What he was doing with the handicapped joke is what many people failed to realize he was *trying* to do with the trans jokes in the first place: He's taking a group and inviting them to the cool kids table where we all understand we make fun of eachother here, because that actually makes us equals.
I don't think this was Dave's funniest special, just because there were a lot of parts where he was serious, but in my opinion it's one of his best from a substantive point of view, it's really sincere and you get the feeling he's just talking to the audience like it's a big group of friends. He's really tied his craft all together, it's pretty amazing to watch.

Got a chance to watch this last week, Dave is still one of the best out there and he's not afraid to cross that line, similar to Burr. If anyone out there hasn't seen it yet, definitely watch it, it's worth your time.

I sincerely believe that comedy plays an important role in society and allows us to look at and speak about topics that are not always easy to speak about, and call out problems that need to be addressed within communities.

Not his best joke, but definitely more than what people think he's saying... I study this man... I've yet to see the whole special, maybe today...
It's not beyond Chapelle to construct a joke that can be reversed engineered, It's not a tool he lacks... I like it... 4 out of his 5 were 10/10 imo and the Closer was good, but meant to be a message, so he took a little heat off the jokes I feel...
