It was way too much because I waited until the last minute, but I took another MSC cruise last week and got it in advance for $180 for 4 nights.

The train doesn’t go from Orlando to Texas unless you stop in Chicago first - wouldn’t have made it in time! Last minute flights right before a hurricane are usually expensive.

Hi Melanie! I’m doing great and hope you are as well, how was your cruise?! I also took another solo cruise last week on MSC, a great deal and I had a lot of fun although they cancelled the private island stop due to the wind which was sad. My dad loved it so much he already brought my mom on two cruises since then, they are big fans of cruising now too!

I’m very much aware of all that and I always give all 10s for the service/crew in the surveys and leave a lot of additional tips. Most of the staff I encounter on every cruise are genuinely very happy and incredibly talented at what they do, they often have had many contracts with the same company. The bar service is important especially when they’re selling $14 cocktails and a very expensive drinks package. I didn’t call out anyone specifically so no one’s job is at jeopardy, it’s really a training issue. I’m always going to give my honest and unbiased opinion. However, when someone entered my room at 5am on MSC I sure did report that to security because that is completely unacceptable.

Yes, you are absolutely right about everything you said! You would have to be crazy to spend that much but some corporations will do it. I almost never buy round trip tickets, for domestic flights in the US one way flights are not marked up. When I fly overseas I’ll often buy a one way flight there which is reasonably priced and use points on the way home. Thanks for your comment!

I’m with you on the pizza and whisky! I think there may be some truth in having more fun for less money, but in my business the cheapest customers are usually the most demanding and difficult to deal with.

Awesome, I’m sailing on the MSC Divina next week and it was even cheaper than this cruise! I’ve also got the inaugural World America booked but may have to postpone that one for a bit.

International airlines are almost always better! Funny enough my last United flight was 10 hours in economy and everything was fantastic, the crew makes all the difference.

I just booked another one and it was even cheaper, $245 including taxes, then you’ll need to budget about $60 for gratuities which are added at the end of the cruise. They have water and juice for free and I believe coffee in the buffet as well. You could get away without spending another dime and have a great cruise for around $300!

I’ve been to cruise from singapore to Malaysia so it’s gonna be my second time but that was with my parents. I’m thinking why spend 4 nights at a hostel that costs 285$ + the food i’ll eat everyday adding to 200$ approx. This cruise will help me explore bahamas that not everybody gets to see. i’m gonna cruise for dec 16th solo for the first time in USA. I’m scared but excited. As a frugal student i think i’ll be good if this is under 300$

Yes the buffet and nice dinners in the main dining room are included. I think you can also have breakfast in the main dining room, also included. They always do a white night which is a lot of fun. I’m sure you’ll have a great time, the private island is also really nice. Let me know how you like it!

I actually didn’t see the buffet at Ocean Cay, there were little food trucks I got food from and it was just basic burgers and fries, etc. All the healthy food I saw was an extra charge. The port area in Nassau isn’t great but my favorite spot is Baha Mar and you can get a day pass to the water park there which is really nice and wasn’t crowded when we were there during summer 2023. I agree with you on the food too, my wife and I even had Indian food at our wedding!

Do it, I’m pretty new to cruising but I love it and got half my family hooked as well. There are even better deals right now, like $260 for a solo cruiser including taxes and port fees next month.

That’s terrible, I flew United economy earlier this month to London, we had the middle seat open and brought our own amenities and 4 rows from the very back it was a better experience than we had in premium economy.

I’m 6’1” so it may be a little tight for your husband but he will be ok! I’d book him the aisle seat if possible.

Round trip rates are reasonable, it’s one way fares from London to the US that are typically insanely priced. Search one way on any major airline from London to NY. I almost never book anything round trip but it doesn’t matter since I always book these flights with points, and recently I also really enjoyed the new upper class on the A330neo (huge improvement) as well as the BA club suites which is my next video. Have fun at WDW, I’ve been more times than I’d like to admit and I still love it! 🤣 🐭 I lived in south Florida when I was young too.

Interesting, most balcony rooms are almost all the same size across cruise brands (except suites of course) except it looks like Disney has slightly bigger rooms.

Great question, I paid for 2 people because it was $99 per person. They’ve made a change recently where they all include the port taxes and fees in the up front price like an airline ticket, but that added about another $110 if I remember correctly.

It’s so true, over time we take a lot of things for granted that are amazing one of a kind experiences for others.

It definitely made it a lot of fun, but we brought so much stuff I’m not sure what we would’ve done if the flight was full. 🤣
