There's actually a moment in the game where you're being captured by one of seeds brothers and get an arrow to the knee in the process. A nod to Skyrim.
Alias Ronin THAT'S WHAT I FUCKING SAID TO MYSELF WHEN THAT HAPPENED! I said this to my self "my person can take a million bullets from the head to the toe, but he can't take one arrow to the knee?!? What is this Skyrim?"
Alias Ronin I saw that more of a nod to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, because it happens twice and the first time you're hit in the right thigh, and then the left.
Demon50 you are correct they are called Goliath tigerfish and they can be super aggressive and their teeth im sure could easily steal a humans testicles extremely fast
I love that Ubisoft included the Tremors Easter egg because tremors was an amazing movie that didn't go as big as it should have but it's still really cool that they included it.
Thats not the only reference to tremors in the game. The guy that gives you the jeep with the 50 cal and black n purple paint job in johns region also talks about burt and i think clarifies it is burt gummer a little bit better than the message
*#10* is more likely a reference to the Ringing Rocks outside of Whitehall, Montana which would make more sence than being based off the ones in Pennsylvania!
The Faith phone messages really got me more interested in her character. Before, I thought she was just a girly character without a serious background, but now I will feel a lil bit bad when I liberate her region knowing she once was a serious drug user.. suffering her own mind and feeling wrong in her own skin as Rachel, the character makes sense to embrace Joseph Seeds manipulation, the cocaine chemical tattoo on her arm adds to the character. But the one call in Wenja was pretty crazy if you find the meaning. Still, the easiest way to go through the game is just not cuff Joseph. But I'm already over 1/3 of the way done so no going back now. Also, just a thought, at the start of the game the Pastor, Pilot, and Girl are talking to a camera and questioner like they survived the nukes after the Resist ending, or the Walk Away ending, but the Walk Away one you get the red around your screen and presumably kill the others of law enforcement then return to the fight (or join Joseph but can't know for certain). If that's the case, either main ending you always join Joseph.
I think the interviews are set before the game started. By the start of the game the Seeds had taken over the entire county maybe the interviews were Whitehorse getting statements before he arrested Joseph.
Number 2: there's a history plaque just on the Southwest side of the hotel that explains what killed the 16 people. There was a tremor that ripped a big hole in the mountain next to the hotel and 16 people fell in. The hotel is rebuilt, but they rumor is those people still haunt it.
What always worked for me was after you complete the first mission, just fast travel away, and return to the area around the grimalkin and guy should call you and tell you to come back.
There's another Primal reference, I think. There's a cave just off the road(I think it's west of the trailer park/apple farm area) that references the "Cougars", but has cave paintings and references to saber tooth tigers. There's also a Cheeseburger bobble head.
6:45 VERY deliberate reference; it's a Tesla Coil. Conspiracy theorists will tell you that Nikolai Tesla believed that it was possible to tap unlimited energy from the Earth's magnetic sphere, and that in doing so, would give way to advanced tech like energy weapons, force fields and deep-space travel.
11:24 That crying for some reason sounds like painful crying, not sad crying. More specifically, hunger/stomach pains. (I would know, embarrassingly, as recently I had gas pains so bad they were the first thing to make me cry in a while.) This may imply that someone, possibly Faith/Rachel was locked in this shack and starved, and only being let out (likely by Joseph) to eat at the last minute before starvation, perhaps to brainwash her somewhat into relying on him and seeing him as a protector. I don’t know, that’s just my opinion.
The ending song to the nuclear ending is a Doctor Strangelove referance. How did people miss this! Its like my favorite movie and a freakin classic! Edit: look up the ending to doctor strangelove and youll see
In the helicopter crash at the start of the game there is a police dispatcher on the radio going "Come in... this is Nancy is everything OK?". I think that name is too big a coincidence to not be a deliberate Chase HQ reference.
There's also an Assassin's Creed reference where a random NPC that tells you that you remind him of one of the Medjay from ancient Egypt and then gives you a blessing like one of the many that get said in AC Origins.
If you go to the vehicle car shop, the "1989 Heirach Wonderer", you will find in the description, a Easter egg of a 1980's Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Farlly, " Living in a van down by the river"!
I don't know if it's an Easter egg or not but the Captain Planet drugs episode the drugs called Bliss and I'm thinking it may be a connection with the same drug in Far Cry 5
6:45 . Personally I think coincidence considering that similar electric designs were featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 sidequests near the end of the game and that was based on Thomas Bell, Nicola Tesla and other famous electricians from the 1800-1900s
Well done, did you find the sleeping grizzly Bear yet, he has a hidden cave under a shack in the mountains and the mystery behind the Grandfather who hid the Whisky barrels under water will be revealed inside that cave, you will know you are in the right shak because there is GLOWING Keg of Tapped BEER inside the shack. The location of the shack is above and to the right of the Veterans Hospital. I had Bummer with me at the time and he marked the sleeping Bear so I was able to see him through the mountain. I climbed down to the cave, killed the sleeping Bear and discovered what I think is the answer to where the Grandfather from the Bait shop went to. ALSO look at the other clues in the shack , They also tigh it all together.
