$249,000. This is not a house on a foundation. Take off $100,000 and maybe it’s more realistic. The point of tiny is saving.
Except this is Indigo River. This won’t start falling apart in a few years. This is built well with quality materials. Unfortunately, materials and real work cost.
Pricing in the tiny home market can vary widely based on factors like size, materials, and custom features. Negotiating or exploring other options might make it more accessible.

That price is off the chart rediculous, nice single family homes can be found in every state with owning the land for this.
Of course you can get a “nice single family home” for less because our building practices and materials are crap and will not likely last 50 years, no matter how “exclusive” and expensive they are. I wouldn’t buy a house build past 1940, myself, and would only consider a tiny home built by one of only a very few companies for this reason.
Remember when tiny houses were built as a means to SAVE money? Now they cost as much as or more than traditional housing.

Yes, my 4 bd, 2 ba brick home in Central MN, is now valued at just over $200k. Hardly worth it to even downsize ... won't help me at all. Although it is very nice, there must be a way to make this less of a money hog. Is this built on a movable frame? If so, maybe it would cost less as a simple unmovable tiny home? If not, most people will need to look elsewhere to save money, cuz this ain't it. 😁

PREACH IT! When confronted with the argument that tiny house pricing is out of control and impractical, I love the "tiny house living isn't for everyone" response, which I find to be the 21st century equivalent of Marie Antoinette's "let them eat cake": it's clueless and out of touch.
Meanwhile, homelessness in the US is at an all-time high (as I type this from my sister's living room, which has had to be my home for the past 7 months), so perhaps the wealthy can take a lesson from the homeless and achieve downsizing, sustainability, and mobility nirvana by fitting all of their worldly possessions in a shopping cart that they push from place to place. Talk about reducing your carbon footprint!
My sister’s fresh build 3 bedroom 2 bath home, open floor plan and updated kitchen with an island…….cost 300k. Back and front yard, garage and laundry room………bought two years ago. The price tag doesn’t make sense on these tiny homes.

It's a fashion thing now. So they are charging by the popularity factor these days, not what it actually costs to build them. Completely defeating the purpose of why most people are down sizing these days.

But sustainability goes hand in hand with affordability, and when prices skyrocket to the point that only the top 10% can afford them, they become inefficient, impractical, and unsustainable.

Love the storage and all the head room. Layout is superb. Colors too bright I would get a headache after a while ,love blues and teals etc. But theres just too much of it. Balcony off the bed room is sweet! Sorry got sticker shock at the price

I bought a 6000 sq ft home for under $500,000. Overlooking the beach. 4 years ago. I can’t imagine spending 1/2 that amount on 300+ sq feet. My main closet is bigger than that .
Without a doubt, the most ingenious cleverly designed tiny I have ever seen! Unfortunately I can't afford the price tag but I can see the tremendous amount of design and work that went into this. Just gorgeous. I would buy it in a minute if I could

The mobility aspect of tiny homes is a key feature for many, offering the flexibility to change locations or travel without leaving your home behind.
Of course, if mobility is a priority, one could buy an RV that is much nicer and more luxurious than this tiny house for less money. I saw a 2024 model for $210,000 that has everything this house has, including an outdoor patio, plus an extra half bath, a kitchen island, a garage (it's a toy hauler), a ton of storage, and an actual dining table. And it's 2.5 feet shorter and weighs 1,500 lbs. less than this tiny house. It also has gray and black water tanks, so it's more practical from a mobile standpoint than most (if not all) tiny houses that must always have a sewer hookup when they're mobile. But I understand that for many, pretty outweighs practicality. And it's definitely a pretty house.

I also toured this THOW. It was indeed beautiful. Had some bathroom choices I would not have done but overall it was amazing! And then I saw the sticker “buy it today “ price. Is it really a surprise it’s still not sold? And yes, when you consider the house prices it is 1/2 that but 😱!
I personally am also intrigued by the open layout that connects the living area directly to the kitchen, making it more integrated and functional. However, of course, pricing and aesthetic preferences can vary greatly between individuals. 😊

Hmmm generally, I liked the turquoise on the kitchen cabinetry...all over the house was overkill. I didnt understand the sink on the balcony outside the bedroom? I woukd have utilized that space across from the sofa for more storage and/or a Murphy bed/desk area.

Ok, I've posted enough criticisms - here are my positive comments. First of all, I must say how much I appreciate the format of this video. Thank you for just giving us a visual tour of the home with pleasant music in the background. It was brief but not too brief, and there was no droning on by a salesman about the materials used, no endless hovering over each minute detail. I LOVED that! Other channels that feature tiny houses can definitely take a lesson from you. Well done!
As for the home itself, I love the colors, all the windows, all the natural light, and I especially love the accent tiles used in the kitchen and bathroom. I also love that there is a small outdoor patio; a side bonus is that door to the outside could be very useful as a fire escape in case of fire (heaven forbid). The overall styling of the home is lovely as well. I also appreciate that the bathroom actually has a tub since this home is obviously designed/styled for a family. But for me, I would prefer a walk-in shower to a tub, and I would make the 2nd loft into the master and keep the 1st loft as a guest room. Also, since I'm disabled, I typically don't even look at most tiny houses with lofts, but the stairs seem very doable even for someone like me. Oh, and can we talk about that beautiful iron tree of life piece that's featured on the balcony railing, and then repeated outside on the outdoor patio/balcony as well? Gorgeous. All in all, it's a beautiful house.

Would love to know more about the insulation, heating, and cooling, as well as electric, power, plumbing when not near a hookup, mobility (stability in motion) etc... otherwise this tiny house is a gem, I’d set up the second bedroom as a music studio and third one as more storage. I love it, very cheerful and well appointed for living and comfort.

