Come with us on December 6th for a 15 day LA to Miami aboard the NCL Bliss. It will be our 2 second time for this cruise on the Bliss and our 3rd time through the canal. All this year!! Drinks on me dude.
We did the one way and it was awesome. The only bad part was flying to Anchorage as it took a very long time to get there (left at 9am est and arrived at 9pm Alaska time.) We sailed down to Vancouver. I would go back to Alaska in a hot minute.
I’m in Arlington (between Dallas & Fort Worth). 6th Floor Museum, Bush Library (has a World Trade Center beam on display), Reunion Tower. Take the 30-45 minute drive (or ride the Trinity Railway Express train from Downtown Dallas to Downtown FW) FW to the FW Stockyards a Yellowstone series was filmed there too. Of course there are the stadiums (TX Rangers Baseball & Dallas Cowboys) here in Arlington.
Answer to the Glass QUESTION History, visit the Catalina Island Museum in the new Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner Building in Avalon. There’s a permanent collection showcasing island history, as well as rotating special exhibits, like the Chihuly exhibition (you know, the glass all around Seattle/Tacoma). If you’ve never seen an 18-foot chandelier, now’s the time.
In Dallas, make sure you eat in Deep Ellum. They have every kind of restaurant imaginable, and they are all excellent. My favorites: Pecan Lodge (BBQ) Cane Rosso (Pizza) Twisted Root (Burgers) Pepe's y Mito's (Mex-Tex)
I really enjoyed the Panama Canal cruise, even though we only did a partial transit. The engineering and the history is also amazing. But you’re right Tony, for me also, it’s a one and done. I would encourage everybody to go, however. Unlike Alaska, you can never go to Alaska too many times!
Michael from The Colony in North Texas here. I would love to meet up with you when you are in town. There are some great places to visit here. Here are a dozen to explore: Fort Worth Stock Yards The John Wayne Experience (at the Fort Worth Stock Yards) Meow Wolf at Grapevine Mills Grandscape in The Colony Scheels (at Grandscape) Toilet Seat Museum at the Truck Yard (Across from Grandscape) National Videogame Museum (NVM) in Frisco at The Frisco Center Museum of the American Railroad (located at the same place as the National Videogame Museum) Dallas Museum of Art Klyde Warren Park The Perot Museum (Near the Dallas Museum of Art and Klyde Warren Park) Texas Live! (Nightlife w/Sports) in Arlington
For a good Mom and Pop Tex-Mex, try the Avocado Bomb at Angelina’s in The Colony. It is a deep fried avocado stuffed with your choice of beef, chicken or seafood (my favorite). It comes with sides of rice and chicken tortilla soup.
When you come here to Dallas don't be afraid of the size of the area. Get over to Fort Worth and go to the Stock Yards, then come to Arlington and do the tour of Cowboys stadium and then explore the tunnels under downtown Dallas creepy
Re: Alaska, we've done the typical R/T from Seattle and Vancouver and one way heading to/from Asia. Our next trip starting on Saturday will be a northbound on HAL and southbound on Princess out of Vancouver.
The 6th Floor Museum is fantastic. Travel to Fort Worth and visit the Stockyards. Terry Black’s for bbq! It will be hot so prepare. Depending on how long you’ll be here, check out the concert venues. Always great music around.
The “Jones Act “was for commerce. Cruise ships fall under the “Passenger Vessel Safety Acr” is what applies to Cruise ships. This act was for ferries transporting people from one port to another. This should never have been applied to Cruises because, with very few cruises, you are not traveling from one port to another, as a means of transport. Cruises are for “Pleasure” like a hotel. This SHOULD be repealed.
Would you cruise to the Faroe Islands? They are the halfway point between Iceland and Norway and look amazingly beautiful. The big cruise lines don't go but Viking, Oceania, Cunard, NCL, Azamara do. It looks like your Iceland videos only prettier. I want to go on the cruise that circumnavigates Iceland and the Faroe Islands. I am in the 10-14 day cruise catagory.
Go eat at Babes Chicken house!! Hopefully with someone if you can it is family style dining! You pick your meat and get all the sides and the biscuits are awesome!!
❓❓ why not book with the cruise company? They are easy to work with and they get to know you and can help you with everything. I dont really get the reason of using a 3rd party for any business, not just cruising. I do wonder about actual brick and mortar vs interweb travel agents?
What City in Dallas are you going to be in. I am in the Dallas Area. there is all kinds of things to Do here. I you can get to Ft Worth They have a Cattle Drive Down the Streets every day. Its in the Stockyards. Cool Shopping and stuff there to do.
No one ever mentions that women need your marriage license if you are married, because your birth certificate name will not match your driver's license!!!
When we were booking with Princess Cruise and talked directly to them, they did tell us that we need marriage license if your name is different than your birth certificate - because my daughter-in-law was sailing with just her birth certificate. And even their paperwork said birth certificate and matching ID. There’s so many variables and so many different cruise lines. It’s even hard to know what questions to ask… I guess that’s where a travel agent comes in handy
You can get a direct train from London Waterloo station to Southampton Central station, then a taxi to the cruise terminal. Train takes about one and a half hours, and taxi ride is about 10 - 15 minutes.
You say those people responded to you well you’re not your third generation living in America. let’s see how they would be treated at the Dunvegan Castle that is my clans Scottish castle. And on the day we went to visit in the early 2010s because of my last name and because half people on the wall looks like my father or grandfather I got to sign the clan guest book got to go into the clan sections of the castle and got to see and do stuff, but nobody else did. And I left at the end of the day and I was the one that signed the book for the day and there was hundreds of other people that went somewhere very local somewhere not. so I might be third generation but that’s still my castle and steal my lands lolol
Top man Tony. The love, patience and understanding you have for your wife is amazing.
I hope Jenny starts doing shows with you again :)
Happy Birthday to Tony and Happy Anniversary to Jenny and Tony
Happy Anniversary Tony and Jenny!❤
A great historical visit in Dallas/Fort Woth is the Stockyards. Enjoy!

