Brian is on the greatest list as far as I'm concerned. He's one of the very few that actually can get me giggling to the point of not breathing....and he's clean!
Well I think this is as good a place as any to address whether jiggling the handle has an effect.
For some reason I enjoy how they, as Americans, immediately go in the direction of British royalty when imagining the funniest scenario for jiggling the handle.
For Americans, British royalty is the default image of comedic wealth and pomp.

Brian is actually well-respected in the comedy community. Many notable comdians cite him as one of their favorites. I doubt Jerry is doing a full fake on that laugh.
Why won't Americans say 'toilet'? The handle to be jiggled is on the toilet for goodness sake!

Yes, ExEssex, it is weird, that linguistic omission in America. I told an American once I was going to use the toilet and he said, "Whoa, too much information." You have to say bathroom in a residence and restroom in a public building to not get treated like you said you're going to commit murder.
