Not once you factor in all the bottled water and Diet Coke. But you’ll get a much better deal if you get the drinks and WiFi when you book.

There was a very diverse group of people on board. I haven’t sailed on Carnival yet but hope to sometime soon.

@@HDjeff I just didn’t notice many at all. A guy did a carnival cruise ship deal video and half or more were black. It just struck me as strange.

Yes I agree it doesn’t compete with flying on longer routes like this, but it is a very different experience and a lot of fun. European trains are generally less but they can get expensive too, especially Eurostar. I didn’t know they used to have TVs, thanks for the comment!

All the west coast routes from Chicago have super liner cars without a toilet in the roomette. The new viewliner II doesn’t have it either, but it’s pretty random whether you can get one of those or the older one.

Not true, MSC upgrade people all the time if you book an unassigned room. There were dozens on this cruise that had the same experience, and they're not "bloggers."

I agree, it is definitely the best value! I can hardly ever sleep on a plane, but a couple years ago I slept for more than half of the world's longest flight and that was wonderful.

Did you not see the white table cloth steak dinner? Amtrak's dining car food is better than I've had on any train in Europe, and 3 meals a day are included for sleeper passengers.

I’m on the new Utopia of the Seas this weekend so im sure there will be plenty of kids on there! 😱 Disney cruise is high on the list!

Ah yes good point, but once you add the Diet Coke and numerous aqua panna bottles of water I came out ahead! They give you the big water bottles too which is really nice.

You are absolutely right! With taxes & port fees it was still only about $80 a night including food and it’s the same price for 2 people since they sell rooms based on double occupancy.

There will likely be similar deals in the future, this was booked last minute for early December which is very much off peak travel season unlike the summer months.

@@HDjeff There are quite a few avgeeks who are fascinated with seat 1A, and I have never been able to get a straight answer as to what is so special about it.

@jamesmoninger1982 I know some airlines reserve it for their top customers, just a little prestige I guess goes along with having the first seat on the plane.

That’s not too far off from mine! I’m usually in a random hotel room heading to Heathrow and it’s a complete mess of stuff everywhere so I can’t seem to make any progress packing, and I have to return the rental car but its already too late for that. 🤣

That sucks about the food but glad you enjoyed it otherwise. Several people have commented on this video that I’m an alcoholic but I was just getting value from the drinks package, people go on cruises to have a good time! 🎉 🥂
