So fun fact, the TF2 Community liked this film, and either the creator or a bunch of modders made a playable Emesis Blue map.
The map was made by a single youtuber named "The Great Blue"
@TheDoc_Khe made it by himself, but the movie creators passed over the props, though some of the props had no texures 😭😭😭

If we take the death in the comics as canon, plus that he had only died once before he shoot himself, then he should still have 7 of his souls and the devil only 2, so he can’t be claimed by the devil until he dies 3 more times.

@@miquelvegamolina9032 as much as i like that explanation, i feel like this isnt exactly following all of the lore, how i see it is theres 2 medics in 1 body. a "red" medic and a "blu" medic. i think red died and his consciousness somehow entered into the blu medic. and if its canon explanations you want, i can explain this theory with a simple cos-medic (badum chh) the second opinion. a wonderful representation of the medics situation.

@@anonymouslucario285 no just that moment. It physically hurt me because she was so distracted by her own singing that she missed one of the best scenes in the movie. Like that was the equivalent of people going to the theater and scrolling on their phone the whole time.
Yeah she missed almost half of the plot twists because she was to busy talking 😢
Also the medic with scratched eyes and the “Its eternity in there” or “I saw the other side” lines are a reference to another Stephen king novel called “The Jaunt”

She missed the entire scene where medic got the call from Scout's voice. The entire important part was missed, not even due to commentary, but purely because she decided to *sing* for a solid twenty seconds instead of watching one of the most important early-on plot points in the entire video.

Edit: And then she paused it in the middle of Archibald's "I think this Valium is--" sentence. She's missing a huge number of major plot points, and is quiet when UNNECESSARY scenes are playing.
Yeah it’s pretty annoying, but react content is either good or shit. There is no in between for this one. She also just over analyzes everything that doesn’t need it, she missed so so much better stuff then what she pointed out.
I checked out some of her other videos and unfortunately almost every reaction you will find comments saying how she either talks over or flat out ignores alot of the points
The EMESIS DIAZEPAM the medic takes at the end of the video is 5 years old which means that it is out of date…that probably means that all the drugs he’s been giving his patients have also been out of date.
Not only was he giving the wrong medication, but he was also giving a 5 years old medication
Btw M(1931) was an actual black and white german movie about a serial killer who’s calling card is the word “M” and the Medic seems to be going with the concept of the Killer from M, also the german movie that scout was watching is the movie “M”.
The thing with Medic coming back from the dead is canon in the lore, he sold his soul to the devil, but he then surgically implanted 8 extra souls to his body (can you guess to whom these souls belonged?).
So when he die he can return as long as he has ownership of more of “his souls” than the devil.
Well, Emesis Blue and the TF2 lore have some big differences, like the fact that TF2 Soldier wasn't even a soldier during WWll, while Emesis Soldier, actually fought during those times
It could perfectly be based on the fact that Medic can't die due to the many souls inside his body, or it could just be due to the Respawn Machine and its multiple errors
well, the soldier did fight in WW2, exept that since we wasn't allowed into any branch of the american military, he just bough himsefl a plane ticket to germany and started killing nazis, way after the war ended.@@deasavv419
This isn't a thing in the Emesis Blue canon. It's more likely due to him dying in proximity to the briefcase, which carries the respawn core.
How does she manage to always pause at the worst possible time and then cut of the best lines in the movie and just not go back.