Number 10, The Ringing Rocks, are also here in Montana not just Pennsylvania. I've been to them a few times and they're only a few hours away from my current town.
I just looked this up :) formontana.net/ringing.html this is in Montana where you said. I never knew about this, I am from the UK anyway but I find stuff like this interesting theres so much we don't understand about our world
I read that if you hit the rocks they give off a bell like tone - each individual based on their size and shape, they literally sound like they are metal, but the mad thing is that apparently if you take the rock away from that area, it stops doing it.....wow
The car you customized and the way you did the black on yellow paint job is a reference to another Ubisoft game Driver San Francisco, though I'm sure someone already found out about that already.
Larry Parker...Grew up in Los Angeles, in the 80s & 90s. Larry H Parker was a attorney who had MANY commercials. "I'm Larry H Parker, and I will fight for YOU!" Forever burned into my 46 year old brain.
coolbries Ah right, tbf they didn't exactly point out what the reference was. His name was only on screen for a few seconds and they never said that the character's name was the reference or drew any attention to it.
I don't think that was Pennywise laughing on the phone. I think it's before or after you turn on the power for the haunted house, you can see a man looking down at you in the haunted house in the attic before walking away. Once you get in the attic in the same position he was looking down at you from, he has totally disappeared, which means the laughs behind the phone could be him. For the other rotary phones I'm not sure about. I doubt Faith will have any involvement with a serial killer and I doubt the killer or Faith knows the tongue of a ancient cavemen language. I too think the phone calls have nothing in common but they are both separate stories. One is about leaving the past behind and becoming something better for a man who believes the world is ending and the other a crazed murderer taking the advantage to kill and frighten as much as he can before the world burns.
This has nothing to do with the video but when the chosen started to hunt me they always kill them self's its so funny to watch the crash into other planes and there friends.
Listen! LISTEN! I'm SO sorry Ian, of COURSE you're the toughest member of Team Eurogamer, of COURSE you are. SO rugged, SO tough, SO butch! There there, feeling better now? :)
Inside the Blood Dragon Area, has a Skeleton of a Enormous Reptile laying on Purple Eggs. It is The Same looking Skeleton, "but much smaller" in a Waterfall Cave in FarCry Primal.
One of the people for hire it's a girl to be exact. I believe her name is Olivia. When she gets in a vehicle with you she says "Transform and roll out." Loved the Optimus Prime reference.
I dont think it's an Easter egg, per se, but my favorite reference in the game is when you meet Hurk Jr. and he mentions one of his favorite shows, "entoridge."
I think the Jess Black character is an homage of sorts to the movie Scarface, which set a record at the time for the number of F-bombs dropped in a film, and Jess can hardly get through a sentence without dropping at least one. She has a lot of scars on her face, and the game is set in (Tony) Montana. She also refers to Peaches as a "nice pussy", has probably eaten cougar meat, and so therefore she literally could have gotten those scars "eating pussy".
I also found a Easter egg, i dont know how common it is but one of my guns for hire said this line randomly, "that clown was right, if your good at something never do it for free." Witch is a reference to the movie batman the the dark knight, when joker says that in the movie to somebody.
The leviathan is a reference to Subnatica. For how the leviathan was a big fish in Subnatica also from the terrifying size and looks that's where it got the name "Leviathan".
you completely forgot!: if you go back to joseph's compound in-game, you will see the crashed helicopter with a note inside at the start of the trail (to find it, just trace your way back from the trailer)
Not sure if this happened to anyone else. I decided that I’d run into the teleporter after it was activated and I got a glimpse at some freaky alien. Does this happen if you don’t go into the teleporter?
A couple additions/comments... In vehicle customization you missed the description of the van that says something similar to "good for living in down by the river" which is an obvious reference to Chris Farley's SNL character Matt Foley, who is famous for the line "I live in a van down by the river!" Also, the fish known as The Leviathan is a reference to the actual mythical sea creature of the same name. Also, #4 doesn't really reference the cult leader Jim Jones, aside from having the same name, which is most likely just coincidence. Both first and last names are VERY common names. Just some thoughts.
Wait. The phone call at the graveyard sounds a lot like dialogue from a horror pc game involving a mother losing her kid at a theme park. Could it be a reference to them?
If you look at the van in FC5 it says perfect for driving down by the river, this is a reference to the well known quote from Saturday Night Lives short " Live in a van down by the river." I found this very soon and I found it very funny.
Number 7, the crying voicemail, is based on the girl from the call "i love you and i miss you..." which proceeds in crying sounding like a whales mating call
The overarching story is very close to the real attempted cult takeover of Wasco County, Oregon by the Rajneeshpuram cult. I played FC just weeks after watching the docu-series about the Rajneeshies and the similarities are unreal.
I FOUND A EASTER EGG! When you have Adelaide Drubman let her land and drive her Tulip and she will say "PUNCH IT CHEWIE"
There's actually a moment in the game where you're being captured by one of seeds brothers and get an arrow to the knee in the process. A nod to Skyrim.
