don't you worry there is definitely another outlaw movement coming it's just in the shadows waiting for all out war on Nashville, it's small scale now but as soon as we starting busting those doors down it will all change. hank 3, rowdy Johnson band, Dallas Moore, Cody jinks, those poor bastards, lonesome wyatt, shooter Jennings, whey Jennings, are all a part of it and that's just scratching at the surface. it's coming and it may be sooner than you think. corporate Nashville will fall to the hands of true musicians who let music take its own form and don't let "genre's" define who they are.
I can't wait! Anything I can do to quicken the take-over...just let me know. It would be an amazing sight see Nashville return to its roots...and better still with all of those guys reopening the path for up more interesting singers with some lonesome tales to us all. The soul went right out the winder. No one understands me but Hank....and his Grandson gets my anger:) LOL. Thanks for the boost Rich Hope one day we can run into each other on that grand musical revival...revolution day. lol
Amen sister AMEN! Look forward to it I'm just a small town musician who is starting out if you live in the area of central Arizona you might find me playing somewhere lol.
if you don't live nearby my Dad (I'm 17 lol) uploaded a video of me playing working man blue's with the rowdy Johnson band at a bar called the galloping goose (where Waylon Jennings was discovered).
That "hahahaha - hell yeah" part used to be one of my ringtones. Literally put my phone close to the speaker of my family's desktop computer, played this specific video, and recorded that one second or two of this song.
If Waylon Jennings and James Hetfield were friends, I don't see the big problem here. It's common for people to do covers (especially between friends). You can even buy records such as "Diver Down" by Van Halen that are mostly covers. In "Walk the Line," Johnny Cash gave one of his songs to Roy Orbison. Do the covers always sound like the original? No. They usually have a spin by the group that's covering them. If you'd rather hear Waylon Jennings doing these songs, no one is stopping you. And no one is forcing you to listen to James Hetfield.
Read the story about how Metallica's song "Wasting My Hate" was written. Waylon was a good friend of James and a huge influence on him. I can't see how anyone could have a problem with this cover.
WOW!!!!!! Waylon Jennings is like "Yup and there goes that Hetfield boy again" lol. Only James can turn certain songs around lol. He's like Dave Grohl. I want them to team up!
People who say Mustaine is a better guitarist than hetfield ok that's fine, clearly hetfield is all around better musician than mustaine.. This is proof!
Sloppy Joe At the fillmore shows for their 30th anniversary and they got all musicians who were part of tallica in composing the songs, and dave came up to do a few songs, well sadly he sounded just like a regular guitarist and didn't bring any megadeth stamp to add to it.......BUT this Jaymz guy is metallica because he brings the monstrous guitar tone, voice and character to wherever he may roam, hence this show!!!!!!!!!
I like either James Hetfield's playing or Dave Mustaine's, but don't measure anyone's musicianship by playing any cover band. In my opinion Mustaine is better than Hetfield nowadays, due to Megadeth's recent albums that are better than Metallica's latest album and songs..
Hetfield shits all over Mustaine when it comes to rhythm guitar, he isn't really a lead guitarist, but when he does play lead they tasty as all hell. Ask any top metal guitarist who has the most solid right hand they all gonna say Hetfield.
his covers of some songs such as this and turn the page are very respectful to say the least, his own sound but not butchered, very hard to accomplish in my book. My hats off to ya !!!

@@jameshetfield6024 I’m doing well!
He is not playing it because it's a country song he had respect for the toughest country singer of all time Waylon Jennings. James is a fan
Fan and friend.
When Hetfield saved modern country from itself. He and Hank III need to conquer that crappy "industry" music. Poppy hip hop now. REinStAtE HaNk!!!!!!!!!
don't you worry there is definitely another outlaw movement coming it's just in the shadows waiting for all out war on Nashville, it's small scale now but as soon as we starting busting those doors down it will all change. hank 3, rowdy Johnson band, Dallas Moore, Cody jinks, those poor bastards, lonesome wyatt, shooter Jennings, whey Jennings, are all a part of it and that's just scratching at the surface. it's coming and it may be sooner than you think. corporate Nashville will fall to the hands of true musicians who let music take its own form and don't let "genre's" define who they are.
A Hetfield/HankIII show would be mind blowing!
Dude looked pretty maniacal when he said "Hell yeah" before the last chorus.
Amazing! James Hetfield is the man.
and... Bob Rock is doing the bass thing , AGAIN...
i was wondering if that was him!
Bob Rock is god
"Hahaha hell yeah!"
Priceless
(:
There goes James making me love him more and more than I always have! 🥰🤘🏼
Got to love Metal with steel guitar!
Omg he still got it you go boy
Hey🌹all love and how are you doing today?
Got to love how the steel guitar fits into Hetfields version nice melding of two styles.
Wow I just found this today. Fukn wow 🤟
Hell yeah. Johnny Cash and that whole gang of musicians were the "metal heads" of the 50's and 60's. That F you attitude transcends generations.
That still kick's ass!!!!!
WOW!!!!!! Waylon Jennings is like "Yup and there goes that Hetfield boy again" lol. Only James can turn certain songs around lol. He's like Dave Grohl. I want them to team up!
What an awesome tribute, and just goes to show music knows no boundaries
Mind blown!! Metallica doing Waylon Jennings!! and It's pretty good. Nice!!
Just James
A great performance which is still relevant. I’d really like to see a HQ live one.
james sounds really good with a drummer who keeps a regular beat
Yeah and like something 'regular' and predictable and boring are losers like you.
This performance shows why James will forever be my biggest influence on guitar and being just a great frontman in general.
is that bob rock on bass?
And vocals...
Yes, it is
I was asking myself the same question :D
I thought it was an old woman (lol Bob Rock's wanna-be stardom done got out of hand)
Either bob or an old women from Cali ... oh wait same thing
The Bass player...well...h uuhhh.....Rocks.
these guys know good songs
Not Waylon. But damn next best version. James killed it. Great Rick version.
Holy fuckn shit balls...thats awsome!!!! Whoooooo...they even have a steel guitar lol sweet..most country bands dont even know what one is...
OMG, I just found this , this is just so awesome !!
Is there any frontman as epic as James Hetfield?
True outlaws are not bound by any societal designations as James Hatfield presents Waylon's masterpiece.☘️
Nice to hear a song with James and no annoying wah pedal.
one of the greatest performers of all time!James is a beast on stage.
People who say Mustaine is a better guitarist than hetfield ok that's fine, clearly hetfield is all around better musician than mustaine.. This is proof!
Damn straight!!!
Sloppy Joe Rhythmically, James shits down Mustaines throat!
I want James to make a country album. Now.
its great to see these country boys cut loos
Maybe James should go put on his own. start a country metal band!
this is amazing.i love when he clicks into overdrive after that first verse
Why does everyone compare mustaine and hetfield?! Both are great musicians... Just enjoy the music guys
Pretty silly comparison considering james barely plays leads
JAMES IS TRUELY AMAZING!! I LOVE THIS SONG AND VIDEO!!
Hey🌹all love and how are you doing today?