The tenth class was called the civilian, who would run around the map throwing money everywhere and his only weapon was his cane
The classes model is who Archibald is created from and the class was removed due to being useless in gameplay
Wasn't the civilian originally going to be like the VIP from TFC?
@@Swcher They were planning on bringing back VIP from TFC to TF2, down to one player being chosen to play the Civilian. However, VIP was scrapped because they realized two things 1. The player assigned to play the Civ could throw the match very easily, either out frustration, not being good at the game, or for trolling purposes. And 2. The team assigned to protect the Civ would get very, very angry when the Civ did so much as breath incorrectly. The game mode was scrapped and would later turn into what we now know as payload.
If I remember correctly, the original 10th class was an Operator who would work with supply drops and watch the fights through cams Engis would set up. It was removed due to an overreliance on co-operation (as the whole thing with Team Fortress from the get go is basically multiple Singleplayer games. In other words, Scout doesn't care what Heavy or Engi are doing and they don't care about what Scout is doing. Now Engi and Medic rely on game sense but it really boils down to you just caring about your patient, not the Sniper across the map)
@@intotheindie8821 So I went to check the wiki because I didn’t want to be spreading misinformation and what I found was interesting, while I can’t find info on an operator class the wiki said the “civilian” class model was a basic scout model. I searched for Archibald and a villain wiki confirms that the model was also for the civilian class
My memory of this character was for a video showing a mode for team fortress classic which showed three teams; red, blue, and green and showed the available to play civilian class with the Archibald model

Not really? He just sort of runs through everything that happens without going into the deeper meaning behind everything. It's a fine watch if you had trouble following the surface-level plot, but it doesn't go into the film's deeper themes or meanings.

Also 1:57:50 is a dante’s inferno reference, in this case the choice or risk where you could accept your place in a circle of hell or try side climbing and reach the other end of the bridge where you’ll probably get out of hell to a better place but with the risk that if you fall you will fall the the worst part of hell, the ninth circle probably.
So, on that part where "Is this all in their head" or "Are they all dead" I mean I would say technically, but that they've been brought back to life so many times to the point where they've repeatedly lost themselves before rebuilding themselves to the point where they forgot what and who they were fighting for and now just fight for their respective company for no other reason than to fight. Emesis Blue, though, brings this whole thing to a proper end. The Medic at the end finally moves on with Scout, Spy, and Soldier move on, Pyro moves on, Heavy move on, Engineer moves on, Demoman moves on, and the Sniper moves on. They all move on from their forced resurrections to whatever afterlife they may go to, which considering everything they've done and been put through is probably going to be a purgatory-like existence where they're not at Heaven's Gate but they can make it up there.
i think an important thing to note about when Medic shoots Spy is how it contextualizes Spy's character.
like think about it, why does he ever get angry at anyone in the film? why does he kill Archibald? why does Medic kill him at that point in the speech?
it's because Spy is just as if not more self serving than Archibald. he only gets angry when he's inconvenienced regardless of why it happens and the more he suffers the more he hates those involved. he hated Arch not because Arch was evil or wrong but because he suffered burns and gunshots trying to save him same thing with Soldier and Medic as their tangential relation to the situation granted them part of his hate
Medic seemed to not only want to kill Spy but waited for the moment were Spy laid his true intentions bare, he wanted to use the funeral to announce his promotion and being the speaker he would appear to be the only one to pick for the position. he reaches the heights he wanted, his greed was nearly satisfied... and then he gets knocked down
he also killed archibald because he saw him on the screen on the phone. figuring out that archibald was in hiding. not kidnapped. meaning spy wasted his time and got wounds for nothing.

This film is amazing! I don't know what their budget was (if any) but I would genuinely love to see this on the big screen. It took me 3 rewatches to even come close to fully understanding everything going on, it truly is a masterpiece when it comes to mystery and suspsense.
This fan film is better than all modern horror films. He scares you to the point of goosebumps in places and keeps you in suspense, and at the same time there was not a single jump scare throughout the entire film.
My fucking God it pisses me off when people make reaction videos but proceeds to NOT pay attention to it for incredibly long amounts of time like HOLY SHIT

You know, watching it high wasn't bad, I was hyper focused on the visuals and whats was going on on the screen and I understood the story very well. I was mesmerised and thought, even talked to myself in my mind about it when coming down from said high.
The fact they mentioned time disparity in the beginning was funny.

Red medic sold his team's souls to the devil in exchange for them having immortality, allowing them to endlessly respawn. And he delivered. So as a result, the devil did, too.

It’s funny to watch on how such heart warming people watch the horrors of reality of such fiction of Tf2. It excites me. I hope you are doing well in recovering from the horrors you watched.