Its through the upper thigh
Really
Alias Ronin THAT'S WHAT I FUCKING SAID TO MYSELF WHEN THAT HAPPENED! I said this to my self "my person can take a million bullets from the head to the toe, but he can't take one arrow to the knee?!? What is this Skyrim?"
Alias Ronin yes a very big nod
Alias Ronin I saw that more of a nod to Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, because it happens twice and the first time you're hit in the right thigh, and then the left.
The rotary phone messages are a bliss hallucination, none of them are connected to phone lines
Cause the cut them all right cause in the beginning in the heli they say all communication is cut right
Yeah but they still maybe hold messages from the past and there are other phones in other regions before yo go into the bliss
@@baileyharris9172 Messages from the past? I do not think rotary phones can do that. Have you ever even used one?
That is just stupid.
Recordings are a thing?
why would cutting the phone lines delete the messages from the phone? all you need is power to the phone to hear the messages recorded ages ago...
12:27 faith said she left rachel there crying in the darkness so that can tell you who was crying
I found a paper talking about gay frogs and frog orgys from chemicals in the water lol, I'm almost positive they are making fun of Alex Jones.
Where was it located?
So literally they made the frogs gay.
CJT Cozmic37 I can't remember man I took a sceenshot, I remember it was on of the bunker. Prepper stashes
So a prepper stash? Do you remember what region it was in?
Faiths region
Guys name is dean
Eurogamer: its a farcry 3 blood dragon reference
Me: or Mabey the damn guys name is Dean damnit
Like "Jim Jones"
Like, yeah, that's clearly a reference and not two common names that were procedually generated
It makes sense but sure.
Mabey
The Leviathan wasn’t just a bitefish from FCP, it is also a Demon Fish from FC4
Minifridge that what i wanted to say
Minifridge good thing am not the only one that knows that
Minifridge
Yep, I think in real life the fish is called a “tiger fish”, they look like they could remove your balls in one swift bite.
Demon50 you are correct they are called Goliath tigerfish and they can be super aggressive and their teeth im sure could easily steal a humans testicles extremely fast
Minifridge its from farcry 4 yes
In the Lost on Mars DLC, Hurk explains the alien fighting tactics by comparing them to the graboids from Tremors.
The yellow car with black stripes decal named stinger is a reference to bumblebee the transformer. Bees have stingers
If you said like this, i can also say it a reference to the Bee Movie
i was playing with headphones. and when joseph seed said "no one will come to save you" i got chills
I'm finding it hard to even get into the game...One to many far cry's I guess.
I love that Ubisoft included the Tremors Easter egg because tremors was an amazing movie that didn't go as big as it should have but it's still really cool that they included it.
It IS a lovely white dress!
I want a dress like it tbh
I hate this because it makes me want to watch Tremors for the third time within a one year span
Thanks, now I want to rewatch this trash classic too. ;)
i watched all 6 of them again last week lol love the original though! what a classic
Why does bow adams look and sound like steve-o? XD
I watched the same movie five times
In one week
Help
Thats not the only reference to tremors in the game. The guy that gives you the jeep with the 50 cal and black n purple paint job in johns region also talks about burt and i think clarifies it is burt gummer a little bit better than the message
*#10* is more likely a reference to the Ringing Rocks outside of Whitehall, Montana which would make more sence than being based off the ones in Pennsylvania!
MASTER GAMER895 Haha thanks man, I came here to say that too but looks like I’m a year late!
The first rotary phone is a IT refrence hint the red balloon...
VividRito there's also a stormwater drain with a red balloon outside it in the game
Yeah, that one is clearly rigged up as part of the haunted house.
The rest, though? They're creepy.
The Faith phone messages really got me more interested in her character. The Prestige is one of the best movies ever made
Number 7 with that laughing creeped me the hell out the first time I heard it. It still bums me out that you couldn't atleast try and save Faith
Right she was the only one I didnt kill until i had to to progress to to beat the game
I know right I would have saved her because out of all of them faith is the one I most regret killing
@@hondacivic199091 ya'll people just want to not kill her for her bully story right? because she is bullied she is GOD

Tremors was favorite childhood movie so im happy that this is in the game.
there is another reference to it in the mars dlc so the phone message from burt is no coincidence
The rotory phones could be Racheals key moments in transforming into faith
Going to the cache with the quest "long range lockpick" and manage to jump on top of the chimney, you can look down and find a mannequin head.
11:14 my grandpas old car sounds like this....
I Love Faith
But
Drugs
Out of all the seed family I really hated killed faith
Mas Ter Faith is a drug and a woman 🙄🤔
The drugs just make it better
That prestige one is a realy random one but I love that film so I don't care.
for some reason the second half of the blood dragon mission never unlocked for me
also good to see im not the only one who got the tremors reference
Yeah I had that to but when I first started the game it let me go inside the guy marvel cave area but now it won't weird

13:39 what about Farcry 4 and it’s Demonfish
If you stand in the teleporter during the final mission at Parker labs, when it activates it gives you a sneak peak of the Mars dlc ;)

This has nothing to do with the video but when the chosen started to hunt me they always kill them self's its so funny to watch the crash into other planes and there friends.
