LOVE the cabinet for storage!
Thanks! It has been great for protecting this machine in my small shop. Thanks for watching!
Excellent review! The cable management issue on the Y axis is not exclusive to this machine. I had a similar machine that had the same thing. I ended up looping a rubber band around the cables and then around the back leg on that side. It gave it just enough tension to pull it back when not in use and gave slack when needed.
Great idea! Thanks!
Love the video, was wondering how you square up the items to keep text parallel with an edge?
The crosshair feature helps with that. I do have a plan to engrave several squares onto the waste board to help with alignment. I have seen some designed on UA-cam that help in that manner. Thanks for watching!
Love the video.. how fast is this machine do you have rough times it took for different materials
Thanks! I really don't have those times. It is so dependent on what look you are trying to achieve. Lots of trial and error on scrap pieces until you get what you want. Thanks for watching!
Which one do you prefer opt laser or xtool? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one. I have an Xcarve and I like the idea of a larger workspace, but I'm wondering if the power difference between the two is noticeable? Or do you think that's a consideration at all?
Sorry for the delayed response.
I would probably go with the xTool, simply because if the increased power. I am getting ready to do a video for their 40W laser head.
There is an affiliate link in my xTool video description. If you end up getting an xTool, I’d love it if you could use that link! Thanks!
Do they sell an attachment for attaching to mammals? Specifically marine mammals? More specifically Sharks?!?
Hmmm informative. But: I must know, do I need to plug this think into my lpatop/phone in order to get it working? Since my workshop is pretty far from my router and the building itself kinda shields any computers from the Wifi signal. Same with the D1 Pro, is that the same story, or does it have a card reader? I saw a card in the available items for the pro and wonder if that is what it is
Hello, you don’t have to have internet access in order to use the xTool. I use the Lightburn software and it talks directly to the machine. No connection to the internet is needed. Hope this helps.
Thanks for watching!
I am contemplating buying one of these and have a question about Lightburn. It looks similar in format to Autocad, is this correct. Also can you import Autocad designs into Lightburn? Many thanks and a great review. I have seen a few of these.
Hello, thanks for checking out the video. I'm glad you liked it. I don't use Autocad, but I did look at Lightburn and it does list DXF as a file type that can be imported. I also saw a few YT videos showing how to go from Autocad to Lightburn so It seems like it is possible. I'm sorry I cant be much more help.
If you do make a purchase. I'd love it if you used the affiliate link below. It helps support this YT channel. Thanks a lot!