This is great because it rewards your audience for paying attention, for enganging with the work they're reacting to.
A really like what they did with soldier in the video, going from a comic-relief character to basically mentally scarred & broken by what he witnessed finally being done to him for so long. It does remind me of the a certain development in the 'patriotic' soldier after going off-shores to war, finally returning a broken mess now that they're no longer fully needed, nor really wanted for that matter.
Soldier at the end of the video no longer has a purpose, his entire life was to be used, abused, and discarded as a weapon. It's all gone now, and soldier just simply cannot forget the memories which he's unintentionally hidden for so long.
I would love a sequel to fortress films, more so following what soldier's life will be after these events.
the wrinkles on scout are part of the official model, you only see them ingame when he raises his brow, Sfm will make them show up automatically if you move the brows passed a certain variable

The lines “It’s eternity in there” and “it’s longer than you think” are from a short Stephen King story from 1981 called “The Jaunt.” It’s actually the main inspiration for Emesis Blue. The only difference is the device. In The Jaunt is a teleportation device instead of a Respawn Machine. But it’s still the same thing basically. It has a disturbing ending to it so I highly recommend reading it!
fun fact to anyone interested: that moment the soldier zombie turns around is a reference to the first zombie you see in the original Resident Evil.

Also, I remember having some really bad gender dysphoria before, and now it is gone. Like, completely gone. And shortly afterward, I developed zero interest in transitioning. The thing is:
Jane’s (soldier) helmet is a symbol of some sort as well. As time goes on, Soldier’s helmet tilts more upward, revealing more of his eyes.
This symbolizes that the more soldier is at Conagher Slaughterhouse, the more aware of the truth he gets. Which shows through how much his eyes are shown.
At the beginning, he was kinda of like the TF2 soldier. Goofy, silly and serious. But we can see his change throughout.
Another Thing..
Soldier at the end removes his helmet, revealing that he is fully aware of the truth.
Referencing back to what I said before, The helmet shows how unaware of the truth he is.
And at the end at 'Julius Archibald’s Funeral', The reason why he stays quiet, is because he has been so mentally broken to the point he can’t even speak.
It explains why he began laughing at said funeral. He also attempted a murder-suicide on Jacques (Spy), showing that even though he is alive..
*Its very clear that he doesn’t want to be.*
Soldier is one of the important characters in this movie, because he shows one of the key elements of ‘unawareness’.
As stated before, he before was so goofy and not as serious. But now we see how much he changed from how he learned the truth.

I think Rocket Jumping came before stairs existed in TF2 canon.
In case you didn't understand, there is a glitch in the respawn machine, so there are times when the mercenaries get stuck there when they die or only parts of them come out,

There’s a theory that when Ludwig becomes “battle medic”, it is the spirit of the tenth class trying to take control.
It is an overall masterpiece with the depicted detail and references to spy`s disguise which was created by the same maker of emesis blue but what is pretty insane and it leaves me dumbfounded is that the trailer for emesis blue was like 6 or 5 years ago.
There was going to be 100 classes, and now we have lost all 90, we are left with 10 classes (class 10 is cancelled by valve)

I have a theory on why one of the conaghers has no eyes and it's quite simple
Respawn machine has a chance to malfunction and cause deformities like the dude at the beginning who's eyes were missing... You catch my drift? I think it's just a respawn defect like the scout monster

it is strange that they aren't being respawned in another location.
Also they left out the Administrator and Ms Pauline
they should have had the Administrator smirking behind the sceens
im not sure of the exact time but 1:18:00 isnt only a shining reference but also a reference to this studios last tf2 movie, being spy's disguise which is quite good too although not as much in my humble opinion
also its not 2 hours explaining the mechanic, its two hours what happens when that mechanic fucks up in this universe
and for the last thing, i really think the analysis from Richter Overtime is quite good for this one, although long it shows a lot of the references that are in and explains quite a few things from the plot. I am not sure if this would be a reaction but even in private I still recommend watching it

I learned that this sfm video has a few references to a few very old movies and very old horror movies.