Thos "tiny" home is twice as large as my 3 bedroom house and its seems ridiculously expensive for what it looks like.

Gorgeous tiny but while it may be worth every penny of the asking price, it's not a great sign for the future of tiny homes. Sadly it seems that tiny homes are being priced quite high the past few years because builders are trying to make them super luxe or investors want to use them for AirBnBs. They have become so popular that people saw an oppertunity to make money and it has driven the prices up across the board. Unfortunately, that means the intended purpose of a tiny house as affordable housing has been set aside in favor of profit.
You bring up a valid concern. While this tiny home is gorgeous, pricing trends in the tiny house market have shifted. It's important to keep the original idea of affordable housing in mind. Hopefully, there will be a balance in the future!
We paid that for A new $ bedroom House with an unfinished Basement! However this is the best Tiny house ever and Aqua is my Favorite color!

The current definition of a tiny house seems to be a place with some sort of composting toilet and a loft bed. The rest of the house can be as big as a ballroom and it’s still classed as “tiny”.
This one, with its spacious layout and multiple bedrooms, is a great example of that shift.

I can buy a 3 bedroom house with a yard for that much where i live. Why are so many tiny home builders completely misunderstanding the point of these homes. They are supposed to be an AFFORDABLE OPTION.

But, the overwhelming colour choice aside, this is exceptional!
I LOVE that the door opens onto a working area of the home, the kitchen, and not in a more private area, the lounge. No foot traffic between sofa and TV. I like the end bar defining where the kitchen ends and lounge begins. The lounge is also a PROPER lounge, and not just a forgotten entryway to the kitchen. I personally would omit the seating bar in front of the lounge window, and make that patio doors instead leading out into my private back garden. All 3 rooms downstairs actually feel like REAL individual rooms which is clever for the space. The two sleeping lofts are well laid out too. Very clever how they used the bookcase to create separate sleeping nooks for children. There's good storage in both lofts too which is excellent. That balcony is a wonderful finishing touch to a really clever and well laid out tiny home.
Unlike others, I think the price is fair for the quality of the home. People seem to think going tiny is about going cheap...no one's stopping you from converting pallets and building a home for free. But this is not pallets is it? For me going tiny means less housework, less clutter, less belongings, less mess, less stress, less maintenance...but I'd still want an exceptional level of comfort, quality and luxury touches. Going smaller could mean the difference between having a home that is small, but beautifully fitted with quality fixtures, flooring and tiles etc....or staying in a big house that you can only afford to decorate on a budget. I know which I'd choose! Quality over quantity any day! I'd happily sell a bigger house and put the money into a smaller home that is stunning and has all the extra touches I couldn't afford before.
If you want a cheaper basic shed, go for it, if money is your only concern. But for someone a bit older like me, not needing as big of a house once kids are grown and certainly sick to death of housework after a lifetime of it, then this is perfection. As I said, not the colour, and I would want a back door added to lead to my garden, but aside from that this layout is brilliant. Probably one of the best I've seen. 😊

It’s gorgeous…not $249K gorgeous. I also have several changes I would make (walk in shower over tub; much larger bathroom vanity; hydraulic lift to the master bed for underneath storage; second loft change for different functions, etc. to name a few).
The point of tiny is not only savings, but functionality with an individual flare while maximizing storage throughout. Additionally, large, spacious decks / outdoor living areas are the second largest draw after savings in tiny living.
Extremely expensive, mass produced, cookie cutter manufactured homes not using repurposed or reusable existing items (i.e., the concern of the tiny movement being green) are the opposite of the entire tiny movement. Literally.
Yes, the decor is absolutely gorgeous as is the decorating both interior and exterior, artisan even. Nowhere near the worth of the sticker price. Thanks for the decorating ideas though!!!

Wow it is beautiful but personally I could never imagine paying 249000 for 399 Square foot that is almost $625 per foot almost 6 times the amount for a foundation built home

0:17-0:33 I'm not an expert, but the sun is shining full-on into that living and kitchen area through those huge windows. 1) Why is the house facing east-west? 2) Why are there no awnings or something to mitigate the sun exposure? I wouldn't pay even $149,000 for this house if my electric bills running that mini-split ductless 24/7 during the summer are eventually going to overpower the price of the house...

Very pretty BUT ridiculously overpriced! And I have to say if you had larger friends and family, they wouldn’t be able to use the toilet in that bathroom.

while everyone else is complaining about the price, my complaint is this isn't a proper tour. Its like going to a website for housing and yeah they show you some pictures but you don't get an actual feel for the place until you get an actual tour. this video would have been 10x better had yall excised the cheesy music and had whomever walked through to get all those pictures just actually take the 8 minutes to just tour the house and explain where everything is and what everything does. i literally had to stop watching cause i knew a minute in this wasn't an actual tour.

I think a lot of people need to update their prices on houses. I live in a crappy little town in Ohio and house down the street which is a one bedroom built for migrant workers in the 40s out of whatever they could find to build a house. One story just sold for. 170,000. Meth lab not included. Totally shit neighborhood sewers don’t work half the time. The water is so dirty from the Spicket that it’s brown. No land with it.
There are no jobs in this area and somebody bought this. So reset your calculators in your brain and whatever you do during this recession don’t take out a loan that’s my old person suggestion to you.

I’ll keep my tiny one bedroom apartment in a 1920’s building at $1200 a month any day over an overpriced manufactured home. This is essentially a single wide trailer. Not worth it and good luck insuring it.
