That is major, but I noticed the ceilings were quite high; I would have made it so the ceiling were lower and perhaps cleared my head by 6 or 8 inches. That would mean less heating costs too. The important thing is to be able to stand up fully.

I think with some tweaks and small changes this floor plan can turn into my favourite one. I would personally prefer to switch the sitting area to the middle and the kitchen to the other end. A kitchen in the middle always spread the smell and make the place busier than it should be. Also push the bathroom area slightly in and make it smaller, that restroom is too big for a tiny house. If the ceilings over the bathroom and sitting area was slightly lower access to the bedrooms would be way easier and no one would have to crouch.
One last thing, those stairs are death traps and there is no reason not to switch with regular ones, which btw can be used as small storage areas as well.
I agree with the stairwell and the living room being the middle and kitchen be where the first entrance end for sound reasons : however the bath/laundry needs to remain the same...These Mother/Daughter team built a practical

Kitchen is probably next to the bathroom/ laundry to share the water tank and not have complicated water pipes to the water tank. They could have two water tanks but that means wasted space with that extra tank when you could do with just one.
I agree but i believe per building code the ceiling in the bathroom must be at least 6’ 4” for at least one bathroom. So i dont know that would be possible. Even extending the towers to be slightly larger would help to open up the opening into the rooms. I agree this one would probably be my favorite changed up some. I would put the kitchen where the living room is. And wrap it around. I also would change the layout of the bathroom and would want a short tub instead of a shower. My focus would be on kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms. I want stand up rooms. Also, i wouldve had the rooftop porch done already. Lol it would be a greenhouse porch for sure. 😅
The steps are a problem. I like the height in the bedrooms but it does look like a loft anymore. I like the stand up loft look.
I would put a railing up to utilize that rooftop space!
This house *really* utilizes the space. And full-sized bedrooms vs. the usual triangle crypts. 👍
Some tiny houses are a lot better than others, this is one of the better ones.
I love your home. Roof deck put railing up. That would look super awesome and be alot safer as well. Also the bedrooms why don't you carve out a better opening to them. Why crawl under a wall when you don't have to. A good header will hold up the roof If that is an issue. The bathroom is huge. With a little remolding you could actually make a small office/ guest room off the bathroom by the back door, or move the potty in between the shower and sink and make that an office. So much could be done. The roof top deck though would be a great add to the home. Put a small coffee and tea station in your room and have coffee on the deck or other drinks. You have enough room to put a small cooler fridge in your room to keep 6 cans if soda or a small milk for coffee. Such and awesome home. I'm jealous.
I like it, the litter box under the stairs is a bad idea actually but I get it. But over time that smell will get into the wood and in the summer, boy does it stink. I know this from an apartment that had a litter box under my stairs to my upstairs apartment, man it was bad as you went up the stairs in the summer. If you do that, you need to vent it out, a small bathroom fan would be great, kinda like those fans above the stove. Other than that it's looks very livable. Nice design. 👍🏼
We haven't had cats in years. I used to bleach clean the litter area every 4-6 weeks. It was under the stairs area. I can still smell the odor faintly. I adore cats. Maybe the newer litter and boxes work better but it just can make such a strong odor for wood and paint.

This house was well thought out with a wonderful normal floor plan. The majority of tiny homes do NOT have a second entrance/exit door. The front entrance having a tiny mudroom begins the return to normalcy of tiny homes'.
Storages to laundry and bathroom is beautiful and efficient.... You and your daughter could patent your floor plans and sell them.... You own a practical beautiful home...

This looks great and is probably perfect for a lot of people. The big deal breaker for me, though is how there's such a small gap from the last step to the tower. At 4:51 when she crawls through, that's something that seems fine, but would actually be quite dangerous for most people.
It's fine for climbing up the stairs, but crawling back down them poses so many unnecessary safety risks. I would definitely end up hurting myself at some point.
Many tiny homes end up in one more or less permanent place, and they should copy your idea of full-height bedrooms with removable walls and roof for moving.
Finally......a tiny house with full size ceilings upstairs. I loved your tiny house. When you move it can it fit under over passes.

Exactly my thoughts. Having seen literally hundreds of TH videos throughout the years, I CA attest that there are many others with significant ceiling heights & better utilized space. Folding the extensions in this home are problems waiting to happen with leaking. Same issues that are seen with RV slide-outs over time.
This is cute though I'm pretty sure I would kill myself on those stairs lol 😆

Clever design. Would have probably frosted that door leading out of the bathroom, wouldn't want someone to walk up to that door while you're using the toilet. And I like that they made the lofts where you can fully stand in them.

One of the very best I’ve seen yet, and I’ve seen many. Her stairs are what I’d already envisioned and would have myself, but with shorter risers due to my physical problems and age, though they “may” take up more space, depending on how they were built. Maybe more vertical, like a ladder, but with storage under every step would work. I also envisioned the under-the-bed storage and tankless water heater. Overall, she has great space-saving ideas. Love the Birch touches, the cat box, the roof access., and the capability to disassemble it for the purpose of moving. A+++ !

Tiny house bed rooms ceiling needs to be high! To have sex in the bed room. I guess most tiny house buyers don't mind not having sex, because just about every tiny house bedroom has low ceilings.

Very clever set up and use of space.
What I would love is this. BUT with a wrap around deck on top and bottom floor so you can walk out from bedroom! I would want a skylight so I would feel connected to the universe at night but that is just me

The good thing bout covid 19 in my country, we get to experience working from home and it’s super convenience. I get to safe some buck for savings, less expenses and parking fees. And I’m able to cook my own food. Im looking forward for this kind of lifestyle. The biggest issue here, the cost to build tiny house even higher than actual landed house. What to do. Anyway got to see u guys do ur tiny house and living in it. I feel bless.

Gorgeous place!! And those bedroom floors 😍 It has many of the amenities I’ve been looking for. My partner has a cat, so that hidden cat box would be amazing for her and keep my pupper out of the kitty litter buffet. 😝 I’ll have to go check out the details.
I must say if I am really going to be building my own home this is the perfect idea I really cannot leave in a loft that is so narrow no matter what all the windows. I will feel claustrophobic I like the way in which you can simply fold and large your inside bedroom when you are stationary.
I imagine it will be harder to get up and down the stairs as you get older. Especially having to duck.

I like the layout…I think the design could be tweaked a bit for more storage space. Brighter colors would give it a more open feel as well.
Thank you for making a mud room most tiny don't have one nor make any space for one. For me I wouldn't want step ups even though they are one step inside I know I would trip or fall all the time. Also the stairs would have to be clear. Otherwise really nice house.

I would really recommend that you don’t film people’s keys or them popping in even the end of their PIN numbers to get into their homes. Yes it’s good for us to see how they would work if we where to get one ourselves, but at the end of the day, it’s a lock, we know how it should work, and if people are going to be continuing to live in these homes you show, it’s just not safe. There are some weirdos out here on the internet who could do some harm with the knowledge of how a key looks or the end of a pin. Now I may just be a paranoid android, but at the end of the day, it’s about their safety, I mean you’re already giving people the layouts of these homes, don’t make it too easy for them.
