Hi, I’m trying to find a good setting to start out with on controller. Do you have any settings you recommend because I struggle a lot with steering around corners
If the car feels a bit too twitchy with steering response lower the controller sensitivity. If you feel the car is too lazy with steering response. Raise controller sensitivity.
TCS, even at 1, is much slower than 0. TCS is way more intrusive than in GT Sport. Even if you wheel spin badly with TCS at 0, it's still faster than any amount of TCS most of the time.
Been using TCS 0 and counter steer assist on weak. TCS neuters a cars potential far more now than it ever has before. Counter steer assist has saved me from random slip oversteer even when TCS is enabled.
Currently an A+ S and do race IRL. Far too much oversteer, an FR car simply does not respond like this mid corner. Feels almost like a 2 stroke motorcycle highsiding…car feel is reduced
@@Doughtinator pleasure man. It can be fixed and I feel the right balance is somewhere between GT Sport and this. You can usually feel the car before it starts over steering like that. MR cars are even worse
I've been saying that since the hame came out, the oversteer is ridiculous, even without throttle sometimes. The game is also far too sensitive for the extremely tiny range of motion the controllers have, the line between too much and not enough throttle/steering is like trying to walk on piano wire.
The only assist I use is abs. And I'll use TCS in the rain. But if I'm able to tune and the car is a good handling vehicle I'll try to tune well enough for rain. But when you're thrown into a mission or license test just turn TCS on for rain lol.
Over steer is a constant issue for me no matter what I do, and it's only with rwd cars, can someone please tell me how to prevent it, I never had this issue in any gran tursimo

Same I played with cones on sport but I didn’t like the new set up on 7 so I’m learning without guides. I just brake really early, then slowly and slowly brake later and later till I find the best braking point. You’ll also find natural land markers on the map to tell you when to brake the the meter markers or the black square signs you’ll see on some tracks like lago maggiore. It just takes time but I suggest you try the same the brake markers typically make you break very early imo.
Does anyone have a problem with the abs light flashing intermittently even when not braking and driving in gt7? My brake lights are also blinking intermittently when in third person even though there is no brake input indicated
I have noticed the gearbox braking indicator to be inaccurate at times, sometimes so much that you will slam into a wall if you don't brake a second or 2 before it flashes. It is especially noticeable whenever the track conditions change.
i Play whit dual sense also. i use no counter steer as it is bad to use. automatic steer or help only corrects if you turn to little or to much. i use TCS on lvl 1 or 2. track times deep forest between 2.23 and 2.24. not fast i guess but it's ok i only play single player. i just started playing again after absent for years. i mostly play world gt in single player. my fastest time on mount is 2:01 in jag. but great seeing others trying to help whit settings and advice😊

Also doesn't recognise the daily km's I have driven in those events. So I uninstalled GT7, reinstalled, same problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... ?
Countersteering dosent aid against spinning out, what it is is when you turn left or right, countersteering will try to turn the wheel in the opposite direction AFTER you recenter the steering wheel or controller stick to make steering smoother and not so snappy, basically smoothing out your high speed turning from left-right
Have you tested any fanatec wheels or other direct drives? If so what do you feel is a better purchase? I got the game few days ago ... Def want a wheel
TCS always off for FWD and AWD for me in this game. TCS set to 1 for RWD. Trying to do RWD without traction on with a controller is damn near impossible.
I feel like they need to recalibrate the brakes, barely stepping on the pedal fully locks them with tons of travel still left in the pedal. Then maybe we can turn ABS back off.
Can anyone help me up to the races when you use fuel up after a lap it’s very frustrating and there is no information on this I’m going crazy and have stopped playing gt7 cause I don’t know what to do
On your MFD. the green option is for fuel map. The higher the number the less fuel you use. You do compromise power though. Another tip is to change gear early. That also saves fuel.
I leave the braking and line indicators on it just makes it more fun for me some tracks i am pretty good on with or without but in general they help me judge the speed and helps me focus on driving i take them with a pinch of salt i use them like a guide and once i am used tocthe track 3 or 4 laps in i ignore them and docmy own thing there are some tracks where a certain corner always catches me out again after 3 or 4 laps i just follow the guide roughly and it helps me enjoy the game without having to restart over and over just my personal opinion that in "real" life you have 3 dimensions and the feeling of speed and braking so using this makes it more realistic for your average driver the pure hardcore racers will remember braking points ect i use it the same way and use it how i want to so as long as you dont completely follow it exactly and just find your own way they are worth leaving on and i dont think its cheating at all!
The car tuning is very different, I drive Willow Springs quite frequently and you can take turn 2 pretty fast but I cannot take turn 2 in any rear wheel drive car without the back end trying to come around. If you’re better or have more experience racing, take traction control off, it give more freedom and can help you to get faster laps, 1-3 seconds. And it does make a difference, I recommend to start to play without traction control because you’ll get used to it fastet
Yeah. I agree now. Especially after 1.13 update 👍🏻
Help. At some track, I am using the left right buttons to steer on my steering wheel and at some corners for some car, the driver would not steer even I press the left or right button. Or the driver steer at 5 deg, until I hit a wall or put some gas before the driver wakes up and turn at higher degree. Help
Surely the wheel controls the steering not buttons?
hello to have the steering of the g29 softer, the force return sensitivity must be at maximum or minimum? while the torque return of force to the maximum or to the minimum?
Lighter settings would be lower on both settings. Higher numbers is a heavier/tighter feeling.
How did you set your brake an accelerator settings please ?
This is through the options and controller settings in the top left of the world map.

