I would recommend the spray for indoors..just seems the scent would evaporate quickly outdoors..either traps or a real nasty cat for your set up ...good luck
I believe there's a rodent repellent for your car specifically for car parts(not sure what company makes it). It's not this specific product in the video. It would say it on the can. Try to Google it.

The cat wasn't keeping up, we had to go with traps. No more problem!

Can you spray this to the engine of the car?
I don't know, but I'd be cautious with anything not meant to be sprayed onto an engine.

Where you live you must have mountain mice😂😂
We're in the mountains above Santa Barbara. We did have mountain mice but the neighbor's cat took care of them for us.
Put 100 sticky traps and get em all in a day
