Hello! Could you help me with my doubt:
Do those trains (ICD, IC, ICE) accept large suitcases (22kg) in second class?
I know you won’t be able to check anything over 50 lbs but if your bag is a reasonable size you can carry it on the train and leave on the luggage racks it should be fine.
1 Suitcase max 85x85x85 cm (33x33x33 inch) and 1 hand luggage. If you like to keep your luggage close to yourself, use the luggage racks above the seats, or put it under your chair. In those cases maximum size is 70x50x30 cm (27.5x19.5x11.8 inch). Criterium: you have to be able to handle your luggage yourself (there is no assistance from personel). Not any mention on weight.
@@HDjeff is 29inches, approx. less than 20kg acceptable?
@giamkaelyn I doubt you’ll have a problem, there is plenty of space but may be helpful to check their policies just in case.
@@HDjeff thx;) btw is DB the best train to take ? Was that a direct route?
I remember Christmas when I worked on a cruise ship. Most of the passengers were Jewish and it was still fun. Anyhow, I lived in the Middle East, and I really enjoyed Ramadan. It has a similar holiday feeling as Christmas, lights everywhere, people are happy, food is fantastic at night, and it lasts one month. Thanks for the upload. I’m going from Mannheim to Amsterdam this Christmas, I only paid just under 2 Euros with the vouchers I had. Thank you for the upload.
That’s awesome, what cruise line did you work for? I’ve noticed many non-Christian nations do a great job celebrating Christmas but I would love to experience Ramadan in the Middle East as well! Enjoy your Christmas in Amsterdam, that’s amazing you’re taking that trip for only €2! I’ll be working on another Amtrak video and an MSC cruise video for the holidays this year. 🎄
Hi, is DB the best train operator? I was looking on various webiste, cannot find one that offer direct route. please share more.
I did not have to switch trains, but this was a couple years ago.
@@HDjeff and it seems is not possible for to purchase the ticket on the day itself from the machine / counter
@giamkaelyn I just searched on raileurope.com and it showed same day ticket available at 18:38 from Amsterdam to Frankfurt direct.
@@HDjeff thx.
Btw any idea if I purchase tickets from the machine on the day itself?
@@HDjeff that helps!! Do I have to reserve seats online separately? For some Asia county Taiwan, seats have to be reserved separately on a different website ☺️
What currency did you use to buy food on board?
I paid with my Amex Platinum card which has no foreign transaction fees, but the local currency is €uros. 💶
In the UK you get free food in first class
Yes I took Eurostar (also on the channel) and got a nice meal for free!
@@HDjeff I can highly recommend LNER first class next time.
@@SeanMidlandstransporthub thanks, I can’t wait to get back to Europe and ride some more trains!
It's not ICE Ie Ze Ee not Aice train
Ice, like ice cream!🍦I’ll do better next time. ✌️
Maybe next time dampen the racket music to an acceptable level? Only here for the info, not the music.
Thanks for your comment! ✌️