Is there a way to adjust the actual rotational sensitivity? Or is it lo ked at 1:1 steering Rotation? I would prefer to only have to turn my wheel 90 degrees and have it do a full turn in game.
I don’t think there is a way. I think with the wheel it is usually fixed 1:1 ratio.

That is assuming We have very good throttle control. But TCS would give a lot more consistency specially for newer players.
I find TCS to work much better than in GT Sport.
Try it on a controller...
@@Thorocious I am on a controller. Lol
Been using TCS 0 and counter steer assist on weak. TCS neuters a cars potential far more now than it ever has before. Counter steer assist has saved me from random slip oversteer even when TCS is enabled.
Thanks for sharing you findings 👍🏻
Do you know if you can tune the default settings for the G29 on G Hub and have them apply for GT7? I’d like to reduce my time for the wheel to lock.
I don’t know actually. I’ve not tried.
I’d assume no. I think GT7 takes ‘control’ of the wheel settings.
Currently an A+ S and do race IRL. Far too much oversteer, an FR car simply does not respond like this mid corner. Feels almost like a 2 stroke motorcycle highsiding…car feel is reduced
Yeah. A lot of people are finding this too. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator pleasure man. It can be fixed and I feel the right balance is somewhere between GT Sport and this. You can usually feel the car before it starts over steering like that. MR cars are even worse
100% agree with that 👍🏻
I've been saying that since the hame came out, the oversteer is ridiculous, even without throttle sometimes.
It seems GT7 is more like this. Aside from car tuning. I’d add some traction control. Turn down controller sensitivity and see if that helps 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator thanks bro
its not you and its a issue with the game. with any luck they fix it because atm oversteer is waaaaaaaaaaay to extreme and next to impossible to catch and can feel like there is a 100kg wight on the back the car when it starts to slide and pendulum from side to side
@@allanmurray647 I swear can't even go down a incline without the car trying to kill itself, let's hope they do fix it.

Manual and Automatic - There us no difference in a gear change. Only difference that you can manually control a gear on a turn, which obviously giving you some advantage.
Beg to differ, manual is faster if you know which gear to use
@@AndrewCJXing in specific situations, with specific cars, with a specific gearing

Hello,
thank you for all these very complete and interesting explanations, on my side after a few hours of play I had the unpleasant surprise to see that the counter-steering aid was active and once removing it was a completely different driving and mastery of the vehicle I found the gran turismo that I like (I should have seen your video before) on the other hand it is true that the traction control depending on the track or the car has easily risen to 5 me I prefer to force myself to stay between 1 and 3 knowing that I drive with an automatic gearbox because I'm disabled in one hand and I still managed to do the first 3 license in gold, the fourth I can't do IA3 because of the update and the S license I haven't tried it yet I preferred to concentrate on the circuits and make money once I pocketed my supra Gr 4 because I know that like in any gran turismo the money will be rare and hard to win so I race on high speed ring 97 500 cr with the sup ra gr 4 equipped with nitro with a ballast and a power reduction set the ballast to 48 6 94 in the vehicle options and doing a clean race becomes easy to farm the money and buy all the new cars from the dealership before doing the race coffee mode and trigger the second-hand market here is where I am ... good race to all
Thanks for your feedback. Glad to help.

@@Doughtinator ok, ill try uninstalling and reinstalling and tomorrow will let you know

I also used the cone markers on gt sport, missing on gt7 really messing me up atm
Absolutely! 👍🏻
It could be that your controller or pedals is just barely registering a bit of brake input.
Good video, hope to see you on track soon!!😁🙌🏼
See you on the track 👍🏻
I have noticed the gearbox braking indicator to be inaccurate at times, sometimes so much that you will slam into a wall if you don't brake a second or 2 before it flashes. It is especially noticeable whenever the track conditions change.
Yeah. I never trust those things. 👍🏻
Yeah. Unless you have the best brakes out there. Then it seems more accurate.

You can access the menu from ANY Pre driving menu. I just chose TT so I could test easily.
Awesome tips but at the end you mentioned you use a G29. It has so little torque that when you put your levels so low you will miss all the detail on the track and tires

Which is Fastest? Controller or Wheel in Gran Turismo 7
ua-cam.com/video/3KcabFXCfd4/v-deo.html
You can’t adjust wheel rotation as each car matches the real world car. With a wheel you need to be much more active to catch spins and slides. 👍🏻
and you mod your pedal removing the rubber? Mine g29 will arrive tomorrow :)

Thanks David 👍🏻 let me know if this helps.
Trying to do RWD without traction on with a controller is damn near impossible.
tbh the only bad time is rwd in the rain.
I feel like they need to recalibrate the brakes, barely stepping on the pedal fully locks them with tons of travel still left in the pedal. Then maybe we can turn ABS back off.
Very good point!
is it possible to change steering from right to left?

My track car is ~450 wheel HP, rear wheel drive with no TCS and I don't worry about spinning at all on willow springs.
A lot of people are saying this, its great you have real-world experience to compare this to, thanks for sharing.
True man…it feels so un natural. GT sport was the Total opposite with tyres screeching for dear life and combatting under steer which you can definitely feel. These things just bite hard
That car specifically is very stable, I run it with no tc or 1 tc. However, there are some cars out there that I struggle with even at 5 tc and trying to modulate the throttle.

I feel like if you have some weighted/resistance pedals or something on a steering wheel set up it would be better. Just cos most racing cars irl don't have abs and most get through a race with out locking up unless in a risky situation