Dang. We were just on the island and did the golf cart drive around. But didn't go to the museum. Guess thats on the next trip list. 😂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TONY!!!!!
Also, come on the NCL Aqua inaugural cruise next year.

May I suggest you grab a city pass. You can look at it on your phone pick your poison😅
Bucket list - Panama Canal

Would you and Don consider a trip to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland?????? That would be so amazing!
NOT THE JONES ACT! The law that affects cruise ships is the Passenger Vessel Services Act. The Jones Act applies to cargo ships only.

Covid - got it on NCL Greek Isle cruise.
Have you ever gone to Skara Brae, Orkney Islands? I’m on Princess Regal in June and wonder if it’s worth it.
The Dallas Arboretum is beautiful

That’s odd I’ve never had mine and never been asked for it. Maybe I just start packing it, just in case. I’ve been on 7 cruises, 2 different lines.
Put your maiden name as middle name on your license
The Magic for Less is a great agency. They book cruise and are a platinum “ear marked” agency for Disney
Tony, DId you change your microphone setup? I'm hearing some reverberation from the room.
On the recorded videos I use some voice isolation in post.
Have you done a Baltic Sea/Scandinavia cruise?
Love ya, not in the mood today. 🙁
I just hooked up with Team Jenny a couple weeks ago. 😮
Please do the Mediterranean 😍
QUESTION: What's the best way to get from London central to Southampton's
cruise terminal for 3 people?
You can get a direct train from London Waterloo station to Southampton Central station, then a taxi to the cruise terminal. Train takes about one and a half hours, and taxi ride is about 10 - 15 minutes.
@@sallybowman1581 Thanks!
Jones act won't be dropped due to merchant marines

Uh oh, Tony! There's a little more white in the beard these days!!
It’s Santa Claus white if I don’t put any color in it.
