long until the hair comes back.
I've been on this drug for around 4 weeks. I feel just as depressed, if not more so, than before I started taking it. It's possible that the antidepressive effects haven't kicked in yet, but at this point that's beside the point.
The problem is this stuff has cranked my anxiety to unreal levels. Everything worries or irritates me. My blood pressure stays high. I seem to get a little relief at night, then it's back into hell first thing next morning.
I just took my last dose today. I'm done with it. (Sigh.) My search for a med that works continues.

@@MentallyHellthy I don't feel more anxious but I feel more depressed, and sadder, like i am crying inside since the past week. My doctor just prescribed me 2.5 mg aripiprazole to counter the effect but I am not really sure if I want to continue with the med. I guess I will give it 2 more weeks to see if ot gets better 😞

It was Vyvanse at the time though, haven't had that in almost a decade thank God but it's the most horrific thing ever like a real life horror movie! A nightmare with your eyes open, but it's not like when you just can't run away in a dream because you're actually looking at reality and can barely breathe or move and are paralyzed with fear. I have seen the shadow figures when I was stone cold sober and wide-awake! These things are real and actually exist! About six years ago I was at work at the fire station when I walked out and watched one of these 7 foot tall shadow figures rocking back-and-forth looking through the passenger side window of our brush truck!!
Yeah the shadow figures are real and nothing to do with the meds if you have shadow figures I suggest you move out of wherever you are living.

Strange, bupropion is marketed under the name Voxra in finland and voxra is used as a weight loss med. Strange as compared to what you said and that the english wikipedia also says that weightloss is small and placebo. I was hoping on having that "side effect" but I've gained weight with voxra. It has helped me with binge-eating though! more noticeably at the beginning.

That's the normal therapeutic dose.
I had horrible side effects from nausea and vomiting to stomach aches. My body did not tolerate this medicine whatsoever.

my FNP increased me from 100 once a day to 150 twice a day and Cora, i thought i was gona die...litterally....after about 3 or 4 of those spells i was told it was "anxiety" so i was like WTF? im already depressed, i dont need to be anxious on top of that and yes....edgy as hell...so i called her, went to see her next day and dropped down to 100 twice per day..much better and i THINK im use to it now to the point i should be able to start determiinnng if it works with me or not....I had massive hairloss last week....oh, no, nevermind...i shaved my head that explains the hair loss....sex drive?...pffffft...whats that? tell ya what....if i find someone who wants to have sex with me, i'll drive.....bahahahaha...good day miss cora

I've been on 150mg XR for 2 weeks, then upped to 300mg XR last week. Since yesterday I get bad cramps in my stomach and annoying pressure on my chest.
I haven't changed anything in my diet so I think it must be side effects. Went to the doc just in case, but everything was fine. I do hope the actual desired effects are going to happen "soon", because I haven't really felt positive things from it since I started. I just feel kinda weird.... pushing throughhh

I usually take it after I ate breakfast, I do tend to eat and drink quite a lot.
Luckily the bad cramps and pressure disappeared, but I still feel bloated every now and then. Do you think its better to take it beforehand or eat less when taking it?
The medicine also doesn't really have a positive effect on my mood swings and anxiety.. I could deal with all that if it actually did something, but its been nearly 3 weeks now. I'm beginning to wonder if its ever going to actually do something, or just cause annoying side-effects :P

I drink coffee all day and still I am still very sleepy, the doctor does not want to prescribe methylphenidate, I ask you since you have more time taking bupropion, it will have more effect if instead of taking it orally I mourn it and inhale it? It's called brain fog. Try taking it at night before bed for a few weeks then switch and make sure you eat with it
I am using wellbutrin xl 150 mg (I will start to use wellbutrin xl 300 mg). I am also using "fish oil" and "Pharmaton (multi vitamin", is there any interaction, or bad thing to use fish oil & pharmaton with wellbutrin? or should i stop using fish oil & pharmaton?

Kerem PARLAKGUMUS vitamins are always good for you, in the right doses of course, I've never heard of a medication that you cannot take natural vitamins on, and if there is a certain medication like that I certainly wouldn't take it. Lol but I take vitamin D3 and fish oil and vitamin e and zinc, I also eat apricot seeds which have vitamin b17 and Wellbutrin.
Quick question does make your stomach feel full? Because I feel extremely full even though I didn't eat much.
I was on Bupropion hcl. Two tablets a day and I had to stop after 2 days. My anxiety was so bad that it was like a constant bombardment of racing thoughts and panic. I was literally getting non-stop suicidal thoughts because of how bad my reaction was. I just needed my brain to shut up. That, and I didn’t eat or sleep for 2 days lol
Yes, I've decided to take my own advice, so I'm doling out a local fav. It's like a band aid made out of TNT, with a little nitro glycerin on the side. So far, havent had a thought of sleeping in over 72 hours.
