My uncle served in ww2. He saw battle in Italy. He also saw their dictator hang in the square. Hats off to the greatest generation! Give a vet a hug!

I was there in 1964 and the French took excellent care of the graves. I never saw 1 weed in the cemetery. Thank you French people. I really enjoyed the Country and the people and the food.

The elites they fought and died to protect have gone on to destroy these soldier's homelands and their children's birthright.

The largest military operation in history? 0:15 By what measure?
On 6 June 6 1944, 160,000 allied troops landed on the French coast. There have been at least 7 battles in history where there were a larger number of casualties during battles.

the complexity of the thing makes it the top one military operation ever organized it's not just about sending guys on the beaches: they had to trick the germans with a fake landing, send paras behind the ennemy lines to go for the strategic sites, build big ass floating docks for the ships, knowing Hitler made the Atlantic and north european coasts a stronghold

+Toosin Beymen It's not true at all. Only Verdun is a twice as big as this military operation.
