    Thanks for this! I've been shaving my face for a few years- there's nothing like the feeling of that smooooth skin! I have mature skin, and before I started shaving, I felt like no makeup, tinted moisturizer, etc. looked good- it all kind of made my skin look worse! Shaving gets rid of the peach fuzz and also exfoliates the dry dead skin cells that take so long to turn over at my age! Great video

    Finally! Someone mentioned the treatment of peach fuzz on the face especially as you hit your 40s, 50s, and up. Strange things happen to hair in general after menopause, and part of my journey was an increase in peach fuzz. For me, I prefer to wash my face as usual (no triple washing for me), and I use a pretty, pink electric shaver. Afterward, I still get to see the fuzz when I clean out my razor. I do use isopropyl alcohol...to clean my shaver. I've not experienced any ingrown hair, and I don't have to spend $ on all those cleansers. Your skin is lovely btw. So's mine =D

    I think the hair grows back myth comes from misunderstanding what happens. Before you shave, you have soft hairs that are thin on the ends. Also, your hairs are different lengths. When you shave, everything is the same length and the hairs are wider with sharp edges. It's understandable that people will say this is more hair because it can feel that way. I think if it were explained this way, people would be able to understand. Just saying "it doesn't" won't make a difference because it contradicts their lived experience.

    It took me some sessions to get the hang of this cause it feels different than shaving legs or ampits and now I see what all the hype is about. My face feels amazing!!! So soft, like it can breathe, looks nice, smooth, and the moisturizer absorbed in better. A nice tingle. Love it. This was the best video I saw on it...followed the steps. Also cleansed my face first more thoroughly than normal. Feel like came from a spa or a facial. Used Walgreens brand of razors that looks just like this called Touch Up Razors. Wow, exfoliation feels great. Makes me wanna try body scrub.

    It’s kind of sad that because of filters and editing in almost every picture everyone takes, people aren’t used to “texture” anymore. And certainly don’t appreciate that “texture” can be normal. I’m in my 30s and finally started “fixing” my skin last year. I dermaplane here and there for exfoliation because I use tret and sometimes the dry skin really sticks.

    The misconception that the hair grows thicker is a funny one. Your hair is tapers before you cut it/shave it but when you cut/shave it you are removing the taper end so the thicker "looking" a.k.a. chopped off part looks thicker but it eventually tapers...so is does not grow back thicker, it only looks thicker for a bit until the tips thins out/tapers naturally.

I stopped getting eyebrow epilation since the pandemic but the hais surrounding it is so fine and pale that I have a hard time removing it with tweezers. My other question is : I have about 15 coarser hair at the bottom of my chin. Years of electrolisis has not stopped them from growing back. Wuld you shave these or keep plucking those one at a time as they regrow ? I am a 46 yo who is discovering that face shaving is even a thing and that you can get special blades for it! Thank you!!

      Because - the hair on the upper lip area grows more dense and thicker than the rest of the face where it's fine and almost unnoticeable. You should completely avoid your upper lip area when shaving. Your experience is completely normal and the solution is to leave the upper lip area completely while shaving the face.

      Shaving does not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. All you're doing when shaving is cutting off the part of the hair that is outside the skin at the time. Cutting your head hair doesn't change it in any way, and it's the same with hair everywhere else on the body.

    • @TheDailyStahrdust
      @TheDailyStahrdust 7 місяців тому +1

      High Frequency Wand uses gas (red) wave or neon (blue) wave electrodes to penetrate the skin. The benefits of gas (red) help stimulate collagen and provide circulation to grow hair, or help with dull stagnant and/or congested skin …and the (blue) neon is best for oily congested skin even with the problematic hormonal cystic acne or bacterial acne…which can heal faster through it’s antimicrobial and/or oxygenating high frequency. I’m a Clinical and Holistic Master Aesthetician/Nutritionist of 28+ years and I use high frequency as a basic staple for nearly all skin types…including Acne Rosacea if used properly and gently. You can use a gauze strip mask or thin gauze 4x4 to serve as a barrier and increase oxygen flow of the high frequency electric current. I encourage everyone I work with to purchase their own high frequency products if they are dealing with any kind of acne. It is a life saver!!!✨

I try not to get directly onto the skin, but leave a very minor amount of hair to where it's still soft and not bald, but my skin care products absorb better and makeup turns out almost flawless after application. lol Hope this helps answer your q.
